[33] ἵεν = “ἵεσαν”, as Pind. I. i. 25 “λιθίνοις ὁπότ᾽ ἐν δίσκοις ἵεν”. Cf. 2.752 “ὅς ῥ᾽ ἐς Πηνειὸν προϊεῖ καλλίρροον ὕδωρ” (and the spurious 21.58 “Ἀξιοῦ ὃς κάλλιστον ὕδωρ ἐπὶ γαῖαν ἵησι”). If we read “ἵει” (“ἵη”) we must refer it to Poseidon. “ἴεν” is also possible.
