Sending sunshine

Hello crafty friends, it's Veronica here! Today I have another summer card to share with you! It' a one-layer card and features some cute stamps by Hello Bluebird, that turned out to be my favorites of this summer! To create my card, I first stamped my images in Memento Tuxedo Black on a piece of Transotype paper. I colored everything with my Copic Markers   and tried to draw a beach scene inspired by some beautiful cards by Amy Young.  Then, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and added details with my white gel pen . Finally, I matted my panel twice. Once on a black card stock and once on a white one. Hope you like my card! From Italy with love, Veronica

Hot-air balloon ride with Peter

Hi everyone! I'm happy to be on the blog again to share some inspiration with you all. This time I actually have three cards to share! For the base of the card I used the Gallery Frame #6 die from Hello Bluebird. I choose two patterned papers out of my stash and on another paper I blended a simple cloudy sky with the Cloudy Stencil from Lawn Fawn. I used my favorite Distress Oxide color for that; Tumbled Glass . I used the Gallery Frame on every paper and switched out all the papers so you will get three backgrounds. Fun backgrounds, no waste! The super adorable Flying High stamp set from Hello Bluebird is perfect to decorate every base. The matching dies cut out the balloon beautifully! It can be a bit tricky to match it up with your stamped image, so I would recommend to cut it out of some printer paper and use the negative on your stamped image to align the die. Perfect cut! In the Gallery Frame set are also three different scripty sentiments. I cut those out of black paper

Showers of joy card with Leontine

Hello! Last week I shared a card with the cute ducks from singing in the rain . Today I’m sharing a card with the girl and clouds from that set. This time it’s a one layer card with bright and happy colors. I cut a piece of copic friendly paper to 4¼ by 5,5 inches. I stamped the clouds, the girl and the sentiment with jet black ink , because I colored everything with my Copic Sketch Markers. I used BG0000, BG70, BG72, B00, B02, B04, G12, 0, C0, C1, Y13, Y15, Y17, YR14, YR16, YR18, R20, R22, R24, R27, R29, V01, V04, V06, RV21, RV23, RV25, YG05, YG07, YG09, YG11, YG13, YG17, E000, E00, E13, E21, E51, E53, E55 and E57 to color the images and the entire background. The rainbow is hand drawn. I started making very light pencil marks at the top of the right cloud and then I colored them in. I covered the rainbow with my nuvo aqua shimmer glitter gloss pen and added some raindrops with Glossy Accents to finish it off. Then I added the panel to a card base and it was finished. I hope yo

You make me smile with Leontine

Hello! Normally I make cards with a lot of different stamps and cuts, but today I’m sharing a card that just needs a few things. First of all I used the singing in the rain stamps from Hello Bluebird for the cute little ducks. The giant ‘smile’ is from make me smile and ‘you make me’ is from the pig out stamp set. And that’s pretty much it! I cut a piece of copic friendly paper to 4¼ by 5,5 inches. I used Y00, RV10, YG17, YR00, B0000, B000, BG70, E40, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49, E51, G03, G05, G07, G14, G19, G21, G28 to color the entire background. I started with the sky and worked my way down to the grass. With a white gel pen I added some shimmery accents in the water. Basically some dots and crosses. With a nuvo aqua shimmer glitter gloss pen I made a shimmery reflection in the water of the word smile. You can’t really see it in the pictures, but the letters are there. I stamped the duck images on some copic friendly paper with jet black ink . I colored them in with my copic

Finally seaside!

Hello my dear friends, it's Veronica here! I'm finally on holiday, so I prepared a proper card for the occasion. This card feature some adorable critters by Hello Bluebird, Copic colored as always. To create the background I blended a bunch of Distress Oxide Inks on a piece of Neenah Solar White Paper: Antique Linen and Tea Dye for the sand, Peacock Feathers , Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch for the sea and Squeezed Lemonade , Carved Pumpkin and Festive Berries for the sky. I die cut the rectangular panel with a slimline die by Mama Elephant. To finish off my card I stuck the critters on the background with some foam and added a sentiment from the same stamp set. I finally matted my panel twice: onto a white and a blue piece of card stock.

Message in the sky with Peter

Hi everyone! I'm back to show you a fun and simple thank you card. I wanted to make a really simple and fun card. I looked through my dies and came across the Partly Cloudy Die from Hello Bluebird. I decided on only using the clouds that the die cuts. I took my Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables set to cut the largest rectangle out of watercolor paper. With the Cloudy Stencil from Lawn Fawn I made a cloudy background with Distress Oxide . I used Tumbled Glass as a base and I used Salvaged Patina to make the actual clouds. With that is was time to adhere the clouds in place. I first did the ones that have a cut off side and I but them around the place they are in in the die. Out of green cardstock I cut the Scripty Thanks from Lawn Fawn and with Distress Oxide Rustic Wilderness I added a little color on the bottom so it becomes a gradient. I used the Plane and Simple stamp set from Lawn Fawn to add a cute plane on the bottom with an additional sentiment in the banner: '

Fairy wishes

Hello crafty friends! It's Veronica here and today I have a very magical card to share with you. It's not a very structured card: I only needed some cute fairies from the Fairy Dance Stamp Set by Hello Bluebird and my Copic Ciao Marker . I added details with a simple white gel pen and stamped my sentiment with Versamark Ink to emboss it with white embossing powder. Finally, to assemble my card I chose white and fuchsia card stocks. I really hope you like my card and can't wait to share with you the next one! From Italy with love, Veronica

Happy jungle!

Hello crafty friends! It's Veronica here and today I'm showing you a new card inspired by the mood board of this month. Yeah, I know, there's not much of coral but I guess it can work anyway and I really hope you will join the challenge too! So here it is my tropical card! I first stamped a bunch of cute jungle critters from Word Buddies Jungle Stamp Set by Hello Bluebird on a piece of Transotype paper, colored everything with my Copic Ciao Markers and then fuzzy cut all the images. I also die cut the beautiful Gallery Frame from a white card stock. To create my background I simply blended some Distress Oxide Inks in Chipped Sapphire , Pine Needles and Squeezed Lemonade , just to stick with the mood board colors. I assembled everything with some foam to give dimension and, to conclude, I glued my panel onto a piece of white card stock. Hope you like my card and see you next week! From Italy with love, Veronica

Happy Belated Birthday Card by Sara

Hi BRI friends, Sara here! I am back with a new card, inspired by the June BRI Mood Board Challenge . When I first saw it, I didn’t know what to do but then…I saw an Hawaiian shirt on a tv programme and I had my inspiration! It had black, blue, coral and yellow leaves, and it was perfect for the BRIMOOD board! LOL So, this is my inspiration! I looked through my crafty stash and this Sunny Studio – Silly Sloths stamp came out: they were perfect for the scene I had in mind. I stamped many of the critters of the set, I only did a bit of masking on the upper left sloth that lies on the other sloth’s back. I also stamped some hibiscus. I then hand drew many different tropical leaves, to set my scene. I started to color the background, with a light yellow: I only wanted a yellow gradient tone on the bottom part. I then colored the sloths and the leaves. As I wanted to respect the BRIMOOD board, I mixed dark blue, teal and yellow. And I love because I also get some green shades, mixing the

Flying High To Say Hello with Leontine

Hello! Today I'm on the blog sharing a card with the super adorable Hello Bluebird set Flying High . I only needed a couple sets to create this card: Flying High and Summer Woods Scene . I stamped all of the images with Jet Black Ink on some Copic friendly paper and colored them with my Copic Sketch Markers: C00, C0, C1, W00, YR00, YR01, YR02, RV21, RV23, RV25, R20, R22, R30, BG10, BG11, BG23, E31, E34, E35, E37, E21, E23, E25, E27. To the eyes I added Black Glaze Pen to make them pop a little more. And you can never go wrong with a little sparkle, so I added Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss pen to a few images. For the background I used Salvaged Patina , Kitsch Flamingo and Dried Marigold distress oxide inks. I sprinkled some water mixed with liquid stardust on top and used a paper towel to pick up the remaining water. Once that panel was dry I used my anti-static powder to prep the surface and I stamped the sentiment with clear ink . I added white embossing powder to

Dream Big!

Hello my long lost friends!  I have been completely MIA from the crafting scene for a long time now. When coronavirus changed our world, I was in the middle of moving and I'm still in a weird limbo there, and trying to do at home learning with 6 kids was no picnic! But, I was so happy for the excuse to devote a few hours to stamping and coloring again.  Here are the stamps and dies used from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink Store: Neat and Tangled Dream Big Stamp and Die Set Hello Bluebird Pathway Background Stamp Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad 3D Foam Squares Copic Sketch Markers I started by stamping the main image from the  Neat and Tangled Dream Big Stamp  set onto my white cardstock, then coloring it with my  Copic  Markers. Then I cut it out with my coordinating dies. Next, I used the  Hello Bluebird Pathway Background Stamp  and stamped it onto my white cardstock that was already cut to A2 size, and I colored it. Next, I added my little goose an

Strawberry Jam Picnic Card with Christy

Hello friends! It's Christy here with a sweet card featuring a friendly picnic in a strawberry patch. Doesn't it look like they're having the best day? I wish I could join them. I used the adorable  Hello Bluebird Strawberry Jam  set and colored my images with Copic Markers , then trimmed them out with the matching dies. For the focal panel, I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames and die cut it out of white cardstock . I set aside the frame and used the center piece to do a simple Copic colored background that even a beginner could do! It really was so easy!  The Carta Bella Summer Market 6x6 pad had this gorgeous strawberry pattern that was just meant to live on this card, so I trimmed that down with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and adhered it to my card base. Then I glued down my colored background and popped the frame up with Scotch 3M foam tape .  I trailed my strawberry vines up the frame then added my

Hello Bluebird-LOVE

Hi my inky-fingered friends! I've been super excited for the chance to use the new BRI Mood Board colors for February, they're so pretty! We moved last week and my life has been total chaos, but I managed to squeeze in a minute of crafty time to create this sweet little Valentine's Day scene. I've had these squirrels in mind for a card like this for quite a while. The little one on the right just looks so sweet and bashful, I love her expression! I love the little additions from a Christmas set from Hello Bluebird Stamps. The gifts and little garland were too cute to pass up.  Here are all the products I used from the  Butterfly Reflections, Ink Shop : Hello Bluebird Fall Banner Buddies Stamp  and  Die set Hello Bluebird O Christmas Tree Stamp and Die set Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Heart Stackables Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Dies Hello Bluebird Charlie Alpha Dies Distress Oxide Ink in Candied Apple , Abandoned Coral and Spun Sugar Memen
