TJ here to introduce you to an artist known as Rumple Master and just one of his fantastic conversion armies, his Yellow, Rusty Necrons. Now as a fellow artist with an army of yellow, white and blue, rusty Necrons, I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw these incredible conversions in my favorite scheme. Wonder what this huge mech is? Well, let's look together ...

Artist of the Week Returns! Bohun's Masterpeices! SW, CSM and Eldar!
Old School here, bringing back one of our original features: Artist of The Week. The Artist of the Week is something we give out to those incredible artists who make our jaws hit the floor with their work. This will likely either merge in the future with It Came from the Forums, or the two will run opposite to each other, but enough of the logistics, let's take a look at this week's artist: Bohun! Bohun is somebody who doesn't paint models, he creates masterpeices - the kind that make you wonder how the hell he did it, just like this Space Wolves Dreadnought above. The lines and weathering on the armor son't even seem possible to me and the soft highlights add an element of realism that I have never seen in a miniature before ... and the banner ... I don't even know where to begin with that.
Let's take a look at at more of his work and while we do that, if you have trouble seeing the images, just click on them or follow the link to his gallery at the bottom of the post ...

The Best Tyranid Conversions on Video - Steveprimebot's Hive Fleet Macabre!
Old School here. It is a rainy day and what better way to kill some time than to look at possibly the best looking Tyranid Army Videos on the Web - of course I mean Steveprimebot's Hive Fleet Macabre. He has a converted Doom, Several Tervigons (all different), an amazing Hive tyrant, the Parasite, Warrior Prime, the best Harpy I have yet to see and a great tutorial ... and that is just what I posted on the blog here today. He actually has batreps, more tutorials and conversions, more Hive fleet Macabre and photos of some units from other armies. Take a look at these videos and if they strike you the way they have me, then go to his channel and check out the rest - these videos are all massively inspiring and i may have to steal a couple of these great ideas! Enjoy.
Tentacle faced Tyrant
Incredible Harpy, using Malanthrope bits
Best Tervigon I have seen yet - also with Malanthrope bits (I am going to steal this idea)
Warrior Prime - kind of a sick looking centuar
The parasite - best conversion of him I have seen by far.
The Doom
And a tutorial on how to paint his scheme - best part is that it is all dimestore paints!
Hopefully you have enjoyed these videos, please go check out his channel and let him know how you feel!

Artist of the Week! Edwin of Daith's Forge!
Old School here with the Artist of the Week! This week's artist is Edwin of Daith's Forge and of White Raven Factory. I really like his clean style and his really intricate blending of freehand into fabric (the farseer is the best example). His blog is also fairly new and could use a visit, so if you like what you see, visit http://daith.blogspot.com/ and check out the work. Also check out White Raven Factory to see the work of his fellow artists. Comments as always are welcome.

Artist of the Week: James Wappel!
Old School here once again with the Artist of the Week! This week we are taking a look at the work of James Wappel of http://www.windycityminiatures.com His list of awards counts numerous Rogue Daemons from Adepticon and he has painted for many of the top miniature producers in his career. It is clear why the pros have their stuff painted by him. Just take a look at his work.
Below are his winners from 2010's Adepticon Regiment/Squad catagory and Large Vehicle. Having seen these models first-hand, I have a great apreciation for the incredible amount of work that surely went into these minis and the almost-never seen flawlessness of every facet of the modelling and painting. My hats off to Jim!

Scibor: Artist of the Week and great custom bits
Old School here with the Artist of the Week: Scibor of Scribor's Monstrous Miniatures! This week, I am not only going to show off a portion of this artists word, but I will highlight some of the conversion items the artist sells on his web site. Let's take a look. Above is an amazing take on Thunderwolf Cavalry. The rider and the wolf appear to be original sculpts with lots of small-detail sculpting and press molding.
This photo look like a dark twist on the Master of the Ravenwing and is surely an imposing model on the table.
This mini highlights much of what you can find of Scibor's work on Coolminiornot and on Ebay for that matter - his original sculpted models that could make amazing Space Marine. While most of this level work from Scribor is out of control expensive for the average hobbyist, the items below are reletively affordable for those looking for custom stuff to make their army shine.
These side panels look great and are sure to make most Marine players drool!
These Templar shoulder pads are sure to make Captain Obvious for up his $7 for some of these!
And yes, I will be forking over some of my own for these for my fledging 13th Company Wolves
... and the Celtic Shields!
... and the Celtic Shields!
Huge Templar shields!
Now we get into his bases. I have featured some his possessed looking bases, but he offers them in all type and they are all impressive.
Look at that!
.
With all that said, whether you want to buy some sick conversion bits or bases or maybe you just want to have your hair blown back (or stubble in the case of Capt. O) by some Crazy minis, check out http://www.sciborminiatures.com/ or look at his work at coolminiornot by searching Scibor in the artist catagory. Have fun, wear a bib and as always, comments are welcome!

Artist of the Week! Tim's Centurions from Adepticon!
The Artist of the Week this week is from Adepticon, his name is Tim and his army is full of amazing conversions that stopped every person who walked by. His Centurion themed Space Wolf list was my personal favorite from Adepticon and is a reminder of what I love about our Hobby. Tim, you inspired me to have a beautiful army for next year! Maybe I can buy you a beer! And if you are out there, please tell us all about the conversions. The readers are all ears!

Artist of the Week: Hydra from Warp Shadow!
Old School here with the Artist of the Week. Since I am knee deep in converting 2 Tervigons and 2 Harpies, I figured it would be a good idea to show you where the inspiration is coming from. I owe all the great inspiration to an amazing artist called Hydra from the Warp Shadow tyranid forum. His Lictors are simply works of art and reflect not only his graphic mental image of their ferocity, but also his artist ability to render what exists in the realm of nightmares into reality!
His Harpie is also an inspirational peice to me and I am trying to figure out just how I will reproduce this amazing model!
For more of this Tyrannofex, visit Hydra's gallery at http://album.warpshadow.com/v/Hydra/ and take a look around you will find plenty of great stuff in his albums and there are enough photos of his projects in WIP status for most hobbyists to reverse engineer them! Enjoy!
The tervigo in the photo above is the inspiration for the one I am creating right now and there is a photo tutorial in his gallery called brood 6, you will find it if you follow the link I am going to provide at the end of this article.

Artist of the Week: Dezart Fox from Vanus Temple!
This week's Artist of the Week is Dezart Fox at the Vanus Temple. When I started this blog, I had seen some of his on the web and since then, I have always kept an eye on his blog. From his expansive body of Deathwing work to his amazing Space Hulk set and of course his custom Kharn the Betrayer, Dezart Fox's realistic style of painting and subtle yet powerful conversions have been an inspiration to many here in the blogosphere.
.
If you have been blogging in a cave or have just never heard of the Vanus Temple, then I suggest you follow this link and check out his galleries: http://www.the-vanus-temple.com/
