Bloom and grow card with Annemarijn

Hi crafty friends! How are you today? Today I'm back on the blog using the bloom and grow stamp set from hello bluebird because I really love it. Let me tell you how I made this cute card. I first stamped all images from the bloom and grow stamp set and colored them with my copic sketch markers and cut them. The fox watering plants is my favorite image of this set I mean look at him he's just so cute. Next I colored the background with distress oxide: salvaged patina (my new obsession!!) on the top and speckled egg on the bottom. For the grass I used cracked pistachio and for the tree gathered twigs . The tree I cut from the lift the flap tree backdrop from lawn fawn and for the grass I used the simple grassy hillside . On the background I stamped the sentiment from this set with embossing ink , sprinkled black embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool. I love the sentiment from this stamp set it's a beautiful sentiment I think! Next I adhered everything t

You make life sweeter!

Hi Everyone!  I'm sharing this card using a few colors from the February BRI mood board.  I used Hello Bluebird products which can all be purchased at Butterfly Reflections Ink !   To start, I created the background on a piece of A2 Bristol cardstock and ink blending the following distress oxide ink colors (top to bottom): picked raspberry , worn lipstick and spun sugar .  The panel was then splatted with some water to add fun details to the background.   Gallery frame 2 die was used to cut the border from white cardstock.  The grass was ink blended using distress oxide ink mowed lawn and spattered with a mix of water and distress oxide ink.  The grass was then cut using grassy knoll dies . Images from the bee happy stamp set  and autumn gatherings set were stamped using versafine Clair ink and colored with zig clean color brush pens.  Images were then cut using the coordinating dies .  Sentiment from the autumn gatherings stamp set was stamped to the background

Happy Winter Scene!

Happy Tuesday!  I'm back with another winter scene created using Hello Bluebird stamps and dies which can be purchased at Butterfly Reflections Ink !   For this scene, I used vellum to soften the background.  This is a technique was inspired by  Chris C.  one of the Hello Bluebird designers.  I just had to try it out for myself!  To start, I ink blended the background using distress oxide colors picked raspberry and abandoned coral on an A2 size piece of Bristol cardstock.  Background hills were cut from white cardstock using the hill and dale dies and adhered using liquid glue.  Sentiment from the north star set stamped on vellum using stazon ink in black.  Then, I white heat embossed the snowflakes from the snow play stamp set.  Images from snow play and woodland littles stamped and colored using copic markers.  After the images were cut using the coordinating dies, I adhered them to the card front along with the vellum panel and snow panel using liquid g

Hi Everyone!  I'm sharing a colorful card I created using a few items from the new HelloBlueBird release .  You can find all the new sets at Butterfly Reflections Ink ! To start, I cut a piece of Arches hot press watercolor paper to A2 size.  Then, using distress stains I smooshed the colors on to the watercolor paper using a piece of acetate (you could substitute either distress inks or liquid watercolor to create the same look).  I choose a mix of yellows, pinks, oranges and reds to create this colorful look.  Then using gold ink , I splattered the background.  The panel was left to dry overnight.  Winter Woods Overlay die was cut from white heavy weight cardstock and adhered using liquid glue to the background panel.  The sentiment from first snow stamp set was stamped using VersaMark ink and white heat embossed .  The bunnies from first snow were stamped on a separate piece of Bristol cardstock using Versafine Clair in nocturne .  Then I colored the images using z

Hello BlueBird

Easter Egg Hunt Hi Friends! It is Dana  here today. I hope you all had a good couple of weeks...I had last week off from posting so it is great to be back. Today, I am sharing an Easter card that uses lots of products from  Hello BlueBird . Their Newest Release was definitely one of my favorites for Easter!! I started my card by stamping my images from the  Easter Egg Hunt Stamp Set  with  Memento Tuxedo Black Ink . I colored them with  Copic Sketch Markers  and used the coordinating  Easter Egg Hunt Dies  to cut them out.  Next, I began working on my card panel. I used a lavender woodgrain paper from the  Doodlebug Design Simply Spring 6x6 Paper Pad  for my background. I die cut the  Hello Bluebird Photo Stack Dies  from white cardstock. Then, I ink blended Distress Oxide Ink in  Peacock Feathers  and  Picked Raspberry  onto the inside piece of the photo frame. Next, I die cut a small piece of grass printed paper from the  Doodlebug Design Hoppy Easter 6x6 Paper Pad

Hello Bluebird Halloween and first DT post!

Hello everyone, Amanda here with my very first DT project for Butterfly Reflections, Ink.!  I'm so excited to be joining this talented group of crafters in this last quarter of 2018.  I'm fortunate, as this is my favorite time of year, with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas so close together! Today I'm featuring Hello Bluebird, a brand that I am quite enamored with!  All of the products I've used on this card come from their latest release and can be found in the BRI online store ! I'll link everything along the way! So I started by inking my A2 sized background with Scattered Straw, Weathered Wood and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks, then finished with a little white acrylic paint splatter to create my night sky.  I cut the black zig zag frame out using Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame #3 dies  The hill is by Newton's Nook Designs, Land Border Dies and I inked that up with Tea Dye and Mustard Seed Distress Ink. I then die cut my scene piec
