DIY Dreadclaw from a Drop Pod Conversion Tutorial Revisited!

TJ AKA Old School Terminator (I love dropping names I haven't used since 2012) here to talk about converting Dreadclaws for your Chaos or you 30k army using just a single drop pod kit (technically less than the whole kit). I really dig the fact that using units like the Dreadclaw is becoming more widely accepted. Playing with these units shouldn't break a player's budget and it also shouldn't force them to resort to using the dreaded Pepsi Bottle Proxy. I want to revisit this tutorial, brush up the explanations and help distribute it to a whole other generation of players. Let's take a look.

Glottkin Maulerfiend, Spined Beast Conversion Finished and Based! One of my Favorite Works!

TJ here to show off what I would consider one of my best conversions/ kitbashes: The Panther. This project has been a ton of fun and I have challenged myself to try techniques I am unfamiliar with and a gravity defying pose. I am extremely proud to show this off here so let's take a look around this fecund feline!

Glottkin Maulerfiend Conversion Continues V: Ripped Flesh and Nearly Complete

TJ here with more of my latest project, which has been dubbed Gluttony, or keeping the zoo theme: Project Sex Panther (PSP). A lot more green stuff work has gone into this, so let's take a look at it.

The Glottkin Mauler/ Spined Beast Conversion Update 1

TJ here to discuss my progress with the Glottkin  mauler fiend/ Spined Chaos Beast. Last time we looked at the basics and to be fair, it isn't far from where we left off, but I am excited to pick the tools up again and get to work.

Glottkin Conversions: Plague Panther Part 1

TJ here to talk about my first Glottkin conversion peice. Basically, I am turning his arms into an entirely different (40k) model. Let's take a look at the mock up so far, which I call the Panther to fit my history of zoo themed project names.

It Came From the Forums Quickie: 40k Maggoth Maulerfiend Conversions from Lagrath!

TJ here with an It Came From the Forums quickie to show off some kitbashes brought to my attention by a reader and artist know as Lagrath at Bolter and Chainsword. We have talked previously about how these kits could theoretically make awesome models together, but he went and did it. He is the creator of an awesome pair of Maulerfiends that have been bashed with the Maggoth and also at the start of an incredible Nurgle project.

Let's take a look ...

Hell Blade DIY Conversion Complete, Budget Can be Beautiful

TJ here with the final construction update for the DIY Hell Talon conversion I am working on: Project Carrion Daemon. The first construction post generated a ton of conversation, so I just wanted to throw up some photos and talk a little about my choices before I cover this thing up with primer and start painting it. Let's take a walk around this odd duck.

Maggoth End Times 40k Conversion Ideas You can Steal!

TJ here to look at another of the Nurgle End Times models from Warhammer Fantasy from the perspective of a 40k modeller. Last time we looked at the Glottkin and while I think you will struggle to find that kind of value in the Maggoth Lord kit (or any other kit ever), I do think there are some ideas here for a skilled converter who has the desire and ability to stretch the kit out.

Budget wings for DIY Hell Blade/ Talon or Heldrake: Cheap doesn't have to be flimsy or ugly!

TJ here with a budget minded tutorial on building Chaotic Wings for a Do It Yourself Hell Blade, Hell Talon or Heldrake. The size of the wings I make in this tut will be more appropriate for a Hell Talon, but can easily be trimmed down either before or after construction. I ended up making mine for a Hell Blade by modifying them.

Before we get too far, I am not a handy man. I take bad notes and those of you who may have OCD will likely dislike my ADD methods! Condider this a journey and less a tutorial if it makes you feel better.

Anyway, let's talk materials and get on with the tut.

Glottkin in 40k: Conversion Ideas YOU Can Steal!

TJ here with a post regarding my plans for the Glottkin bros. I will do other posts for my End Times Nurgle plans, but this post is all about getting the best value for my dollar on this kit, which I will have in hand very shortly.

With no further delay, lets look at the brothers ...

New Chaos Daemons and CSM models available from new Fantasy Release!

World Eaters Knight Titan Lord of Skulls Kitbash: Inspiration and a Plan!

TJ here. Ok, so it is no secret that I love huge conversions and evil machines/ monsters. For more than a year, I have looked at the Lord of Skulls and wished it was something else, something more. Then Imperial Knights came along and I got really excited, but figured the scale of the Lord and the Knight were off (the torso seemed way too big for the knight legs in photos ... but then I just kept getting bombarded with ideas.

Chaos Sorcerer Biker Conversion: Hit the Road with a Horseman of the Apocalypse!

TJ here, dropping in after the holiday break to present you with a little conversion I whipped up for one of my Chaos Sorcerers - Ashiok, (or if brevity isn't really your thing) the Herald of the Army of the Apocalypse, Diviner of the Inevitable, Summoner of Swarms and Blight of 1,000 Battlefields. Enough pomp and circumstance though, let's take a look at the latest sorcerer to enter my cabal.

This is just the first of several posts that will take you along on the ride for this conversion. Let's take a look at where we stand right now.

Skull Cannon of Khorne Conversion Painted and Ready to Roll!

TJ here with my latest Daemon project. This time, I have a Khorne Skull Cannon conversion using the original model, a Juggernaut and some Green Stuff. When I first started this project, I honestly felt like it would bore me to death, but I have found that this has been way more fun to paint that I at first imagined.

Dreadknight Daemon Prince Conversion: Part 1, Help Me Make A DP

TJ here with another big baddie. Before I took off on the boat a month ago, I was building a DP out of a Dreadknight I had won at a local tourney. I just didn't feel right with where it was going, so before I left I tore an arm off of it and disappeared.
