TJ AKA Old School Terminator (I love dropping names I haven't used since 2012) here to talk about converting Dreadclaws for your Chaos or you 30k army using just a single drop pod kit (technically less than the whole kit). I really dig the fact that using units like the Dreadclaw is becoming more widely accepted. Playing with these units shouldn't break a player's budget and it also shouldn't force them to resort to using the dreaded Pepsi Bottle Proxy. I want to revisit this tutorial, brush up the explanations and help distribute it to a whole other generation of players. Let's take a look.

Perturabo Fully Painted and Ready for War!
Not long ago I asked what people thought my next project would be. Keeping in step with the unsubtle nature of the Iron Warriors, I have decided to announce my return to the IV Legion with the posting of their gene-father, the Lord of Iron, Perturabo. The model I chose is the Pro-Turbo model from Hi-Tech Miniatures, which as you can imagine, is a great fit for Perturabo. In fact, with further research into the Heresy series, this model is nearly dead accurate. In any case, I really enjoyed painting the model that will form the centerpiece of the Heresy-Era Iron Warriors and their cohort. Let take a look at the model and where I drew inspiration from.

Who Plays 30k and Other Heresy Related Questions
OST here to pose some questions to the community concerning 30k. I don't talk about it here a whole lot, but I have been into the Heresy Era since before BL was publishing books about. 30k Hipster status aside, now that there are rules and models for it, I haven't actually ever seen anybody playing it and aside from the old Tempus Fugitives stuff (which is awesome), I haven't really seen a ton of traffic and actual batreps either. With that said, I have some questions for the Gurus out there when it comes to playing games in the 31st Millenium:

Showcase: Kitbashed Legio Custodes army
So what we are looking at here is a small army of Pre-Heresy Custodes, the Empire’s personal bodyguard. I have been in love with the Legio Custodes ever since I read through German WD 112 (from April 2005): Not only did it feature rules for a Horus Heresy campaign, but it also marked the first time I ever saw Dave Taylor’s spectacular Legio Custodes army. There was something about those guys that really clicked with me. And even now, quite a few years later, Dave’s Custodes are still easily one of my favourite armies ever.

Thirsty Thursday: 20 Shots for 20 legions Part 1: Heretics' Edition
Sammy here with another installment of Thirsty Thursday and this one is a double (see what I did there). This is the first in a two part series covering the original Space Marine Legions and the drinks that represent them and just in case you haven't been reading here long or haven't met us at Adepticon, we love to drink!
This one is all about shots, shooters, and bombs! I will do my best to keep the ingredients to what is available nationwide but that might not be possible in some instances. So lets dive in.

An Interview with Black Library Author Mike Lee
Old School here with another entry to our interview series.
This time, we are very excited to bring you Mike Lee. We were lucky enough to
be able to interview Black Library Author, Mike Lee during the Dropzone Games
Grand Opening in Glen Burnie, MD. We had a great time and really just shot the breeze about stuff we love - from wargaming to the Heresy Series, RPGs and Horror.
For those of you who don’t know about Mike, he is best known
for the Chronicles of Malus Darkblade and the Time of Legends; Nagash series.
He also wrote Fallen Angels from the Horus Heresy series and has also worked as
a game designer for White Wolf Publishing’s Demon: The Fallen. With no further
delay, let’s get into this interview, but before we start I really have to give it up to Mike Lee for going so in depth with us. This was a great interview and really blew my expectations away ... if only everything was publishable!

The Heresy Relived: SeerK Brings You Classic Battles Of The Heresy
I found 2 campaign packs when I was looking for old 40K source material on the web. It was a campaign weekend done at Warhammer world and Bugmans pub in the U.K. By the gaming group the Tempus Fugitives. It was called the Age of the Emperor and it detailed the major battles of the Horus Heresy. These packs include the stats for many of the personalities in the Horus Heresy novels as well as the Custodus, Sisters of Silence and the Cults of Davine. They also include Stat blocks and rules for the Primarchs. They have another Campaign weekend planned in March in England for those of you across the pond. Check out The Tempus Fugitives website for details.
So OST, Vogrin, CVinton and I will be doing some of these battles at the FLGS over the next few weeks and bring you the blow by blow highlights. Vogrin and local Daemon player Papa Nurgle squared off for our first classic battle. Sanguinius the Primarch of the Blood Angels versus the Ka'Bandha the lord of the Blood Thirsters.
Now to give a little bit of information on the Combatants.

Garro: Legion of One and Oath review and Black Library Audio Books
For those of us who enjoy reading the Horus Heresy novels, Flight of the Eisenstein is no doubt a stand-out novel. The book introduces Nathaniel Garro and the rest is history ... or is it? The end of Eisenstein begs for more on what happens to Garro, but the Black Library has decided to only release the continuation in Audio format. This is a smart move for them (taking a story we are all interested in and making it avaiable in a way most of us wouldn't normally use), but has caused some friction. After holding out for a very long time, Inquisitor Lord Vogrin and I bought a copy of Legion of One and Oath of Moment at Adepticon and I just wanted to share my thoughts on the books and the audio format in general.
