Koalafied for a hug! with Peter

Hi everyone! It's Peter here. I'm back with another card for you! This time, I used something old and something new from Lawn Fawn. I combined the older I Love You(calyptus) set with it's new sibling, the I Love You(calyptus) Flip-Flop . The two koala's can be combined together so it looks like they are hugging and it's adorable! I used two different stripes for the background. The stripes that are all across the card are made with the new genius Plaid Stencil . You can make perfectly cute plaid patterns with it, but as you can see it's also great for just some striping. I used Distress Oxide in the colors Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron to blend a gradient in the stripes. The panels are both cut with my all-time favorite basic dies; the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables .  With the help of some gold watercolors and some green  foil , I gave it just that little bit extra flair! The smaller striped panel is cut out of a patterned paper from the Really Rainbo...

Loads o' Layers - Stamped Decoupage Cards - VIDEO

Hi Everyone!  It's Jenny here and I'm so excited to be back guesting on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog after what seems like forever!    I have three cards for you today, which all feature a decoupage style technique.  I'll show you how you can cut up your stamped images to create a 3D effect, and I have a video which show you how I created it in more detail which you can find here : My first card uses the  Pinkfresh Studio Lined Floral Background .  I stamped it five times in copic friendly black ink and then fussy cut it out at various sections used my Copics to color it. I colored each layer a different color of the rainbow, using three different shades for each layer.  I also didn't color all of each layer - only the bit I knew would be showing.  To get the edges nice and neat, I used a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to go around the edges of each piece. Once all the pieces were lined, I adhered the main back stamped panel to...

Big Fox Hugs

Happy Saturday! Happy Earth Day!  Today I'm sharing the adorable and SUPER popular stamp set Hug Me by Altenew.  To create my card I stamped and colored the sweet balloon fox image. Next, I fussy cut the image (there are die cuts too!). To create the background I blended Distress Inks  and stamped a few clouds. The frame was created with Scalloped Pierced Dies . It's fun to get creative and use the negative space on dies. It's a trick I use a lot. ;) The card was finished with a few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh . Thanks for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you create!

Bunches of HUGS!

Hi there!  It's Rebekah here today! For this card I used the Misti Stamp Positioner  to aline and stamp the sentiment along the side of  a white card panel that I die cut using the large, stitched rectangle die in the MFT Blueprints 25  . I used the Lots of Hugs Stamp  sentiment stamps also from MFT.  About 2/3 of the way down I used the larger hugs sentiment in the set and colored it with copic markers. For the heart charms, I die cut white paper with the smallest heart in Stitched Heart STAX die set  four times and colored each one with my copics for a perfect color matching to the sentiment. I tied the twine around the spine of the card and added the hearts to the ends of the twine. I added foam on the back of one heart and then attached the twine with  Multi Matte Medium  and then added the other heart. This adds some dimension and helps keep the heart charm safely attached to the twine. MFT has a number of basic sh...
