Butterfly Reflections, Ink

Hey Crafters! I'm glad to be back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog today with this super fun card that was really easy to pull together. I've probably talked about this before, but I am often amazed (not in a good way) at how bad I am about sending out cards. As a card maker....this doesn't really make sense. But because I end up selling a lot of what I make, sometimes I just forget to create in bulk so that I can have some on hand in my own stash to send to friends and loved ones. One of my biggest fans is my husband. And let's be honest: He is my person. Sometimes I still can't believe how blessed I am to have him in my life. And so I dedicate today's card to him--a guy who never seems to mind receiving rainbow cards from me! Hey Crafters! I'm back after a week off to bring you this classy card! When I saw the Amazing You stamp set from Aletenew, I totally fell in love! And I immediately knew the first thing I wanted to do with these images. I broke out my Zig Clean Color Markers and went to work! I stamped the images on watercolor paper  in Antique Linen distress ink  so that I could do some no-line watercoloring techniques. I wanted to keep the main focus of the card pretty simple so that I could add some unique touches. After finishing the watercoloring, I chose one of the sentiments from the stamp set and heat embossed it in the lower right corner using Liquid Platinum embossing powder and Versamark Ink . I used the  My Favorite Things Wonky Stitch Rectangle Stax Die  to cut my card base and then also cut a kraft cardstock piece to serve as a matte for the top of the card base. Hey folks! I gotta be honest, after seeing all of the AH-mazing things my fellow Butterfly Ink-ers have done this last week, I feel like a total slacker with this card. For real though, all I could think when I saw this Stamp was she simply needed to be colored. Nothing fancy schmancy, end of discussion. Can I seriously just pick her up and hug her? I stamped  Bella and Daisy from Wild Rose Stamps on some Ranger-Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock with My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid Ink . Also, the Bella and Posy Stamp would also be so cute! My color palette was simple. I used Ranger-Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Hickory Smoke , Worn Lipstick , Squeezed Lemonade , Mustard Seed and Ground Espresso .
