When A Potentially Deadly Cutie Appeared On Their Lawn, They Didin't Hesitate To Help

Only in Canada can you a) find a wild bear roaming on your lawn and b) a man willing to leash him.

When this furry little guy wandered onto their lawn, this family leaped into action to keep him calm and subdued until help could come guide him back to the wilderness.

How? Well, we’re glad you asked…

How do you keep a big bear occupied and out of trouble before wildlife rescue comes to help?

Perhaps a belly rub?

A little treat while you slip on a collar?

Either appears to work!

Perhaps even a little TOO well.

Okay, this is getting ridiculous.

*Nom nom nom*

In the U.S., we’re taught to run away from these fluffy cuties. But I guess in Canada, they’re taught to speak bear well enough to have them eating from the palms of their hands!

After She Sprayed This Bear With Mace, She Got A Dose Of Instant Karma

There’s a reason why people say “don’t poke the bear” when it comes to provoking people who are already upset. When bears feel attacked, they will do anything to protect themselves and their cubs. They’re powerful creatures, so encountering them in the wild isn’t exactly ideal.

In order to fend off a bear one day, this woman sprayed it with mace. While it did ultimately get the creature to back down, something strange happened when the bear decided to get revenge.

You know what? After hearing her scream at it like that, I don’t really feel bad for her. You’re on the bear’s turf, lady! Just be thankful that it’s only after your kayak.

He Heard A Loud Noise, But Instead Of Grabbing A Gun, He Did Something Better

People living in the Siberian wilderness never know who or what they might encounter in the wild. This was especially true for one oil worker in Siberia, who quickly realized that the noises coming from outside his workplace were being caused by a giant, hungry bear. The starving creature wasn’t met with hostility, however. Instead, what the worker and bear both discovered was something so heartwarming, we couldn’t help but laugh with delight!

Either Winnie the Pooh loves the company of this oil worker, or he has a special place in his stomach for oranges. Judging by the way he’s chowing down, we’re guessing it’s the latter!

This Bear Overdid It At Lunchtime And Passed Out In The Best Food Coma Ever

We’ve all been there: when we have far too much at lunchtime and there is absolutely no solution except to sleep it off. Walking it off is not an option, working through it is virtually unthinkable…sleep is the only valid course of action. Chinese buffets and free lunch day at work are all big enablers of this habit, but when this black bear found and ate a 20-pound bag of dog food, he felt this pain…

And it’s pretty adorable.

Much foods. Very yum. So sleepy.

Maybe next time he’ll learn to pace himself a little when he steals over a month’s worth of puppy chow!

Bears are adorable…so here are a few more!

The Fluffy-Coat Shar-Pei Is A Thing, And It's The Most Adorable Bear-Pup Ever

There are a lot of incredibly adorable dog breeds out there. From the corgi to the shiba inu and all the way to the great dane…there truly is a pup out there for every kind of person. While you might think you’ve seen ’em all, there’s one breed you might not have heard of before, and it’s unbearably adorable.

13. Dress-up time is the best time.

14. Time to go shopping! Who wants a new chew toy?

15. I don’t know if she’s winking or if her tiny rolls are just making this cuteness happen!

16. How could anyone say no to a face like this?

17. Just enjoying a nice snack!

18. Will you LOOK at those PAWS.

This adorable breed will have me happily confused for all eternity, and Tonkey will forever remain in my heart as the most adorable conundrum I’ve ever laid eyes on.

Brave Rafting Instructors Used Their Skills To Rescue An Unexpected Friend

Using their skills, a group of rafting instructors made an amazing rescue last Thursday, saving someone stranded on the bank of the Nolichucky River in Tennessee. It was a daring mission, and the saved party couldn’t be happier.

Who needed saving? A bear cub! You can see her here in the raft.

Rafters had seen the baby for a few days prior to her rescue, noting that she looked hungry and alone. The owner of USA Raft Company, Matt Moses, said that there was no sign of a mother bear. When rafting guide Danny Allen approached, she was eager to climb into his boat.

The 14-pound American black bear was brought to Appalachian Bear Rescue, an organization that cares for orphaned cubs.

She was malnourished and dehydrated.

Dubbed Noli Bear, the cub got a full medical examination and is currently staying at the rescue center.

For now, Noli Bear will eat delicious meals of yogurt, grapes, and puppy chow, which will help her put on the weight she needs.

According to the rescue group, she has a very healthy appetite.

Noli Bear will live at the center for a few months while she recuperates.

The Appalachian Bear Rescue “hope[s] that this publicity…will encourage people to learn more about black bears.”

“We fight centuries of myth and misconception regarding these wonderful animals,” the organization said.

After all, how could you be scared of this snuggly girl?!

(via BuzzFeed, Knoxville News Sentinel)

Once she’s healthy enough, Noli Bear, whose name comes from the river where she was found, will be released back into the wild. But first, she needs to grow to be about 50 pounds, which the rescue group says will take several months. For now, she and her healthy appetite will be calling the Appalachian Bear Rescue home.

This Lucky Woman Has The Best, Cuddliest Job Ever...Hint: It Involves Pandas

When you were little, you probably had a dream job. Maybe it was to be a fireman, or a nurse, a teacher, an astronaut — maybe even a monster truck driver. Your parents told you that you could be anything in the whole, wide world…and Grave Digger seemed pretty cool to you.

But I bet if you’d known that this woman’s job was an option, you might have reconsidered those high aspirations of yours…

I’m not sure if her formal title is Baby Panda Snuggler…

Baby Panda Wrangler.

Either way, I am so, so, sososo jealous.

Listen to those squeaks!

So if there’s a vacancy for “Panda Hugger”, I want to apply!! Liz

These Dangerous Animals Were Caught In The Act...Of Being Absolutely Adorable

Nature is beautiful, but it can also be quite terrifying. Most of the time, it’s best to leave wild animals alone in their habitats, giving them plenty of personal space, lest you end up in the emergency room. But on rare occasions, dangerous wildlife can be caught showing their more precious sides. Those predators you’ve been warned to stay far, far away from all of a sudden become incredibly adorable…

1. “Do I get a treat now?!”

2. This little polar bear is ready for a nap.

3. He doesn’t even have any TEETH.

4. These baby bears are clearly menaces to society…

5. I wonder what’s in that big tummy of hers…

6. This kitten better watch out, he might get more cuddles!

7. A ferocious bucket cheetah. Look. Out.

8. A real-life bear hug!

9. “Your kisses won’t clean me! It doesn’t work that way!”

10. Just because it’s his birthday doesn’t mean I’ll leave him alone with my pet hamster.

11. I fear for this man’s life.

12. Sorry, are you real?

13. Such a jokester!

14. Careful, he could be a vampire!

15. Okay, but how does he carry all the Easter eggs?

16. He’d never charge at your car…too cute.

17. I refuse to believe this babe would ever hurt me.

18. “Alright, Teddy, that’s enough.”

20. Alligators can like neck scratches, too!

21. This baby coyote was so cute she got to meet Conan.

22. Sweet dreams!

23. I see that little smirk, you feathered cutie.

24. When he grows up, he’ll bite your arm off, but right now he’s cute!

25. A vicious (lick) attack!

26. “I will eat you up!”

(via The Chive)

They’re all just a little too cute…gives me a sneaking suspicion that they’ll return to their wild tendencies soon!

Remember it’s best to leave these guys alone, unless you’re in a controlled environment.
