Death Star Update.... no more orks...

So with great sadness I have to report my orks will not be making their appearance in the team tournament as planned. Unfortunately I had to move for a new job and both things combined meant that I was not getting things done in time.

Fear not however, for there still shall be an appearance by the mighty Lord Solar Steve and the rest of the team. Instead I am playing a guard list that is very death starry... in fact I believe I am fielding the main gun from the Death Star...

That's right... I am fielding the magnificent Deathstrike Missile Launcher... protected by 3 Leman Russ Executioners with side sponson plasma cannons... Here is the full list just for kicks... it might change up a bit but so far this seems like the best options for most fun.

Oh and just to let my opponents in on a great secret... so maybe you'll let me shoot the Deathstrike Missile Launcher... Every time It goes off... I am taking a shot... so.... fun times!!!!!!

FOR THE EMPEROR

And so it begins.... Lord Solar Whips his Nobz Back and Forth!

 

So as I stated awhile back, I was buying parts for a new army for the Team Tournament at Adepticon. As also stated, it would be orky.... and so it is, I have decided to run my Death Star as the most ill fated and hated of the ork death stars.... the Nob Biker squad... I do not have the details of the list completely hammered out just yet, however that does not mean I could not be working on the models themselves.

Over the past few weeks the DFG crew as well as other local gamers have been heading up to our FLGS and painting and assembling our armies on Wednesday nights. The result of this has been a big inspiration for myself to get to work on my list and the models I need to complete it. So far I have 3 Nob Bikers down.

The Road To Adepticon: Team Deathstar

The road to Adepticon is paved in Resin, plastic, paint and lots of tears. Mostly the tears of those trying to paint an army in under a month because they put it off for the past year. DFG will be representing in the Team Tournament this year. Myself, Lord Solar Steve, The Judge and Samsquatch Monster will be playing as Team Death Star. Lord Solar announced it a couple months ago, but given its the new year I thought I would start off our road to Adepticon.

I will be bringing the Craftworlders. A Seer Council on bikes to be exact. I am in process of assembly with 4 warlocks completed. I will be using the Chapter House Studios conversion kits. As it stands I have my Farseer completed and one Squadron of Guardians on bikes completed. I have yet to put paint on the warlocks, but the 4 I do have assembled are in primer and ready to paint. I have to acquire some more Chapter house warlock kits, 6 to be exact, and a couple more Guardian bikes and I will have all I need for my 1000 point force.

I will be keeping everybody posted about Team Deathstars “Road to Adepticon” over the next couple months. So keep your eyes open as there will be a flurry of modeling and painting over the next two months.
