This Super-Sweet Otter Does NOT Want To Wake Up From A Nap...We Feel You, Ryer

Waking up from a nap is never easy, especially those extra-juicy mid-afternoon naps in the sunshine, all snuggled up in a blanket. This struggle isn’t limited to us humans, either. This little otter is not about to be disturbed from his dreams of blissfully floating down a river.

“Nope!” *Hits snooze*

There is no right side of the bed when waking up from a nap. Those first few minutes walking around, trying to catch your bearings, wondering what time it is…they’re never fun. So why not just go back to sleep?!

This Toddler's Argument Against Nap Time Is The Cutest Thing Ever

There comes an age where nap time no longer seems like the best thing ever. Instead, it’s a pointless, childish activity that takes time away from playtime! Of course, later in life, nap time once again becomes appreciated and sometimes necessary…but that’s much later, and this little boy is nowhere near that.

He is definitely not all about this whole napping idea…

And his little “no nap time” dance is adorable!

Fast-forward five minutes…

Fast-forward 20-30 years…

“Expense reports can wait. Get outta here, Carl.”

Resist the nap for as long as you want, little guy, but sooner or later, the 3 p.m. sandman will come for you!

26 Cats Sleeping In The Weirdest Places...What Were They Thinking?

Ah, cats; they’re total mysteries to most. Why are they so sneaky? Why are they so sassy? Why do they show us their butts? There are countless things that cats do that are totally and uniquely feline, but that’s why we love them! One of the things we’ll never understand, though, is where they choose to rest their heads at night…or rather, the 12-16 hours per day that they sleep.

I guess when you’re sleeping that much, you’ve got to get creative?

1. …It’s not even a cushy armrest.

2. I just washed those.

3. Not only does this look uncomfortable, but it’s outdated. CDs…really?

4. Now you’re just being cliché, cat.

5. You too…c’mon, get a little more creative.

6. I know you can see in the dark…but I can’t.

7. “What? I like the heat lamp.”

8. We’re gonna need that back before dinner.

9. So much for leaving the house today.

10. You guys know there’s a whole entire house full of places to spread out, right?

11. “No! Never end…a sentence…with a prepositio—zzZZzzzzZz.”

12. Can we talk about how this sleepy cat has thumbs, please?!

13. I can’t make coffee for you if you’re going to sleep on the coffee maker.

14. Try as you might, you’ll never be as good at yoga as this cat.

15. This security cat isn’t very good at his job.

16. So it wasn’t leaves after all…

17. You’re right, it’s better to start sleeping on the baby before it’s born.

18. Fur-to-fur contact is actually really beneficial to your heath.

19. I guess we’re not having stir-fry tonight.

20. When you’re trying to pack up your summer clothes and your cats are like:

21. Ah, yes, the purrito. Delicious.

22. At least he’s not on the computer.

23. “See, we’re not that different. We both put our shorts on one paw at a time.”

24. The wily cat plant:

25. I only hope he isn’t one to toss and turn in his sleep.

26. …Nope.

Oh, trash cat. That’s just gross. You win for worst creative decision on where to nap today. I do, however, forgive you, because you definitely made me laugh!

Wish You Could Take A Quick Nap At Work? You Can With This Cozy Desk

As much as you might have resisted them as a child, as an adult, you’ve probably grown to appreciate naps. These blissful little breaks from the world make you look more like a well-adjusted adult and less like a disoriented zombie.

But the adult world isn’t exactly conducive to napping. We’re forced to trudge on, down another cup of coffee, and try not to pass out. It’s a vicious cycle.

The designers at the Greek company Studio NL, however, want to change that!

They want to give you the right to nap again.

This innovative desk features a compartment underneath that opens up into a little bed for when you absolutely need to crash. It can even be hooked up with a monitor in case you need some white noise to drown out the sounds of your work environment.

The top of the desk can be slid out, which allows a second person to use the desk while someone is sleeping below. This makes it perfect for teams that need to stay up late finishing projects, since they can all take turns napping and working.

Of course, it’s probably better to nap without someone’s knees in your way, but think of the bliss this could bring your workplace.

If you want more privacy (and you’re not claustrophobic), you can even fold yourself inside by shutting the walls. You can see the desk in action, and also check out more designs by Studio NL, on their website.

This Man Took An Innocent Nap At Work, And Now He's Famous

A copy writer at an advertising agency called Brandenburg, Haukur Viðar Alfreðsson is also an avid NBA fan. He even stayed up late to watch the playoffs despite the time difference between the U.S. and his home in Iceland. And we mean really late: he stayed up until 4 a.m., and had to be in the office just five hours later. Needless to say, he was tired.

During some down time, Alfreðsson decided to catch a quick nap on the office couch. It all started off so innocently…

Here’s the original picture of Alfreðsson napping. Pretty innocuous, right?

Not if you work at Brandenburg.

Spying him snoozing on the couch, someone snapped a picture. Taking pictures and altering them into something silly is actually common practice in the Brandenburg office. It’s seen as a source of fun and camaraderie. However, Alfreðsson was the first lucky one of the bunch to have his altered photos posted to social media.

Some of the choices were obvious:

We think the flower crown is a wonderful addition.

Inspiration came in the form of fairy tales, classic literature, pop culture, and more. Some opted to stick with the theme of sleeping, referencing Sleeping Beauty and Snow White (Alfreðsson was even wearing a shirt with the Disney movie’s Grumpy character on it), while others decided to put him in all kinds of weird places.

“Draw me like one of your French girls.”

As for Alfreðsson, he’s taking the whole thing in stride. Currently traveling for business in Berlin, he’s letting his brother back home in Iceland handle the sudden Internet fame. “It’ll probably be over by the time I get back,” he says. “I haven’t thought about what I will do with my fame. I don’t know what I would use it for. I am in a band which nobody has ever heard of, so maybe I’ll promote that.”

Alfreðsson says that he took his nap during lunch, and that he was in no way reprimanded for sleeping at work. He describes Brandenburg as a fun, creative company. Based on this, we can see why.

Find more images on Brandenburg’s Facebook page. Hey, and while you’re at it, check out Alfreðsson’s band on Soundcloud.

These Kids Know That When Life Gets Tough, It's Best To Just Take A Nap

Studies show that people tend to feel worn out in the late afternoon, and that can be a huge problem if you work in an office where naps aren’t allowed…which is essentially every office ever.

Luckily, these kids don’t have to worry about that dreaded 2:30 feeling. They can just nap whenever and wherever they want. I’d venture to say that we’re all pretty jealous.

1. This can’t be comfortable.

26. A nap for the outdoorsy type.

27. Yeah, I’ll be your pillow. It’s fine.

28. There’s some serious bonding happening here.

29. Flexible napping.

30. You couldn’t just finish the corn dog?

If only I could find a way to nap in my office. I’ll figure it out one day. Until then, I’ll just live vicariously through these kids.
