Life has been a little nuts but I've actually had some time to play some Warhammer. My last game was still the 3rd round of the TJ Must Die Open, which I did pretty well in.

Local Tourney Preparation - 1850

Fly back with plans to get out of the house and attend a local event. One of our three Lansing area game stores is hosting an event coming up on January 5th and from what I understand, it will be an 1850 point tournament with no Escalation, Dataslates or Stronghold allowed. There goes my Bel'akor idea.

I bought this great book many years ago:

Towards the back of the book, they show examples of completed game boards, and if that isn't terrain porn, I don't know what is. GW's official boards are WAY better than most other boards I've played on. The themes, the realism, the quality... they just have great terrain. I guess that makes sense considering that they are the best miniature company in the world.

I, like most of you, have an army that I secretly want to buy, build and paint even though I don't have the means or the relationship capital with my wife to do it. That army for me right now is Imperial Fists. I want a full on painted, converted, fluffy Imperial Fist army with all sorts of units, so I can mix and match every game to my current whims and playing style (this is also why I chose Imperial Fists and Guard as my next charity army).

Simple Conversion Start to Finish

Inspiration abound as of late, I thought I would share a project that was one that involved some simple conversion work, some simple freehand and some better than expected results.

In the not-too-distant past, I was playing a game of Warhammer 40k. All of the names, dates and armies have been changed in the interest of protecting the identities of those involved.
