Birthday Shadow Box Card

Happy Wednesday, BRI friends! Today, I have a box card featuring lots of MFT products to share with you. I love making box card and shared two box cards in previous DT posts, but I made box card template by myself for today's one. Here is what I came up with. To start, I began by creating two box card templates. I trimmed down kraft paper by 4 1/4" x 6 3/4" and scored it at 5 1/2" and 6 1/2" as shown in the picture. For the front, I stamped MFT Whimsical Woodgrain Background Stamp onto one of the templates with MFT Milk Chocolate Dye Ink using masking technique. I die cut it with MFT Die-namics Linked Chain Oval Frames. I then ink blended back of the chain with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink using Mini Blending Tool. To complete the front, I taped chain frame as shown using paper tape which is similar to 3M Mircopore Tape. I didn't want add an acetate sheet to the back of chain and used paper tape and really love the result!

Hello Mom!

Hi friends - I am SO excited to be a part of the Butterfly Reflections design team, so very excited! My boss requested a mother's day card, I said "what colors are you thinking"; he stared at me blankly for a solid minute and said "she wears black, that's all she wears"; well me too buddy, so we can do this! ;) I made sure the background had some fun black (actually light AND dark gray) going on using a stencil and added lots of color and dimension to the gorgeous flowers from Concord and 9th, Hello Lovely  set. The image was embossed twice, once on Ranger water color paper and once on Copic card stock for the pieces cut to add dimension. The image was colored with Tombow makers and a water brush . I splashed on lots of color from various inks watered down slightly. Fun, messy and colorful - I used a WPlus9 set for the inside and some washi tape to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by; have a GREAT hump day! Hugs, WHAT'S I

Monster Love

Happy Friday everyone! Gladys here and I'm back with another card for you today. I used the  Monster Love stamp set from My Favorite Things which I intended to make as a Halloween card but turned into a bright and colorful all occasion card. So this is what my card look like: For my background I distressed it with picked raspberry , cracked pistachio , squeezed lemonade and abandoned coral . The stamp set comes with 5 cute little monster that stamps solid images. I stamped all of them with various MFT inks using the MISTI tool and cut them with the coordinating dies . I loved the sentiments from this stamp set because you can use it for different occasions. I centered the sentiment then heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I then positioned all the monsters around the sentiment and adhered them using Tombow mono liquid glue . To complete my card panel I added a scallop frame border. That is all from me today. I enjoyed making this fun and colorful card. I hop

Absolutely Unforgettable

Good morning!  Heather  here from  Houses Built of Cards ! First of all, I wanted to take a few minutes in honor of Memorial Day today, to say thank you to all those who have fought and died - and served and sacrificed so much for this country. I for one am so grateful for all you have done! {image credit} And speaking of remembering...please, someone tell me that I'm not the only one to forget birthdays? Sometimes they slide right past - and I feel so bad, because I absolutely LOVE the person who's birthday I forgot, but somehow still managed to miss it in the busyness of life! So...obviously, I LOVE this sweet sentiment from Wplus9's Unforgettable Stamp Set  - especially when paired with the adorable elephants in the same set! I just received a brand new set of the Zig Clean Color Brush Tip pens, and couldn't WAIT to try them out! Keep an eye on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Store, because I think there is a good chance Vanessa might begin carrying
