[437] It is not clear whether Ἕκτορος is to be taken closely with “ἄλοχος” or with “πέπυστο”; the absence of a participle (“θανόντος”) is in favour of the former, though we have the simple gen. in Od. 8.12 “ὄφρα ξείνοιο πύθησθε”.
