Making a Nurgle Portalglyph

Creating Something That Has No Model

This is Mike Loniewski again. I hope you had a wonderful holiday! I managed to find a little free time to make up something for a tournament occurring at AFK Games in Lansing this past weekend. I had planned to bring my Death Guard with Nurgle allies force to this friendly event. To me, friendly means, well friendly. And in being friendly, I want to treat my new friends with respect. I feel it is respectful to bring accurately modeled models to the game. I feel it is disrespectful to bring grey unprimed models, three pop cans and call it your drop-pod Space Wolves. I feel it is disrespectful to your opponent that you thought it wasn’t worth your time to accurately represent your models while they did.

Sunday Quick Tip: Dealing with the Fuzz

I recently got it in my mind after OST told me of his talk with Dave Taylor that I should try a little harder on my painting competition models. So with that for this years crystal brush I wanted to dedicate effort to a unit for crystal brush specifically and not just find my best painted model out of my bag when I got there.

This lead me to pick up a space wolf terminator box set and some fancy yet dangerous primer: Army Painter.

How to: Loose chain skulls!

So will my decent into the dark places (darker than usual for the grim darkness of the future) I needed some terrifying decorations for my chaos.  Hanging skulls always does the trick..I guess...so that's what I've been up to with my prepaint prep of the army.

With that, I wanted to share how I go about it because I do a little more than just gluing skulls to my guys all willy-nilly.  For this you'll need the things pictured above.

I've recently undertook a plasticard project and wanted to post some words on how I work with plasticard.
