[56] 56 = Od. 14.495. ἐνύπνιον, which does not recur in Homer, is an adverbial neut. of the adj. “ἐνύπνιος” (like “ἦλθον ἐναίσιμον” 6.519), and is so found in Ar. Vesp. 1218 “ἐνύπνιον ἑστιώμεθα” . Compare the Attic use of “ὄναρ”. In later Greek, however, “ἐνύπνιον” was generally used as a substantive, and accordingly Zenod. read “θεῖον” here.
