Many people use glasses or contact lenses to correct their vision. Since only a small portion of the world has perfect vision, wearing glasses has since become just another common fashion accessory in our world, not unlike wearing a watch or a necklace.
Some vision impaired people, however, wish they never had to put them on in the first place. They see it as a hassle to always have their glasses on, and putting contacts in every day can take a lot of getting used to.
Still, it’s all worth it in the end to see clearly, which is something this little girl learned rather quickly. Watching her see her parents for the first time is quite a sight to behold, as she perfectly captures the struggle of wearing glasses for the first time.
At first, you are resistant to the change, like most people. You might think glasses are for nerds, and you aren’t a nerd. Then, you grow kind of tired of having to squint to see things.
So you put the glasses on and…oh my goodness! I can see clearly! This is making me smile.
You take a look at the world around you, and everything is suddenly clear. You can see everything in great detail for the very first time, and it is amazing.

Wait until that girl sees the hardships and joys of putting in contacts for the first time. “Touch your eyeball?! Gross! But I guess if I don’t want to wear glasses anymore, I have to, so here we go…”
