[511] For the double acc. ὅ μιν βάλεν see 5.361 “ἕλκος ὅ με βροτὸς οὔτασεν”, and cf. 8.405 “ἕλκεα . . ἅ κεν μάρπτηισι κεραυνός”. The constr. ἐπεσσύμενον τείχεος is the same as in 12.388, q. v.
