Tusen författare till Stockholm

Om ett år arrangeras den internationella träffen Waltic - The value of words i Stockholm. För att vara exakt, 2008-06-29 till 2008-07-02. Waltic betyder "Writers' and Literary Translators' International Congress" och man förväntar sig ett tusental deltagare.

Ett program kommer att presenteras i september. Just nu presenterar man det övergripande temat "Intercultural dialogues" som delas upp i tre underteman: "Leaving Terra Sonâmbula - Literacy and the Importance of the Mother Tongue", "Season of Migration - The Intercultural Journey towards a New Literary Canon" och "We’re Living in a Digital World - Copyright and Freedom of Expression: New Forms, New Possibilities, New Challenges". Speciellt det sista tycker jag låter intressant.
