I know, What is up with the Brangelina photo? Well, I want to talk about doubles games and the unique chance they give you to make two armies come together in the nastiest possible ways.

We play a lot of doubles due to a severe lack of table-space at Evolution Games, our local FLGS (ahem, Farseer Rerolls, I thought we were going to work on that!) and as a result, we play a lot of team games. Everything from 2 on 2 1000 points each to 2 on 2 1500 points each (and I mean per player, so we are talking between 2000-3500 a side). Along the way, you see some incredible matches. Guard plus daemons can be a real bitch to deal with when the two armies are built to compliment each other, Orks and Tau can make for a ridiculously harsh enemy capable of removing you from transports and then running you down in assault.

Myself and Captain Obvious have recently put our heads together and have started running our Chaos Space Marines and Dark Eldar in a nasty little template spam configuration and we have found the combo so potent that I have dubbed it "Brangelina" (feel free to send the gay comments, funniest one wins an express mailed 4 pack of of my favorite Dark Ale. but it really has to be funny). Anyway, it capitalizes on the strengths that the two list can play to their advantage when run together and goes a little something like this:

Chaos: Lash Princes, Oblitz, Plaguers (as much as can fit).

DE: (Vect in his flying Land Raider, 3 Ravagers with their plasma blast weapons, a drachyte with retinue and as many 10-man 2 Sark Lance Sniper Squads as we can fit.

I know it is cheezy, but the way team games are designed at the store is to take advantage of the nastiest possible combos, so ours fits the general mould. Basically we have tha capability of disembarking 50+% of most of the enemy and then can spend the rest of the game shooting plasma template spam and then rush to contest for the end.

Hopefully by now you get the question behind this post ... I want to know
Given a combined list of 3000 points (1500 a player), what is the nastiest doubles list you could possibly put together? The rules here are that you have to list a well-thought out tactica as to how you would use it and how it would function and why you think that it is the power couple of 40k!
