The Tree Isn't the Only Thing Getting Lit!

Hey friends!!  I'm so excited to be back this week with another card!  With Christmas being so close, I thought I might do another Christmas card!  Miss Ink Stamps has some of the funniest sentiments in their stamp sets!  This one has to be one of my favs!   This stamp set is called Blitzened and it makes me laugh every time!  This card was amazingly easy to make, but I know the receiver will love it like I spent hours on it! I stamped the images from the Blitzened Stamp Set and then colored them with Copic markers. Next, I cut a stitched scalloped border around the image and then used 3D foam strips to adhere it to my card base! Easy peasy, but oh so fun!

Happy Ho-Ho-Holidays!

Hi Everyone!  Today I'm sharing this fun holiday card using some stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn, which can all be purchased at Butterfly Reflections Ink !  Santa is flying though a snowy sky lead by Rudolph the red-nose-reindeer!   I used vellum to soften the background which allows the images in the front of the card to really "pop."  Below is a list of supplies I used to create this fun scene. Stitched mountain borders Stitched rectangle frames Stitched cloud borders Ho-Ho-Holidays stamp and die sets Vellum Nuvo Crystal drops red berry White card stock White gel pen Window plastic Blending brushes Distress oxides: victorian velvet , dusty concord , milled lavender , shaded lilac Foam squares Mini Misti To start, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to an A2 size.  The stitched mountain and stitched cloud borders were die cut from a piece of plastic.  Then, using the "stencils" I created, I ink blended the following distress ox...

Bring on the Merry!

Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm sharing this festive holiday card using stamps and dies from Hello Bluebird !  I love creating little scenes and these stamp and die sets from Hello Bluebird are so versatile.  You can easily mix and match old and new sets to create new scenes.   To start, an A2 size piece of Bristol smooth cardstock was cut using the snowy sky scene die .  Then using all that jazz and aquatini inks , I ink blended the top panel with a blender brush .  Then using the aquatini ink, I lightly ink blended the top section of the remaining two panels to suggest shadows.  Then the top panel was glued to an A2 size of heavy weight cardstock.   The two other panels were foam mounted to the panel.   White glaze pen was added to the edges to suggest ice/snow.   Images from North Pole littles were stamped using black ink and colored using copic markers.  White gel pen was used to add accents.  The images were...

Sweet Christmas!

Hi Everyone!  Can you believe November is already here?  The holidays will be here soon, and before you know it, we will be in the new year!  I'm going to be sharing some holiday cards with you all this month and in the month of December. Today, I have a colorful holiday card featuring an adorable gingerbread family.  I also added some fun details to make the card extra special! To start, using a standard A2 card base cut from Bristol smooth cardstock, I ink blended the following  distress oxide colors (top to bottom): mermaid lagoon and seedless preserves . On the side I mixed Liquitex gloss super heavy gel and white acrylic paint to create a thick white paste.  I applied the paste to the bottom of the ink blended card base using a spatula and let it dry overnight.  I love how the paste looks like frosting when dry! Then using a separate piece of white cardstock, I cut out the border using fancy scalloped rectangle stackables and adhered...
