Heart and Soul

Hello, BRI fans!  Toni here today celebrating spring and all growing things. I am so glad spring is finally here and I can start to enjoy outdoor time again! For this card, I started by diecutting the Lawn Fawn Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Backdrop out of a luscious chartreuse green color. I used Ranger Multi Medium Matte to adhere it to the card base.                        I next stamped the Pinkfresh Studio Heart and Soul image onto watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black . I colored this up using Zig markers. A really quick color too! Finally I stamped the sentiment using Versamark and embossed it in white. It's mounted on Scotch Foam Tape . For a full list of ingredients and to check out my other creations, visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft .  I'll see you next week!

Hello Sweet Girl

Hello everyone, Coralynn here and I'm so glad to be back again on the BRI blog today with you all.  I have a friend that is having a baby girl soon and her colours are pink and grey so this is the card I created. I started out with the Lawn Fawn of course and the Winter Alpaca stamp set. I stamped the Alpaca and the little heart in grey ink to create the background.  I then took my copics and did a bit of no line colouring to just the scarf. I coloured another Alpaca with warm grey copics and the same colours for the scarf as the background and added some shimmer.  Everyone needs a little shimmer in there life.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Hello Baby set with Versamark ink and heat embossed with with Hero Arts white embossing powder on to black card stock.  I then glued it to the card base and popped up the Alpaca die cut with foam tape. I added a bit of shimmer to the little hearts too and called this card done.  Be sure to stop b...

Boss Babe

Hello and welcome to Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 and I'm glad you're here. Today is my last post (insert sad face here) as part of the Butterfly Reflections Ink Design Team.  I have had such a wonderful time as part of this fabulously talented Design Team and hate to see it end. I couldn't let my term end without a card for the wonderful lady behind the scenes.  Vanessa, you have been awesome and I appreciate all you do!  From your lightning fast shipping to your kind-hearted generosity, you're the best.... This bright, happy card was so much fun to make! I started with a white background cut from the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Dies by My Favorite Things.  I inked up my background with some Salty Ocean Distress Ink and the Cloud Stencil from MFT.  After inking up the clouds, I cut a window in my background with the My Favorite Things die, Square Peek-a-Boo Window . Next, I stamped and colored a few of thes...

Celebrate

Hi there and welcome to Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 with a sweet birthday card to share with you today: I'm loving the bright, happy colors on this fun card! I created the "Celebrate" background with the fabulous Celebrate Speech Bubble Die from My Favorite Things. Before die cutting the bubble, I inked up some white card stock with Distress Inks in the following colors:  Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade. While my inked up panel was drying, I colored these cute little guys from the My Favorite Things stamp set, Furever Friends.   I added birthday hats and the bow tie from the MFT stamp sets, Happy Hippos and Beary Special Birthday. I popped up my fun little birthday buddies on the front of my card with a bit of Scotch Foam Tape. And, as a finishing touch, I adhered a few sequins from the Pink Lemonade Mix by Neat & Tangled with some Ranger Multi Medium Matte. Thank you for ...

Friends Like You Are Rare

Hello and welcome to Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 here to share a sparkly shaker card with you... I absolutely love this stamp set from Neat and Tangled!  It's called You're A Gem and there is a coordinating  die set available which always makes creating your project a little easier and faster. After coloring and die cutting these fun gems, I gave them all a bit of shimmer with a Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker.   I love all the sparkle! After creating the shaker portion of my card, I added lots of fun colored sequins.  I used several sequin mixes from Neat and Tangled including:  Pixie Dust , Peacock Feather and Mermaid Tail. To add a little more dimension, I used Scotch Foam Mounting Tape to add my sparkly gems to my card base.   This was such a fun card to put together.  Thanks so much for letting me share it with you today!  Have a great day and I'll see you soon.

Believe In Your Dreams

Hi there!   This is Tanya from Studio 5380 sharing a sparkly shaker card with you today...     These beautiful flowers are from the new Lawn Fawn die set, Pretty Poppies.   I cut the flowers and leaves from white cardstock and inked them up with Distress Oxides in the following colors:  Worn Lipstick , Spiced Marmalade , Peeled Paint and Iced Spruce.   After inking the flowers and leaves, I spritzed them with a bit of water and watched the Distress Oxides do their magic! I really love these inks! This beautiful sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn stamp set, Flutter By.   I stamped my sentiment with  VersaMark Ink and sprinkled on some Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder.   After heat embossing the sentiment, I was ready to assemble my card.    I cut out my black layer 4 times and adhered them together so that my sequins would have space to move freely when shaken.  I filled the shaker area with some ...

You Are Jawsome

Hi there! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 here to share a "jawsome" little gift bag with you today: Isn't this fun? For my project, I started with the Tote Bag Lawn Cuts by Lawn Fawn.  After cutting the bag from kraft paper, I assembled it and inked up the edges with a little Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a Mini Ink Blending Tool . To create my little underwater scene, I cut a panel of white cardstock slightly smaller than the front of my gift bag. I used a Scalloped Rectangle Stackable Lawn Cut die from Lawn Fawn along the top edge of my panel to create waves.  Next, I inked up the panel using Distress Inks in the following colors:  Salty Ocean , Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire.  Now, for the fun part!  I stamped this cute shark and his buddies from the Lawn Fawn Duh-Nuh Stamp Set .  I colored them with my Copics and cut them out with the Duh-Nuh Lawn Cuts .  I adhered them to my panel with a bit of Scotch Foam Tape ...

You're One Smart Cookie!

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday to you! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 and I have a cute graduation card to share with you today.  This fun, shaker card is for my grandson, Brayden, who is about to graduate from Kindergarten.... I used some fun Lawn Fawn products to create this card for my smart little cookie.  The adorable images are from the Smart Cookie Stamp Set .  After stamping and coloring the images, I used the Smart Cookie Lawn Cuts dies to cut them out.  I also used the Scripty Congrats Lawn Cuts die to cut out the word "congrats".  I cut out the sentiment three times and layered them together using some Multi Medium Matte Adhesive . To add a little sparkle, I covered the word "congrats" with some Frosted Lace Stickles .  I also added a bit of Glossy Accents to the glasses on my cute little cookie.  While the Stickles and Glossy Accents were drying, I started working on my shaker frame.  Using the Die-namics S...

A Magical Birthday

Hi there and happy Tuesday to you! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 to share a magical birthday card with you today. My youngest granddaughter, Hannah, is turning 4 years old in a couple of weeks. I love that she loves sparkles, glitter and princesses because it gave me a chance to create a card with the adorable Once Upon A Time stamp set by My Favorite Things: I really love the way this turned out - this stamp set is so much fun to work with. To get started, I cut out my scalloped background panel using the MFT Die-namics Blueprint #27 die set.  Next, I created a shorter panel using the MFT Die-namics Rolling Hills die.  I also used the Rolling Hills die to create a mask so that I could ink up some hills and clouds on my card background: The grassy hills on my card were created with Distress Ink in Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn . To created the look of clouds, I used Distress Ink in Broken China along with the new Cloud Stencil from My Favorite...

Hope Today is Light & Bright

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday to you! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 sharing a bright, happy card with you today: Isn't this little girl adorable? She is from the Mega - Mini Lift Off stamp set by The Greeting Farm.  I colored my images with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating Mega - Mini Lift Off Dies.   Next, I gave my images a bit of sparkle with a Clear Wink of Stella Brush Tip Marker. I wanted my sweet little girl to look like she was being lifted up into the clouds.  So I created an airy background by making cloud masks with the Die-namics Cloud 9 dies by My Favorite Things.  After placing the masks on my background, I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to ink up the panel with Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers. While my background was drying, I created my card base with this fun, colorful plaid paper from the Easter Express Paper Pad by Doodlebug Design. .  I added all the elements to my card with a bit of ...

I Love You Sew Much!

Hello everyone! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 with my first post as part of the Butterfly Reflections Ink Design Team.  I've very excited to a part of this talented Design Team and would like to thank Vanessa for the opportunity to work with her and these amazing designers. So, let me share with you this sweet shaker card I created for today's post: These adorable images are from the  Lawn Fawn "Sewn With Love" stamp set.   I colored my images with Copic markers and cut them out with the  coordinating dies.   I also randomly stamped that sweet little button onto a panel made of white card stock.  I colored the buttons and background with Copic markers.  After coloring all my images, I gave them a bit of sparkle using a clear Wink of Stella Brush Tip Marker.  To create the layers of my card I started with a black card base.  The next layer was created with the  Lawn Fawn "Scalloped Rectangle Stackables" Lawn Cuts....

Popping In - Waffle Flower Crafts

Hello everybody, this is Nicky with you one last time in my 4 month design team role for Butterfly Reflections Ink, it has been such a pleasure and privilege to share my creations with you.  My card today features the adorable Popping In by Waffle Flower Crafts . A panel was die cut and then delicately ink blended using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink  together with my Clarity Stencil Brushes .  I then stamped all the images from Popping In using Ranger Archival Ink .  I then watercolour painted everything using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut and adhered them into position on the ink blended panel using dimensional foam tape in various depths.   The colour scheme of the card is quite clearly to welcome a baby boy, so I just used the Congratulations stamp twice in the corner of the base layer of the card.  I then adhered the panel into position with craft foam sandwiched behind it.  Your cards will survive being mailed so much...

Dogs Stamp Set by Jane's Doodles

Hello this is Nicky back with you today with this simple but slightly time consuming card.  I'll call this my 'virtually' no line watercolour card since I wanted a little definition.  The card uses Dogs Stamp Set by Jane's Doodles . I created a panel of Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock and die cut it using the largest frame die from Die-Namics Blueprint #25 by My Favorite Things .  I stamped my images using Distress Ink in Antique Linen.  I called this my 'virtual' no line watercolour card because I chose to use the 1st generation stamp rather than the 2nd generation stamp that is preferred for true, no line watercolour painting. I wanted to create a casual wallpaper affect (without the repeat) and starting from the top of the card and working my way down I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolour each image.  Sometimes I used the brush directly to make the outline and other defined areas bolder. The card was finished out wit...

The Whole Herd - My Favorite Things

Hello everybody, happy Tuesday to you all and I hope your week is off to a good start!  I don't know about you but I'm very picky about the stamp sets that I invest in and I'm always very careful to only buy the ones I know I can get a lot of mileage out of.   The Whole Herd by My Favorite Things has to be one of my all time favourites! I use the pig and the cows from the set more than anything else, so today's card was me, working on me, to use the other characters more and I'm pleased with the results.  My card started with a white base of 110lb card stock.   Next I used the main die from Blueprints #25 by MFT to provide the full-size panel with the stitched edge.   I ink blended it using Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn and Tumbled Glass, slowly building the colour using my beloved Clarity Stencil Brushes .  I then distressed the scene using some water splashes and splashes of Salty Ocean mixed with water. Next I stamped my animals using Ranger ...
