Mothers Day Bri Moodboard Inspiration

Hello crafty friends! Davina here on the blog with fun Mothers Day card I created using some wonderfully  tropical products in the shop, and the May BRI Moodboard colors. All of the items I used are in stock at the  Butterfly Reflections Ink website.   Once again Amanda had gifted us a beautiful Moodboard to inspire our creativity. Rose Water, Aurora Magenta, Marine Green, and Tropic Canary. The jewel tones of this months colors scream tropics to me, so I made a tropical scene. That amazing Fantastic Fronds   slimline cover plate is from Trinity Stamps, and I only used one, small yet mighty, cute stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh called  Tropical Toucans .  I used some heavy weight cardstock to make my slimline base for my card. Next, I cut the 4 inch remaining piece of cardstock with my  Fantastic Fronds   slimline coverplate. On a piece of 3.5 X 8.5 Bristol Smooth Cardstock I blended  Lucky Clover,   Mowed Lawn,  and  Twisted Citron  Distress oxide inks. I gave them a little splatter w

Coffee Cuties Card

Hello there!  Audrey here with my last post as guest designer for the month of December!  For my card today, I pulled out some adorable coffee themed products from Sugar Pea Designs!  To create this card, I started out with a piece of Kraft cardstock cut to 4" x 5.25".  I diecut all of the pieces from the Coffee Cuties die se t out of various colors of cardstock, then added depth with Distress Oxide and some white gel pen accents.  I placed the coffee cuts about where I wanted them and used the Trinity Stamps Seasonal Winds stencil to add some steam coming from the cups, splattered the panel with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, then popped the cups up with foam tape.  The sentiment is a combination of a stamped sentiment from the Brew-tiful Sentiments stamp set and diecut word from the Whole Latte Words die set .  Under the cups, I added some coffee beans using the Cool Beans stencil and a tiny coffee bean stamp from the Brew-tiful Sentiments stamp set .  Then, I ink blended

Trick or Treat

Hello Friends, Waleska here! Happy Halloween Day!!! I am super excited to share with you a super colorful halloween card I created with lots of Trinity Stamps products you can find at the shop! I hope you like it! Card Details: To create this card, I started by cutting tree pumpkings from the Harvest Candy and Flower Bucket Die Set with purple, orange and green cardstock I then used Oxide Inks in colors, Wilted Violet, Mowed Lawn and Carved Pumpking to add some shading to this pieces.   I then cut the faces of the pumpkins with black cardstock and add them to the pumpkins. I die cut the candy that comes in this cute set from the same colors I used before and I added some gold touches here and there with the Solid Gold Cardstock . I then cut with black cardstock the Trinity Stamps Foliage frame for a night look and adhere it to a background I inked with carved pumpkin and mowed lawn oxide ink. I added the sentiment and you are done! I hope your day is filled with candy and happy memo

Happy Haunting

Hey there, Everyone! It's Allison, and I'm super happy to be back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog! Today, I am sharing this fun Halloween slimline card featuring a mix of products, all of which you can find at the online shop . It has been awhile since I've played with my Nuvo shimmer powders , so that's where I started this project. I took a panel of watercolor paper, sprinkled some shimmer powders in different shades of blues and grays, and spritzed it with water. I added more powder and spritzed more water until I was happy with the results.  While my watercolor panel was drying, I pulled out my Slimline Rooftops Border Die from Trinity Stamps and used it to cut both black and white paper. I left the windows intact on the white paper and adhered that die cut to the back of the black die cut. I adhered the rooftop border to the panel and then adhered the panel to a white card base measuring 8.75" x 3.75". I also cut duplicates of a couple of the ro

Big Birthday Wishes Slimline Card

Hi BRI friends, Sara here! I am back with a new card, inspired by the July BRI Mood Board Challenge .   I really love this color palette, I think this is one of my favorite so far! So, this is my inspiration!    This time, I started with the background. I wasn’t sure how to make my scene, I didn’t know what stamp to use, but I wanted to play with Ranger alcohol ink . I have a “love and hate” relationship with this medium, because I really love the result but I am afraid of the process because you cannot control it LOL. But I thought it was the perfect time to try them! So I took out three colors that matched the Mood Board: Poppy Field, Peach Bellini and Wild Plum. I used Yupo Paper and I started applying some blending solution and some drops of color. I knew I wanted to make a slimline, but I started with a bigger sheet, so I could decide what section I like more. I also knew I wanted to leave a large white space, so I put ink only on one corner. When I got the result I wanted, I st

Love is in the Air

Hello crafty friends!  I hope you're all having a fantastic week!  Today, I am sharing this sweet slimline card with you using the Up With Love Stamp Set from Mama Elephant .  These cute little critters needed to be up in the clouds for sure!   I started with a slimline base that I die cut using Heffy Doodle's Stitched Slimline Trio Dies .  I blended Blueprint Sketch and Faded Jeans Distress Oxides and then spritzed some water on the entire background. I stamped my Up With Love images and then colored them with Copic markers. I created my clouds using Trinity Stamps Scenic Border Dies .  I adhered everything to my card base using 3D foam squares and liquid glue.  I added some bubble hearts to finish the card off! Here are some more photos of the finished card! I hope you enjoyed my blog post!  I can't wait to share another card with you next Thursday!  See you then! Xoxo, Amanda

Gingerbread Village

Hello, everyone - Happy Friday! Today, I have a "sweet" card to share using the same Trinity Stamps die that I used for my last card. When I shared my peaceful mountain village card on Monday, Vanessa said that the kraft card stock made her think of gingerbread houses. A light bulb went off in my head, and today's card is the result!  This time, I used the Slimline Rooftops die as intended - for a horizontal slimline card. Just like an actual gingerbread house, the construction of this card was pretty basic. It was the "piping" that was challenging. I'm not sure if I prefer piping icing onto real gingerbread or trying to draw tiny details on these houses, but both are fun and have endless possibilities. I could have taken this card in so many directions, like using color, gems, or stamps to add candy details. I even thought about adding some critters to make it look like they were building and decorating the houses. Let's be honest, my decorations do l

Cookies & Milk - You're So Sweet

Hello crafty friends and welcome back to the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog!  We are so happy you stopped by!   Today, I'm sharing a super "sweet" card with you using the Reverse Confetti Cookies and Milk Stamp Set . I started with the Lawn Fawn Foursquare Backdrop Landscape Die and cut the 2 bottom windows to create 1 larger window.  To create some grass for my windows, I used the Trinity Stamps Slimline Card Series: Scenic Border Dies.   I colored them with Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters, and Bundled Sage Distress Inks and Oxides. On my card base, I used Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide and spritzed it with water to create some water droplets. I stamped all my Cookies and Milk images with Hero Arts Intensified Black ink and then colored my images with Copic markers. For my sentiment, I stamped them with Versamark Watermark Ink and then used white Wow! Embossing Powder over top.  I melted the embossing powder with my heat tool and then cut the sentiments down with a paper tr

Peaceful Village

Hello, Everyone! Hope you all enjoyed a lovely holiday weekend. I am back to share a sweet slimline Christmas card. I don't know about you, but I keep seeing pictures of serene mountain villages on my social media feeds. It really makes me want to be in one of those towns, enjoying what looks to be a peaceful, quiet, no kids yelling and fighting, Covid-free, lovely place. I don't often make cards that are focused purely on kraft card stock, but I always love the look of them, and really wanted to have a muted tone-on-tone look for this card. Everything I used can be found in the BRI online shop .  Shop NOW to save 25% on your order - sale ends today (Cyber Monday). I knew I wanted to use Trinity Stamp's Slimline Rooftops Border die , but I wanted to use it in a different way. So, I opted for a vertical slimline. I cut a few full die-cuts out of the kraft card stock and then cut them into individual houses. I began arranging them, and rearranging them, and then rearranging

Hello Bootiful with Davina

Hello my Bootiful Friends! Davina here, with some October Moodboard Inspiration. I made a really fun Shaker-Slimline card using a mixture of new and old products that I hope you’ll love just as much as I do. The colors this month were very bold fall colors of a deep berry, yellow, orange, and olive green. I used a very dark palette of mostly black and accented the colors to create my project.  I used some just released slimline stamps from Trinity stamps to create this incredible branch frame. This set  All Spruced Up  was just dropped yesterday, and intended for beautiful Christmas cards. But I wanted to make a spooky card, so I stamped it in black on gray cardstock. Then, after using the matching die to easily cut it out, I inked the edges of the slimline panel with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped a few of the pine cones and branches in black and gray to accent the top. And I love how stamping in Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink showed up so well on the gray card.  Next,
