Greetings all. SeerK here. Today I wanted to talk about a game that I have recently been learning. Tj has been talking about his journey into Infinity, I am starting to get into that as well, so I thought I should post about my journey into the world of Malifaux. I was approached by 40kOrigins to help out at Origins Game Fair June 3rd-7th. They are running all the 40K, Necromunda and BFG tournaments as well as running demos of Mercs, Drop Zone Commander, Rivet Wars and Malifaux. I personally will be Running Malifaux Demos Wednesday and Thursday. I am not running and Spartan Games stuff, but I will have my fleets and Planetfall army with me if anybody is interested in a game or 5. Next year me thinks there will be some Firestorm Armada though.
I am new to the world of Malifaux. For those of you unfamiliar with Malifaux, it is a 32mm Skirmish game based in the old west produced by Wyrd Games. The old west meets Gothic steam punk with some magic and inter dimensional travel mixed in for good measure.

New Nurgle, pt. 2 -- a hands on with the new Putrid Blightkings
Hey everyone, KrautScientist here. In the last post published here on DFG, TJ already talked about the possible conversion potential of the new Putrid Blightkings. And now that the kit has been with us for a while, allow me to talk in more detail about my own experience with these guys. Step this way to learn more.

My Pipe Dream - Part 7
Ho!
The holidays are a busy time and sorry for my lack of posting. But I'm not really sorry because I'm sure you've been busy too. So there.
And shame on you for trying to make me feel bad about it.

My Pipe Dream - Part 6
Ho! Ho! Ho!
Fly Molo back after a great holiday! I trust you all had the same and I'd love to see what 40k toys you got.
I, for one, received a model I'd been writing to Santa about. I was as giddy as a school boy.

Local Tourney Preparation - 1850
Ho all!
Fly back with plans to get out of the house and attend a local event. One of our three Lansing area game stores is hosting an event coming up on January 5th and from what I understand, it will be an 1850 point tournament with no Escalation, Dataslates or Stronghold allowed. There goes my Bel'akor idea.

My Pipe Dream - Part 2
Ho!
This is part deux of Fly Molo's series on making his very own awesome Warhammer table. Part 1 can be found here.
So I hit the store. Lowes is going to get about $60 of my money which I think is reasonable for a table that I hope to have for a long time. And one that's going to be totally sweet!

Well, in follow up to my recent jury-duty-list-building-post, I fielded something similar to it against my good buddy Jesse.

Guest Post: A Space Marine Hobby Journal
An Army WIP
I was sent this hobby journal request by one of our readers. I met Jeff at the Michigan GT and really enjoyed talking with him about painting and playing. We're always happy to help encourage the hobby so when he asked to journal his new undertaking with space marines I was more than happy to put it up. He has a long road ahead of him and I hope we can all follow and encourage him through his journey.
-Chris Vinton
Hello, for those of you that I have not yet met, my name is Jeff. I have been playing 40k in the Grand Rapids area for 10 years now. In that time I have built and owned nearly every army including; Imperial Guard, Space Marines, Blood Angels, Grey Knights, Deamons, Tryanids, Black Templar, Dark Eldar, and recently added a Tau army with some Eldar allies.
The Worst Thing About Getting What You Want...
... is getting what you want.

The Case For Heavy Bolters
Ho,
Fly back to do the impossible (that might be a little dramatic... how about difficult?): Make a case for the much maligned heavy bolter.
And make a case I will.

Pure Michigan Player Feature: Harley Mace's Dread Knight
Here is a quick Michigan Player feature oh Harley Mace's Dreadknight conversion. Between the conversion and paint this model really stood out over the last weekend at Gamer's Gauntlet.

Sentinels of Terra iBook review
by Chris Vinton
I just downloaded the ibook and have been looking it over. As a new Chapter Supplement I'm very excited to see what was in this. I looked around for a 'under the hood' type review because as someone that doesn't normally play imperial fists, I wanted to have a read before I buy look at it. Unfortunately there is little out there so after sleeping on it I decided to drop the 40$ and let all of you enjoy this buy as well. Hopefully this will help our readers make an educated buy.
Deep Strike the Right Way
Ho,
Fly back to continue a discuss about alternative deployment that can be found here.
I plan on getting a little more in depth into one of the alternative modes: Deep Strike.
And I love Deep Strike. It is A-Mazing.

The Price is Right!
Ho,
Fly here to discuss the actual retail price... and to remind you to have your pets spayed or neutered.
I, like most of you, have an army that I secretly want to buy, build and paint even though I don't have the means or the relationship capital with my wife to do it. That army for me right now is Imperial Fists. I want a full on painted, converted, fluffy Imperial Fist army with all sorts of units, so I can mix and match every game to my current whims and playing style (this is also why I chose Imperial Fists and Guard as my next charity army).
