The Spirit of the Game

The Spirit of the Game

Ho,
This is Mike Loniewski, my handle is Fly Molo and I’m officially a contributor to Dark Future Games. Thanks to Chris for getting me involved, I truly appreciate the chance to help out. I’ll try to keep up with fresh posts from my perspective and I hope you readers enjoy them.
I need you (the reader) to help me out here. We’re going to use our imaginations for a moment. I’m going to give you a scenario. When you’re reading it, I want you to stop at the end of each little section (each will be separated by a few lines) and ponder what it said. I mean, really ponder it. Think about the words. Think about what you would *feel* like if this was really happening to you. Think about how this scenario might really play out. Draw upon actual past experiences and think about how you felt then. Thank you for doing this by the way.

Tips and Tutorials from the DFG Hub: Our Authors Whip it On!

Old School here with an update to the HUB. Since we haven't gotten any new tutorial links from the blogging community, we are adding some of our own to the mix. The list below is far from all of our tuts and tips, but it was a lot of fun going through them and revisiting some of those old gems!

If you want to add your tutorials to our hub page, then send them in to us at darkfuturegames@gmail.com and we will add a link to the page that will direct traffic to your page. We get 60k+ visitors a month and want to help our readers find YOUR BLOG.

Here is just some of what DFG has dropped into the Hub this week!

Weekly Tips and Tutorials from the DFG Hub!

OST here to catch up on the weekly Tips and Tutorials from the DFG Hub. We haven't done the Hub update over the holidays with all of the family and travel that goes on during that time, but that didn't stop our Hub members from sending in some pretty great links. This week is pretty awesome with links to painting, modelling and even a review (which we are looking for more of BTW) and a super-useful Magnet article! Running this Hub so far has reminded me how much stronger and smarter we are as a community than on our own. If you are interested in getting your links into the Hub, e-mail the to us with the subject line "DFG Links" to darkfuturegames@gmail.com. Check out this week's links:

Building a Better Hobby: The DFG Community Project

Ladies and Gentlemen, Dark Future Games is changing and we are taking you with us. Old School here to ask you to join us in building a better Dark Future Games. We have always been kind of a commune of sorts, but it has been poorly represented here to the web. We want this to be a blog for other bloggers and for our readers as much as it is a place for us. The problem is that this format has always been a way to talk at people instead of with them. That has all changed as of today.
