Add More Sprinkles Card

Hi everybody! It's Cassie from Creatively Cass back to share another card with you. I just got a huge package of goodies from Butterfly Reflections, and I was SO excited to get crafty with all the products. I used the Birthday Scoops to create the focal point of my card. Using the Distress Oxide Inks Kitsch Flamingo , Saltwater Taffy , Salvaged Patina and Cracked Pistachio  I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment in the middle of an A2 size card panel. To add some pattern to the card front I used watercolor shape from the Watercolor Wash Rectangle stencil and ink blended Over Coffee ink around the edges. I also stamped the little sprinkles around the ink blended portion of the card. Next I started stamping out the cute little bird and fox from the Fox Costumes Before N After stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I love  the versatility of this set. You could really do a lot with it. These little cuties were perfect for this sprinkles birthday card :) Both of these were fussy c

Pizza My Heart

Hi everyone! It's Cassie from Creatively Cass here and I'm back to share another card with you. Today's card is one that I was inspired to make based on the fact that my boyfriend and my anniversary is coming up! We're both pizza lovers, so the Pizza My Heart stamp set by Lawn Fawn seemed like a no brainer. Let's jump in :)  I started the card by using the MFT Watercolor Wash Square stencil, and some new Distress Oxide colors I recently picked up from BRI. On the bottom corner I blended Kitsch Flamingo and for the top I used Salvaged Patina . These colors blended together beautifully. I couldn't believe how lovely these new colors were. I splattered some paint over the square and let it dry.  Next I stamped out the pizza images from the Pizza My Heart stamp set. I loved making my own pizzas with all the toppings. I made a couple of our fave combos - it's making me hungry just to think about! I don't have the dies for these, so I just used some scissor

Shaker Bookmark

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday! I hope you're having a great day so far. It's Cassie from Creatively Cass, and I'm here to share a fun bookmark project I made this week. Let's get to it!  I started this shaker by stamping my images. I just love the cuties in the Rain or Shine stamp set by Avery Elle . I stamped it with some Copic friendly black ink and colored the in with my Copic markers. I don't have the dies for this, so I fussy cut them out with some detail scissors. Next comes making the shaker!  I die cut two of the medium size of circle frame dies like this one and cut some acetate to fit between my shaker sandwich. I used a mixture of blue sequins and adhered my shaker together. I adhered the images to the shaker and started working on my sentiment and finishing touches.  I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Sunny Vibes stamp set by MFT Stamps on some blue cardstock. That was adhered to the shaker as well. A little hole reimbursement die wa

Oh So Cozy BRI Moodboard inspiration

Hello crafty friends! Davina here on the blog today, to share some cozy Autumn inspiration using the November BRI Moodboard colors. This month the Moodboard brings to us, some moody earthy tones, that remind me of photos I’ve seen of foggy tree filled forests. Being from the desert, my mind also clings to the idea of  beautiful red rocks and terra cotta clay pots. Steel Gray, Baked Earth, Blue Spruce, and Pine Grove are this months color collection.  While flipping through my bins of Mama Elephant stamps, I was going to try some little foxes in the woods. And then I saw my cover plate dies, and the unused, hoarded,  Ornate House Grid  cover plate. And I thought “Adobe!” Then I flipped through a little more and I came up with my “Llama Adobe Abode”.  This was a blast to put together, and the coloring was minimal, so it felt easier than usual to me. I started by die cutting the house from a remnant of terra cotta cardstock. I was going to back it with a light and earthy colored piece of

Have a Magical Day!!

Hello Friends! Waleska here from craftinglovew  very happy to share with you today a magical card with a bunch of magical products available at the shop .  I hope you like my card and can be inspired by it. CARD DETAILS: To start my card I did the cloud background on a slimline base card using the MFT Cloud Stencil , I used Oxide ink Tumbled Glass for a soft cloudy look.  I then cut the Memory Box Arched Collage die in the center of my slimline card.  I cut a second rainbow from gold glitter cardstock and adhere it to the first piece only the arches that were left in the card.  For the rainbow background I inked a piece of white cardstock with oxide inks: Kitsch Flamingo , Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin , Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers and adhere it to the back of the die cut piece, I love all those colors blended together! Then I die cut a cloud piece to adhere to the bottom of my card and I used Tumbled Glass oxide ink again only on the border of this cloud piece.  I decided t

Out of this World Birthday

Hi all! It's Cassie here, from Creatively Cass, and I'm back to share a card I made for the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog. I went with a one layer galaxy card for today's post. Here's the finished product!  I started by stamping out my images from the Out of This World stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I used masking tape to get the effect of the overlapping balloons for the little astronaut. Then, with those same masks, I used Distress Oxide ink colors Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot to create a galaxy background.  I then colored the images in with my Copic markers and added strings to all the balloons with a Copic multiliner marker. Obviously, I needed some stars so I used some white paint to splatter over the background. After everything had dried I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment at the bottom of the card. My favorite final touch is to add white gel pen accents to each of the little images. I also decorated the envelope to match! And that'

Trick or Treat

Hello, Everyone! Allison here, and I'm back with a fun interactive Halloween card. I decided to do something a little different and incorporate the interactive feature onto a slimline card. I used several products from Mama Elephant and a few other bits, all of which are available in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink shop . I started by creating the main feature of the card, which is the Flip Slider from Mama Elephant. I cut the main element out of black cardstock. I went ahead and stamped "Pull" on the corresponding part of the element. I figured it would be easier to stamp at the beginning before I assembled the whole thing. I think my Pull stamp from MFT is retired, but Lawn Fawn has a set of great interactive stamp sentiments.  I then stamped the images that were going to be highlighted on the slider. I used the adorable Little Mummy Agenda from Mama Elephant for this. I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on white card stock and then colored the images with Copic

Good morning crafters and card makers! Heather here today to share a slimline card that I created using some goodies from the shop! I don’t know about you, but just love ALL of the Avery Elle Peek-a-Boo critters!!  They’ve got all of these super fun accessories and I love that Vanessa stocks all of these great items in the shop!  For my card I started out by stamping a few Avery Elle images onto Strathmore Watercolor Paper .  The images I chose today are from the Polar Bear Peek-a-Boo Pals   Stamp Set (Walrus, Fox, & scarves), the Peek-a-Boo Coaster Stamp Set (the cute Owl), as well as a few bumper cars from the Peek-a-Boo Fair Stamp Set .  I stamped all of these images using Ink on 3's super cool Fade out Ink so that I could create a “no-line” coloring look. Next I went to work coloring all of the images using water color pencils and a paint brush with clean water on it. Nuvo has a variety of fun sets of Watercolor Pencils and you can find them in the shop here ,  here

Seaside Hello!

Hi there!!!! I'm so happy to be back once again on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog. Today's card is a sea themed one featuring  a bunch of Lawn Fawn goodies. I first die cut a stitched 4,25" x 5,5" rectangle from white card stock and I ink blended it with tumbled glass and broken china Distress Oxide inks. I then die cut two stitched waves and one hill side borders and I ink blended the first two with mermaid lagoon and salty ocean Distress Oxide inks and for the third border I used antique linen , vintage photo and walnut stain Distress Oxide inks. I also die cut a palm tree using Lawn Fawn "Tropical Backdrop" dies.  I stamped images from "Ocean Shell-fie" stamp set with black ink, I colored them with alcohol markers and I fussy cut them (you can use coordinating dies if you prefer).  For my sentiment, I die cut three times the "Hello" scripty die from white card stock, I glued them together and I blended it with speckled e

Happy Birthday Party Animal!

Hello friends! Gladys here and I'm excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog to share another card I made. I combined a lot of products from Mama Elephant so I hope you like it! I started off coloring the Stackable Cuties and Stackable Friends stamp set using copic markers. I cut them out using their coordinating dies. These sets have various animals you can find in the jungle and on a farm, it even has a unicorn!! For this card I decided to use only the pet animals from each set. I had an idea to use the Ornate House grid  as a barn house. To make it look like a barn I cut it out using Lawn Fawn woodgrain cardstock  and inked the edges using distress oxide in ground espresso. I cut the house again in Neenah 80lb cardstock and inked the cutouts in distress oxide dried marigold. I adhered the house on a blue cardstock then cut out grass to ground a few of the animals. I foam mounted each of the animals into the window cutouts.  I stamped the sentiment from the Sta

August BRIMoodboard with Davina

Hello my colorful friends! Davina here, using the August BRIMoodboard, and Avery Elle stamps. I really love the jewel tone colors of the current Moodboard and I wanted to let them shine. I have been hoarding so many adorable Avery Elle stamp sets that I haven’t had the chance to use, so I decided to go ahead and dig in. The Fairy Happy   Stamp set was perfect for this gorgeous color palette.  I started by cutting a piece of white cardstock using some Lawn Fawn Cross-Stitch layers. Then I stamped a navy starry sky using the Avery Elle Starry Scene  and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink. Once I stamped it several times and achieved even coverage, I splattered some glittery and white ink onto the stamped image.  Next, I stamped my images onto Neenah solar white classic crest, then colored them with copic markers in shades of the Moodboard colors. I tried to get a lot of variation using only the four color families, and only added skin and hair tones. After die cutting the images I mounted th

I'd Be Lost Without You Anniversary Card

Hey friends! Britney here with a card featuring several Lawn Fawn products ( Car Critters ,  Happy Village , Oliver’s Stitched ABCs,  Happy, Happy, Happy , and  Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait ). My husband and I just celebrated our ninth wedding anniversary at the end of July and I thought this card was very fitting to celebrate. If you’ve ever read any of my previous blog posts before, you know I like to start with my background first. I started by cutting four panels using the  Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait  out of  Chili Pepper  card stock. I cut out the center cross lines from each and glued them all together using liquid adhesive. On a plain white panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card stock, I masked off a line to ink up my sky. I used Lawn Fawn  Fish Tank  and  Blue Jay  inks. Once that was done, I spritzed some of the  Avery Elle Clear Shimmer Spray  to the background. I used Lawn Fawn  Manatee  and  Soot  inks to ink up my road and  Cilantro  and  Freshly Cut Grass  ink

Moodboard Desert by Davina

Hello hot stuff! Today I have a bold sizzling slimline to share using all Lawn Fawn Products and inspired by the July Moodboard.  This Moodboard was very difficult for me to work with. I must admit that reds and deep oranges are the colors that I use the least. And although these colors are gorgeous, I’m just super intimidated by them. This spicy July Moodboard brings to mind candy and Starbursts, and delightful food & delicacies. But I don’t make food cards very often, I like to create stories and scenes. So I really had to brainstorm to come up with a perfect scene. Because, I like the challenge, and I didn’t want to give up and take the easy way out haha 😂 While flipping through my unused stamps, I came across the Lawn Fawn Crazy Antics . And it hit me, red fire ants. Living my entire life in the deserts of the South West part of the country, I’ve seen plenty of red fire ants. Then, my brain starting thinking about red deserts... red rocks, Sedona etc... If only I had a dog sta
