Winter Wonderland Card

Happy Wednesday everyone and welcome back to the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog and my FIRST post! I'm so excited to be here and can't wait to share a whole lot of inspiration with you! I love all things floral and recently started coloring critters! So it was fitting to share a critter card!  I'm all for stretching stamp sets, so just cause the holidays are over doesn't mean we can't keep making winter cards! I never got to these stamps last year, so I had to get them inky!  To create the card I started by stamping the three critters from the  Winter Magic Stamp Set  on to watercolor paper  and colored them using Zig Real Brush markers. Then I fussy the images.  To create the 'scene' I die cut the scallop and stitched rectangle (with the windows) from the  Slim Card Basics Creative Cuts . I ink blended the edge of the scalloped rectangle with some distress oxide ink in Tumbled Glass , then I used the same ink to stamp the snowflakes from the  B...

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year Card

Hi there! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a card full of some winter-y magic and whimsy! I used the beautiful Winter Magic Stamp Set by Evelin T Designs ! I love how this came out! And I can just imagine how happy those critters are, jumping for joy for this holiday season! I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out! I popped up the critters with foam tape ! For that beautiful night sky, I used Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, to ink blend the sky. Then I used white embossing paste and a star stencil for the sky! I also die cut some snowy hills using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside Border Die Set and Puffy Cloud Borders Die Set ! Hopefully this card made you smile and start feeling that Christmas feeling! Enjoy! ~ Samantha

You Are So Sweet

Hello everyone and happy August! It's Ashley today with a card featuring the cutest little bunny! Look how adorable he is with his cookie! I started by stamping the pile of cookies from Evelin T. Designs Coffee Loving Critters in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink on my card and a piece of masking paper . I cut out my mask and covered the cookies before stamping the other three images onto my card with the Jet Black ink. I created masks for those images and covered them as well so I could ink blend my background. I used Post It tape to mask off the bottom part of my card with a straight line. I grabbed my blender brushes to keep the colors soft and blended Lawn Fawn inks in Minty Fresh , Mermaid , and Deep Sea around my images. When my blending looked how I wanted, I removed the masks and colored my images with Copic markers . I trimmed an eighth of an inch off of each side and added some stitching using the second biggest die in the Lawn Fawn Just Stitching Double Rectan...

Meow-y Good Day

Hello everyone! It's Ashley with a card showcasing a stamp from a new company - Evelin T. Designs! I knew I needed this Sneaky Kitties stamp as soon as I saw the preview! Look how cute they are!! I started by stamping the Sneaky Kitties with my MISTI and Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink onto Bristol smooth cardstock, then I colored the image with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I used the large Polaroid die from Hello Bluebird Photo Stack to cut out the part of the image I wanted on my card. I cut that same die out of white cardstock and white foam and glued them together for some dimension on the frame. I made the background by die cutting white cardstock with the Pretty Pink Posh Lattice Background and attaching it to Lawn Fawn Fog cardstock . After attaching my Polaroid pieces, I used the "smile" word die from Hello Bluebird Photo Stack on some Lawn Fawn Sage Leaf cardstock and attached it to the bottom of the photo frame with my Zig glue pen . I wanted ...
