Cute Felt Tags by Tina

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with a collection of colorful ‘felt tag cards’. I couldn’t resist the cute critters from the Pretty Pink Posh Love Balloons set! This year I really want to try and use more products from my stash. I have a whole box with felt so instead of using the balloons from the set I created some die cut felt embellishments (flowers and bows) and I backed the tags with a layer of felt. Let’s get started with stamping the cute critters from the set onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the coloring I used my trusty Copic markers. Copics used Rabbit         T1, T3, T5, R20 Beaver        E41, E43, E44, E47, E49, R20 Skunk        T1, T3, T5, T7, R20 Squirrel    E41, E43, E44, E47, R20 Next, I die cut the tag from the Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Circles Coordinating dies four times. I glued these tags to pieces of felt in bright colors. For the flowers and the bows I used small dies from my stash that come in several sets like the flowers in this one

Merry Christmas Card by Sara Zoppi

Hi BRI friends, Merry Christmas everyone! Sara here! Today it’s my turn on the BRI blog and I’m here to show my inspiration for the December BRI Mood Board. This is a perfect palette for Winter cards, I really love those cold colors mixed with silver. But since today it’s THAT day, the most important of the Holiday Season, I wanted to create a Christmas card. And this is my inspiration! I must admit I recently saw a bokeh patterned paper that was my inspiration for this card. So I couldn’t resist to create my own version, using the colors of the Mood Board. I used blending brushes and Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Tumbled Glass, Pine Needles and Shabby Shutters. I applied a layer of colors, with a really soft hand.    I then used some nesting dies to create circles with masking paper and I applied a few, added another layer of color (image 1) and then I added other circles (image 2: some of them overlap). I repeated the process until I was happy with the effec

Season's Greetings Card by Sara Zoppi

Hi BRI friends, Sara here! I am back with a new card, inspired by the November BRI Mood Board Challenge . This is a perfect palette for Fall cards and I really love those colors. But, since I am in a more “Christmas mood”, I challenged myself to create something different and use this color combo for a Christmas card…and this is the result!  I love those “Caroling Critters” from Pretty Pink Posh , they are so sweet! I stamped them on a piece of Lawn Fawn Fog cardstock , it’s a light cold grey perfect for my background and then I colored everything with copics. I also hand drew the street lamp on the right, I wanted a cozy scene. Since it is a light colored cardstock, the copic colors are really similar to “reality”, but in this way I didn’t have to add the sky. I only used a darker grey at the bottom, to create the contrast for the bushes. I used a white UNI POSCA pen to create the snow ground and I also added some white snow in the sky. The small snowflakes comes from the Pretty Pin

Trick or Treat Card by Sara Zoppi

Hi BRI friends, Sara here! I am back with a new card, inspired by the October BRI Mood Board Challenge . This is the perfect Spooky palette that you can use for all your Halloween creations! We really don’t have a great Halloween celebration here in Italy, so I don’t have a lot of Halloween stamps or dies (even if I love them!). So I went through my crafty stash and I tried to look for a way to stretch them….and this is the result! I had the idea to mask those two little bears from Pretty Pink Posh Bear Friends stamp set and transform them into a trick or treat guys! I firstly stamped them on a piece of copic friendly paper, using Memento Tuxedo black ink for the bigger one and Memento London Fog for the smallest. In this way, I reached the faded look of the ghost. I also drew all the accessories (hat, coat and ghost’s sheet) with a black fineliner . I also stamped all the pumpkins – which comes from the PPP Pumpkin Patch Critters stamp set - and the two bats of the background. I

Fall Friendship Card b y Sara Zoppi

Hi BRI friends, Sara here! I am back with a new card, inspired by the September BRI Mood Board Challenge . This color palette is incredible and it is perfect for fall cards. I love the warm tones, I love all of them together! And this is my inspiration! I’ve recently bought some Pretty Pink Posh stamps and dies and this was the perfect occasion to use them. I look in my stash and I found this Pumpkin Patch Critters stamp set : I instantly thought to use the palette to color all the pumpkins. I stamped all of the images on a piece of copic friendly paper using Memento TuxedoBlack ink . The little fox belongs to the Winter Woodland stamp set while the greenery is from the AutumnWreath one . I colored everything with copic and at the end I fussy cut all of them since I hadn’t coordinating dies. I then started working on the background. On a piece of watercolor paper , I ink blended Distress Oxides in W

Friends Forever Card by Sara

Hi BRI friends, Sara here! I am back with a new card, inspired by the August BRI Mood Board Challenge.   As always, I am blown away by Amanda’s color palette, it is really really gorgeous. And this is my inspiration!    When I first saw the palette, I loved so much the combination but I couldn’t figure out how to use it. It is really particular, it has almost cold colors, so I knew I wouldn’t have used any brown critter. And then, showing the palette to my boyfriend, he said: northern lights! And he was totally right! I recently purchased those Penguin Pals from Pretty Pink Posh and they were just the perfect match to the background I had in mind.   Believe or not, I did my background using only 5 Distress Ink colors: Dusty Concord, Seedless Preserves, Tumbled Glass, Shabby Sutters and Black Soot. I used Regular Distress Reinkers , but you could also use Distress Oxides ones (you will probably get a chalky and lighter result). I did some wet on wet technique onto some watercolor pap

You've Been On My Mind

Hello there! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a card I created for my Grandma's birthday! I was inspired by the March Mood Board ! Love these colors, and these images are just so FUN! For my card, I used the cutest floral images from Avery Elle : Sending Hugs and Sending Flowers ! And let me tell you, it was a struggle not to use those cute critters!! But I stuck solely with the flowers and I really like how pretty it came out! I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them all out! I popped some of the flowers up with foam tape , to add dimension!   I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some vellum ! Then I die cut the vellum strip with the Fancy Wavy Banners Die from Lawn Fawn! I sprinkled some warm yellow sequins around the envelope too! And I can't forget, for the background, I used a strip of the super awesome Dotted Washi Tape from Altenew ! Hope you play along with the BRI Mood

Thinking of You Fall Slimline Card

Hello crafty friends! Tina here with a Fall themed slimline card featuring the adorable Pretty Pink Posh Pumpkin Patch Critters stamps .  I stamped, embossed and colored these cuties using Copic markers. I especially adore how the little critters are peeking around the pumpkins. I used the Mama Elephant Slim Card Basics for the layers. Using Distress inks I blended the background using Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade.  To create the grass I used the My Favorite Things Grassy Hills die and ink blended with greens. The sentiments are from the My Favorite Things Woodland Friends stamps. I stamped and embossed them and added some sequins to embellish.  I had fun creating this card and I hope you like it!! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day :)

I'm Here for You, Friend!

Hello! Samantha here, and today I have a sweet, supportive card to share! We could all use some extra love and kindness right now (and always!), so I thought this card would be perfect! I used a bunch of different products to make it, so let's get down to business! I just love it! I started by coloring these ADORABLE images from Waffle Flower using the Be Him Stamp Set ! I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color them in, and then fussy cut the out! I popped up the boss with foam tape ! For the background, I used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade to ink blend. Then I used the SAME colors over the Big Hearts Polka Stencil from Create a Smile Stamps ! love that subtle little look!! and those hearts are just the best! I heat embossed the sentiment onto vellum , using black embossing powder , from the Avery Elle Speech Bubbles stamp set ! Then I finished off the card with some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling

Sunshine & Rainbows!

Well hello there! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a card that makes me happy! So hopefully it makes you happy, too! lol I used a combination of Paper Smooches stamps for my card: Loving it! Ha! I started by stamping my images and then coloring them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! that addable sun and some of the clouds are from the Sunnyville Stamp Set  and the rainbow and other clouds are from the Sepctrum Stamp Set! These work so well together!  Once they were all dry, I fussy cut them out and added foam tape behind the sun for dimension! I also added some Glossy Accents to the glasses, because all glasses need glossy accents! ha!! Its the perfect amount of shine! For the background, I used a dry brush and some Black Gesso , it's amazing!! That Gesso goes on so smooth and the texture once it is dry is so lovely! I am in LOVE and want buckets of it! ha! I finished the card off with some Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh , and h

It's the Great PINK Pumpkin!

Happy Sunday crafty friends, Ashley D. here!  So excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog today and share with you this fun modern fall card with inspiration taken from the new October BRI Mood Board and Sketch challenge.  I’m just loving all these somewhat non-traditional fall colors!   I was totally drawn to those super cool pink pumpkins, and the lovely dark greens and aqua!  For this card, I began by blending Distress Oxide Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick inks onto two pieces of Bristol Smooth Cardstock.  I die cut one with the new Lawn Fawn Stitched Pumpkin Frame die, and the other with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Pumpkin die.   I then splattered both pumpkins with a bit of Light Gold watercolor paint from the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors palette.  For the background, I adhered a piece of Lawn Fawn Let’s Polka In the Meadow - Dew Drop Line Dance paper to a white card base, framed with a white scallop rectangle using the Lawn Fawn St

MFT Stamps - Little Buddies

Happy Tuesday crafty friends! Danielle here up on the BRI blog with a fun card featuring some old and some new dies and stamps from My Favorite Things! I simply adore the way this card turned out especially because it reminds me of my son Noah and our kitty Molly. I started off using one of the images from the stamp set Little Buddies and stamped directly onto my cardstock.  I then stamped the same image, this time on some Gina K Masking Magic paper and fussy cut around the image.  This is because I wanted the little boy to appear to be sitting on the grass with the hills and trees behind him.  Once I applied my masked image,  I used the new Scene Builder and stamped my grass with flowers and the hills with trees.  Once all my images were stamped I removed the masking paper to reveal the adorable scene.  I always love seeing the whole image once everything is stamped!  It's such a fun technique and can be used with any stamps you may have!  I colored the boy and grassy h

Hello Spring - Pretty Pink Posh

Happy Tuesday crafty friends! Danielle here up on the BRI blog today with a fun CAS card featuring Pretty Pink Posh.  This is a super fun and easy card to make and can be given to that special someone for any occasion. I started off ink blending a panel using Distress Ink Oxides in Mowed Lawn , Squeezed Lemonade , Spun Sugar , Shaded Lilac , and Tumbled Glass .  I then spritz with some water to give it some texture. Once dried, I used the Pretty Pink Posh Spring Frame and ran through my die cutting machine.  I simply love this frame!! It creates such a pretty floral border in one easy pass.  I set my ink blended cut panel aside as I will use this as my "top" layer.  I ran the same spring frame die through my die cutting machine 3 more times.  Once using a rose gold mirrored card stock and 2 more times using adhesive backed foam sheets . These are great because they already have adhesive on one side so I just peeled and layered my 2 die cut foam sheets on top of each

Spring Wreath

Happy Tuesday fellow crafters! Danielle here on the BRI Blog with a fun new card featuring the new Pretty Pink Posh Spring Wreath and it definitely has me feeling that spring is in the air!! I wanted to keep this card simple and vibrant, so to have the main focus on the beautiful wreath! I started off with a white card base, followed by a vibrant pink piece of card stock that adhered directly onto my card base using altenew permanent tape adhesive .  I stamped the Spring Wreath using Gina K amalgam premium black ink on water color paper.  I love this ink because it leaves a crisp, solid impression and can be used with many different mediums.  I colored the dainty floral wreath using Zig Kuretake markers.  With just a little water these markers give you the watercolor paint effect.  Using the coordinating spring wreath die , I ran it through my die cutting machine.  I also used the same coordinating die and ran it through again with the pink cardstock that I used for my previou
