Storybook Sweetness

Happy Saturday crafty friends! Amy ( The Craft Bunny ) here! I'm happy to be back today to share a sweet card. I am obsessed with a few things lately - critter, flower and watercolor. Today, I'm pairing all of them to make this card. Die cut the beautiful frame using WPlus9 Lattice Frame Die . Cut out the middle to get an opening Stamp the flowers from Altenew Wild Hibiscus  and the deer from Avery Elle Storybook in light brown ink. Watercolor with distress inks . I have colored the deer close to real life and I think it really complements the flowers! :) For the background, I blended some distress inks and added splatters to add interest The sentiment is silver heat embossed from Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Isn't this sweet? Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have a fantastic weekend! :)

Bye for Now! New Adventure Ahead!

Hello crafty friends! Amy ( The Craft Bunny ) here sharing my last card as the design team. My term has passed by so quickly! It's sad to say goodbye, but goodbye also means new adventure ahead. So, my card today is about adventures. I have used Create a Smile stamps to build a scene. Imagine yourself sipping tea in a flower garden. Beyond all the pretty flowers in sight, there is a hot air balloon embarking on a new journey. More details below. Prepare two pieces of watercolor paper . On the first paper, white heat emboss the flowers and leaves from the Magic Flower stamp set . Mask when necessary On the second paper, white emboss a few flowers and the hot air balloon (from the Uplifting set ) Paint the images with Gansai Tambi watercolor , then fussy cut out the flower cluster Create clouds with a stencil made from MFT Die-namics Stitched Cloud Edges Stamp the sentiment in brown, mount the flower cluster with foam tape and embellish with sequins It's be

It's Seal-Abrate Time!

Hello friends! Amy ( The Craft Bunny ) here. Now that it's April, I hope you are enjoying Spring in your city. I am already looking forward to Summer :) My family used to go to a theme park similar to SeaWorld in the summer. It was always a very fun experience. Today, I have channeled my happy memory to create a seal card. The Seal-Abrate stamp set from Avery Elle is a small stamp set. I like this set very much because it is so affordable. However, small sets can be limiting when I build scenes. So, I combined it with MFT's Take the Stage Die-namics to make a simple performance scene. Below is my step-by-step: Die cut the stage pieces from white card stock. Blend with Antique Linen and Salty Ocean distress inks . Mount with foam tape. Blend some Pumice Stone at the bottom to make a ground. Add some water droplets Stamp the seal and his stand with Momento Tuxedo Black ink. Color with Copic markers . Die cut out with coordinating dies . Mount with foam tape Die

Easy Floral Wreath Using MISTI

Hi friends! Amy ( The Craft Bunny ) here today sharing some MISTI tips. When I first got my MISTI, I only used it to stamp my sentiment. As I become more comfortable with this tool, I began to pick up more techniques. Today's card features a floral wreath made with small stamp images from Altenew's  Beautiful Day and Peony Bouquet . This can be easily achieved with MISTI  by stamping a flower to the side, then turn your card by 180 degree, then stamp again. I did not use any masks for this card. Instead, I manipulated the stamps so they look like they are connected together. This is very easy to do and the wreath itself only took me a few minutes to stamp. For the rest of the card: Fill in the outer white space with the same stamp images with light gray ink Color in the wreath with Copic markers . After the coloring, I added some small dots to balance out my wreath so it'd look more centered Stamp the sentiment repeatedly using black and gray ink Lastly, em

You Are Awesome!

Hi friends! Amy (The Craft Bunny ) here today to share a fun scene card using some Avery Elle goodies. Avery Elle has recently come up with some really unique stamps. I am so excited to use them and share with you! Today, I am using Stoked and Hats Off. I love Stoked! It's so fun and excellent for Copic coloring! I have been watercoloring so much lately that my Copic skills are getting rusty. It's time to get back in the game! Below is my step-by-step. Stamp the hands onto a piece of white card stock. Mask them with masking paper , then stamp the cool drummer. Color the images with Copic markers Mask off the drummer with masking paper. Then, mask off two straight lines with painter's tape, blend in some yellow distress ink to be the stage light. Then, blend some dark colors to be the background. Sprinkle some water Stamp the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink Die cut the panel with MFT Die-namics Blueprints 25 That's it for this simple one-la

Storybook Bunny and Bear

Hello there! Amy ( The Craft Bunny ) here! I have a sweet watercolor card for you today. I used WPlus9's Fresh Cut Containers and Happy Mail to build the scene here. The Fresh Cut Containers stamp set is surprisingly easy to use! Below are the details and some tips. On watercolor paper, stamp the pot and flowers using various colors of distress inks . Then, soften the image with a water brush. To deepen the shadow, simply go in directly with more of your distress ink. Dawn has shown a perfect example of this technique on WPlus9's YouTube channel. You can watch the video here Stamp the bear, bunny and tree trunk using Memento LUXE Rich Cocoa ink , heat set it, then color with distress inks. I could have done no-line watercoloring for them but I like my animals to have a solid outline Die cut the panel with Die-namics Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Stamp the sentiment using the rich cocoa ink and die cut with MFT Tag Builder Blueprints 5 . Mount with foam ta

Whale Love

Hello there! Amy ( The Craft Bunny ) here today sharing a love scene card. I adore the Whale Hello set from Avery Elle. I made the tails of the whales to turn upwards like they are playing (or making out) under the water. For the wavy ocean, I used My Favorite Things' Snow Drifts Cover-Up . The first time I saw this die, I was like hmmm I don't know how to use it and I simply tossed it aside. However, the more I tried to use it, the more possibilities it can offer! I have made land, sky, abstract background, and now ocean out of it!! Stay tuned with my blog for those examples, some are already there, some are coming soon :) Anyways, believe me, this die is a must-have! Here's a closer look at my card. Die cut Snow Drifts Cover-Up out of watercolor paper . Blend blue and teal inks on the bottom panels and add water droplets. Cut away the top inner parts of the cover up die to free up the top space. The, in lay the bottom colored pieces  On the card b

Happy Puuur-Day!

Hi there! Amy ( The Craft Bunny ) here! I'm finally using the adorable kitties from Greeting Farm!! This set is called Purfect Cats . Vanessa has just restocked these cuties in the shop. They have coordinating dies too. I love that the kitties are big and chubby, totally my cup of tea. If I have cats, they will look exactly like this - big and fat and always want to eat. I made this scene because I think this will be how they celebrate their birthday. Their faces are so close to the cake, looks like they can't wait to dig in :) Here is my step-by-step. Stamp the birthday cake from MFT Birthday Bears set . Mask it, then stamp the kittens and the sentiment. Color the images with Copic markers Blend pink, orange and yellow distress inks for the background and add water droplets Die cut a shaker frame with MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX , blend with the same color Assemble the shaker with acetate, foam tape and Lucy's Cards Iridescent White sequins . Candy Town

Hello! Amy ( The Craft Bunny ) here! Today I'm playing with Altenew's Way Too Sweet set . I combine it with My Favorite Things' Winter Wonderland  to build a Candy Town. The town has a lollipop, a cookie house, a chocolate tree, cupcakes, popsicles, and a sledge carrying a candy. Everything is edible, including the marshmallow clouds! :) This card is really easy to make. Usually, the spirit of my card is the story and design :) Sometimes it's harder to execute (e.g. the love story between monkey and birdie ), sometimes it isn't. Today's card happens to be really easy to execute. Here is the step-by-step: Stamp all images in black copic friendly ink, mask when necessary. Color with Copic markers Blend the marshmallow sky with a stencil made with Die-namics Stitched Cloud Edges  using pink and peach inks Stamp the sentiment on Die-namics Blueprints 25 and mount with foam tape Hope you like my card today. Have a very happy weekend! :)

Scene Card - It Has Always Been You

Hello! Amy ( The Craft Bunny ) here today to share a scene card featuring MFT's products. Today's story is about a monkey and a bird. The monkey is holding an umbrella, shielding the rain from his girlfriend/friend. It has always been the monkey doing that for the bird. Do you have such a person in your life? You two may seem very different from each other but at the end of the day, he/she still protects you from all the bad things :) Blend Tumbled Glass distress ink onto the background panel Die cut the cloud and blend the edges with Spun Sugar distress ink Stamp, die cut and color all images with Copic markers . I have used images from MFT Cheeky Monkey , All Heart , Somebunny and Ewe are the Best Stamp the sentiment from All Heart set with black pigment ink Adhere everything as shown with foam tape and glue. Stamp the rain with black ink all over the card, except below the umbrella I hope you get inspired. This card is quite complicated.

Watercolor Card with Adorable Elephant

Happy Friday! Amy (aka The Craft Bunny )  here for my first post on Butterfly Reflections Ink. I'm super excited to join Vanessa's wonderful team! I'm a relatively new cardmaker as I only  started this hobby in 2015 but I am absolutely addicted!! Well, if you're reading this post, I bet you are too! :)  Today I'm sharing a watercolor card using MFT's Adorable Elephant . I have been dying to use  it with my Gansai Tambi Watercolor ! Here is my watercolor card. On a piece of watercolor paper, paint a watercolor background Sandwich my watercolor piece between some white printer paper, run it through my Big Shot to flatten out the panel Stamp the flying heart-shaped balloons (no tails). I have used Versafine Onyx Black ink. Apply masks when necessary Stamp the elephant in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color with Copics. I used some cool gray colors Fussy cut the elephant. Carefully run the edges of the image with a C4 marker. Mount with foam tape
