An Egg-stra Special Card by Tina

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with a sweet oval shaped Easter card for you! Today I am using the adorable Taylored Expressions Eggstra Sweet stamp set . I immediately fell in love with the cute images as soon as I saw them!! The base panels were made with an Oval die set . I die cut layers from teal and white Card Stock, as well as one layer from Doodlebug pink polka dot pattern paper .   Next, I stamped the Easter chick and egg from the set onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and did some Copic coloring. Copics used: Red     R05, R46 Teal     BG13, BG49 Yellow     Y00, Y08, Y11, Y19 Pink     RV14, R32, R81, R83, R85  Before assembling the card I used my Misti to stamp a sentiment from the Mama Elephant Eggtastic Stamp Set . I curved the text so it would match the oval shape of the card.   I glued the background panels to a white card base also made with the oval die ...

Put some ZIPPITY in your DOO-DAH DAY!

Hi there, this is Tanya from Studio 5380. How do you add a bit of ZIPPITY to your DOO-DAH DAY?  I don't know about you, but coffee always works for me! So do adorable products from Cas-ual Friday, Lawn Fawn and Doodlebug! I used some fabulous stamps and dies to create this card including the following: Cas-ual Fridays "To Go Cup" Cas-ual Fridays "Cup of Coffee" Cas-ual Fridays "Coffee Talk" The sunflower is from Lawn Fawn's "Happy Harvest" stamp set.  I also used the coordinating die set and gave the center a bit of sparkle with a clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen. I also added a few dots of Aztec Gold Nuvo Glitter Accents to the center of my sunflower. The printed papers and sprinkless are from Doodlebug and I love the pretty fall colors. That's about it for me today. Thanks so much for stopping by - I hope you have a Zippity Doo-Dah Day!

Magical Mini-album..///Doodlebug Designs Fairy Tales Collection

Hi, friends...It's Tuesday, so that means Heathers back to share some creative goodness with you.....I decided to switch things up this week and put together a mini album using Doodlebug Designs Fairy Tales Collection ! We celebrated our daughter's 10th birthday this past month and she insisted on a unicorn party....surprising, huh??  It seems every little girl wants to be surrounded with unicorns these days, but I was happy with it because I love decorating and making pretty sparkly things! This album shares our memories of the party as well as the decorations and food I made...so, yep, this mini album is just as much for me as it is my daughter....   I started with the Fairy Tales 6 x 6 paper pad and trimmed them to varying sizes.  The overall album measures 5" x 6".  I pulled materials from my stash as well to incorporate different textures including vellum, patterned transparencies, washi tape, mesh fabric, ribbons, charms and a few other items. T...

"Me & You" scrapbook layout // Doodlebug Designs Hello Collection

Hi crafty friends! I hope you are having a great week and had time to play with some paper today!  Heather here to share another project with you using the Hello collection from Doodlebug Designs.   After three layouts, I have so much product left for probably another few layouts!  This layout is of my daughter and husband out on a "daddy-daughter date"...so sweet! This layout came together so much quicker than normal , but it was easy when I had all of these adorable speech bubbles from the Hello Collection chit chat package.  I couldn't narrow down the ones I wanted to use because they all had such cute messages...so I add them all! I started with a 12 x 12 piece of black cardstock and started laying down the speech bubbles I wanted to use.. .spacing them out like a puzzle.  I have been reaching for a lot of black cardstock lately because I love the way the bright colors look against the dark background...Once I had them placed ...

"Memories" scrapbook layout ///Doodlebug Designs "Hello" collection

Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! It's Heather and I am so excited to be sharing my first design team project with you! When I saw the Hello collection from Doodlebug , I knew it was just perfect for the photos I had of my mother celebrating her most recent birthday...(no, mom, I won't tell everyone how old you are!) Most of my layouts have only one photo, but I couldn't possibly choose between them...she looks so happy! I decided a grid format was the best way to go which is the easiest way to get incorporate many of the beautiful patterned papers.  Plus, I was able to use one of the large chipboard words from Dear Lizzy  perfectly in between.  I had initially thought I would paint them in some way...but I love the way the white title contrasts with all of the colors! I started with a piece of American crafts white cardstock....And, at this time, Butterfly Reflections Ink does not offer 12x12 papers, but what goes on that piece of...

Brutus Monroe, True Love Luggage...

Hey folks, it's Norine  and I'm back on the blog again today and switching it up from all the flower cards a couple of days back.  Today I'm sharing a couple of cute and simple cards! I stamped the image from the True Love Luggage stamp set by Brutus Monroe  twice, once onto Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock for coloring with the Zig Clean Color markers (the Bon Voyage card), and again onto Neenah Solar White cardstock for coloring with Copics (the "Follow You Anywhere card). I stamped the sentiments using individual alphabet stamps like these ones from Lawn Fawn, called Milo's ABCs .  The Bon Voyage sentiment is stamped with all the alphabets bumped together on the MISTI , but for the "follow" sentiment, I didn't have as much room to fit it all in so I drew a line with a straight edge and a pencil, and stamped each letter individually. The Bon Voyage card is a top-folding A2 size card and when I messed up the stamped sentiment...

Captain of my Heart

Hi there and Happy Fourth of July to you! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 with another fun pirate card to share with you. I seem to be a little obsessed with pirates lately. But, with all the adorable pirate-themed stamp sets released this summer, who can blame me? For today's card, I used the super cute "Party Like a Pirate" stamp set by My Favorite Things : I colored this little cutie with my Copic markers then used the Party Like a Pirate Die-namics to cut out my image.  I also added a little shimmer to his sword and hat with a Clear Wink of Stella Brush Tip Marker .  I created my card base with some fun red, white and blue prints from the Doodlebug 6X6 paper pad, Anchors Aweigh . The circular frame was created with  Stitched Circle Frames Die-namics from My Favorite Things .  I die cut the frame three times and adhered the layers together to add a little dimension to my card.  I used more images and another sweet sentim...

Ok, so I finished the title with the amazing scripty letter stickers from PinkFresh Studio ! LOVE them, so much! Hope Today is Light & Bright

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday to you! This is Tanya from Studio 5380 sharing a bright, happy card with you today: Isn't this little girl adorable? She is from the Mega - Mini Lift Off stamp set by The Greeting Farm.  I colored my images with Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating Mega - Mini Lift Off Dies.   Next, I gave my images a bit of sparkle with a Clear Wink of Stella Brush Tip Marker. I wanted my sweet little girl to look like she was being lifted up into the clouds.  So I created an airy background by making cloud masks with the Die-namics Cloud 9 dies by My Favorite Things.  After placing the masks on my background, I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to ink up the panel with Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers. While my background was drying, I created my card base with this fun, colorful plaid paper from the Easter Express Paper Pad by Doodlebug Design. .  I added all the elements to my card with a bit of ...

Hello Mom!

Hi friends - I am SO excited to be a part of the Butterfly Reflections design team, so very excited! My boss requested a mother's day card, I said "what colors are you thinking"; he stared at me blankly for a solid minute and said "she wears black, that's all she wears"; well me too buddy, so we can do this! ;) I made sure the background had some fun black (actually light AND dark gray) going on using a stencil and added lots of color and dimension to the gorgeous flowers from Concord and 9th, Hello Lovely  set. The image was embossed twice, once on Ranger water color paper and once on Copic card stock for the pieces cut to add dimension. The image was colored with Tombow makers and a water brush . I splashed on lots of color from various inks watered down slightly. Fun, messy and colorful - I used a WPlus9 set for the inside and some washi tape to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by; have a GREAT hump day! Hugs, WHAT'S I...
