The Falkland Islands off the coast of South America are home to around 500,000 penguins. They tend to stick together, but one of the flightless birds found himself lost from the rest of his kind. Luckily, the little fella didn’t have to feel lonely for too long.
The cutie wandered onto the Cape Pembrokeshire Nature Reserve, where he found a group of friendly horses. Then, this happened:
Sarah Crofts, a member of the Falklands Conservation group, snapped incredible photos of this adorable moment.

She was out there feeding her own horses, and at first, she didn’t think they’d pay the penguin much notice at all.

But the curious equines couldn’t ignore the strange new visitor, taking turns bending down to sniff and inspect him.

There was, of course, some initial awkwardness, but “it didn’t take long for the horses to become braver and soon they were nose to beak.”

Crofts says it became sort of a game for the herd and that soon they were all reluctant to let the handsome bird out of their sight.

Horses in the island town don’t regularly interact with the penguins, despite there being so many there, so it must have been a real treat for them.

I think it’s safe to say the little guy didn’t mind all the attention, either!

Just thinking about all the cute adventures this crew will get into makes me smile. In fact, does anyone have a contact at Disney? I think I might have an idea for their next movie…
