Berry Awesome card by Gladys

Hello crafty friends and welcome back! Gladys here with another cute card using Lawn Fawn's strawberry stamp sets. I had to get all the strawberry stamps and dies from the latest release because they go so well together. Here I combined the Strawberries add-on and Berry Special set. First I stamped out the images on 110lb cardstock using milk chocolate  ink. I used copic markers to color them then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I did use the jar from How You Bean stamp set for the pile of strawberries .   Next I cut a panel that was a little smaller than a standard A2 size. I began ink blending the background using distress oxide inks in seedless preserves , picked raspberry , saltwater taffy , mowed lawn and twisted citron . For interest I diluted mowed lawn with a bit of water and splattered it on the bottom panel using a small paint brush. I  repeated the steps using seedless preserves on the top part of the panel.  For interest I wrapped some twine on the ja

All-Weather Friend

Hi there friends! Gladys here and I'm so happy to be back on the BRI blog today. I have a fun friendship card to share with you. I was inspired by all the April rain showers we've had the past few days. To begin I cut Lawn Fawn rainy backdrop from a dark teal cardstock. I inked the edges to add depth using blueprint sketch distress oxide ink. I splattered Gansai Tambi watercolor in silver for more raindrops effect. Next I cut the grass from green cardstock and blended the edges with pine needle . I stamped the images from Weather with You stamp set using hybrid brown ink. I colored them using alcohol markers then cut using their coordinating dies . Of course I had to incorporate rainbow colors.  Also since it's Spring I decided to add a few  florals onto my scene. I placed Nuvo crystal drops to the center of them for interest.  The sentiment is from the set and it is white heat embossed on vellum using super fine white embossing powder . To complete my card I scatte

Oh Gnome!

Happy Friday Friends! It is  Dana  here today sharing a fun card and tag set using some products from  Lawn Fawn . For my card, I began by creating my background. I used the  Lawn Fawn: Mushroom Border Dies  for both my row of mushrooms and the grass. I love how both pieces are included with this die set! I mounted these onto a piece of paper from the  Lawn Fawn: Watercolor Wishes 6x6 Paper Pad . This is the perfect paper pad for backgrounds...it looks like you watercolored or ink blended the background, but without all of the work. For my images, I used the  Lawn Fawn: Oh Gnome! Stamp Set . I stamped my images with  Gina K Designs Jet Black Amalgam Ink  and colored them with  Copic Markers . Next, I used the  Lawn Fawn: Oh Gnome! Lawn Cuts  to die cut all of my images. I attached them to my card front with  Foam Adhesive . To finish my card, I attached my card panel onto my A2 card base. Next, I began working on my tags. I used the  Lawn Fawn: Mushroom House Die

Unlikely Friendship

Hey There, Crafty Friends! Thanks for stopping by today! I've got a cars for you that exemplifies one of my greatest struggles in crafting: Thinking outside the box! Sometimes when I look at a stamp set, I have trouble thinking of ways to combine it with other stamp sets for more unique combinations and looks. But what is a more classic combination than dogs and cats? In the crafting world, dogs and cats can be best friends! I stamped some of these Heffy Doodle images with a copic safe black ink on to white cardstock. I colored them with copic markers and then used the matching die sets to cut them out. I glued them on to a card panel and then added a sentiment from Honey Bee stamps with the same black ink. I trimmed down that panel using a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die and then glued some foam on the back for added dimension. I adhered that panel on to a cut and scored 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base that I had made out of patterned paper I had in my stash! So n

Snarky Mermaids Are the Best Mermaids

Hey friends! It's Jess , and I am so thrilled to be joining you on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog for the very first time as a Design Team member. Hooray! We're going to have a ton of fun together this fall, so let's jump right in. For my first project, I'm sharing a card I made with the absolutely darling ' Mermaid Anya ' stamp from The Greeting Farm. When I saw her on the website, I just knew I had to have her, so I snagged her right away. She's way too cute to pass on! I colored her up using Copic markers and added a few gel pen accents in white. I decided she needed a serene ocean background, so I kept my Copic markers out and got to work. The sky was super easy - it's just streaks of oranges, pinks, and yellows layered on top of one another to form that pretty sunset sky we all love. I colored up my 'ocean' as well and added a few gel pen waves here for some interest. I cut my background panel down to about 3 inches and t

Striped Doodle Flowers

Happy, happy hump day! Hope you all are having a GREAT week! I made two cards this week using the same stamps; one monochromatic with Copics, the other soft and colorful with Zig Clean Color Markers. I stamped the watercolor background stamps on the main panel as well as the base card, the main panel is cut with MFT Blueprints and layered with fun foam. The monochromatic flowers were stamped with Jet Black ink, colored with Copics and layered onto a partial stitched circle from MFT.   On the Zig card, I embossed the images with white embossing powder and layered onto a partial white doily. The sentiments are from Right at Home, Script Sayings, I used the Misti to stamp the sentiments so I could stamp multiple times for a solid impression, particularly since the one actually stamps on the doily. Thanks for stopping by - don't forget to check out all the amazing items at Butterfly Reflections Ink - particularly that sale section  or the Stamp and Die s

Ewe Make Me Smile

So spring is flying by so fast! Much faster then I can create projects from all the adorable stamps I have been collecting! One set in an early spring release I  fell in love with but didn't get the chance to use until now is the  Reverse Confetti All About Ewe Stamp set.  Thank goodness it has a lot of sweet sentiments which can be used year round. For this card I first colored and cut out my images. Dies are available for this set and they can be found by clicking  HERE . I created a card panel using the  MFT Stitched Arch dies  and  Blueprints 25 . And created a scene from the images in the set and the  In The Clouds Dies  and  Grassy Hills Dies . I love all the fun play on the words 'you/ewe' in this set! Hugs, Rebekah ❤
