Some Bunny Loves You

Happy Saturday, Everyone! I'm so excited to be back on the BRI blog today. I have a cute spring-themed, slimline card to share with you today. My card features the bunnies from Mama Elephant's Up With Love stamp set. You may notice that one of the bunnies is facing the opposite direction. I was able to do this with a trick called mirror stamping. There are a lot of different ways to do mirror stamping, but I used the Waffle Flower Mini Media Mat . I used black pigment ink, and I did that for two reasons. First, I thought it would give the best result. And second, I had planned to color the bunnies with my Zig clean color real brush markers. I put the stamp on an acrylic block, inked it up, and then stamped it right onto the media mat. I then took a piece of Bristol smooth card stock and carefully pressed it onto the mat, smoothing my hand over it to get a good impression. I lifted the paper, and voila - I had my mirror image!  I colored all of the bunnies using the same gra...

Beautiful Blessings

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a Wonderful Valentine's Day!! It is  Dana  here today with a set of cards using lots of products from  MFT Stamps . Today, I am using the sentiments in the  MFT Stamps: Beautiful Blessings Stamp Set  and the  MFT Stamps: Beautiful Blessings 2 Stamp Set . These sentiments are perfect for showing your love and support to your friends and family that might need a little bit of encouragement. I started my card by die cutting the  MFT Stamps: Heart Tree  from my white cardstock panel. I then mounted a piece of pastel green cardstock behind my die cut tree for the leaves. Next, I mounted my card front onto my A2 pastel colored card bases. I used  Gina K Design Connect Glue  for all of my glueing. The liquid glue allowed me a little time to get everything lined up, had a great hold, and can get into small detailed areas. Then, I die cut my tree trunk and three hearts from the same Heart Tree Die. I inlaid...

Love You Lots

Hello Crafty Friends! It is  Dana  here today sharing a Valentine Card using lots of fun products from  Reverse Confetti. I started my card by creating an Alcohol Ink background with  Ranger Alcohol Ink  and  Ranger Alcohol Ink Yupo Paper.  The three colors I used were: Flamingo, Poppyfield, and a little Wild Plum. Any reds and pinks would be perfect for a Valentine day card!! Next, I used the  Reverse Confetti: All Heart Cover Panel Confetti Cuts Die.  I cut it out of white cardstock and then ran it back through my die cutting machine with the (alcohol ink) Yupo paper. I attached the white panel to my A2 card base with  Lawn Fawn: Glue Tube  and then inlaid some alcohol ink hearts back into my panel in a random pattern. For my images, I used the  Reverse Confetti: Mouse Mail Stamp Set.  I stamped them with  Memento Tuxedo Black Ink  and colored them with  Copic Sketch Markers.  T...

"Memories" scrapbook layout ///Doodlebug Designs "Hello" collection

Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! It's Heather and I am so excited to be sharing my first design team project with you! When I saw the Hello collection from Doodlebug , I knew it was just perfect for the photos I had of my mother celebrating her most recent birthday...(no, mom, I won't tell everyone how old you are!) Most of my layouts have only one photo, but I couldn't possibly choose between them...she looks so happy! I decided a grid format was the best way to go which is the easiest way to get incorporate many of the beautiful patterned papers.  Plus, I was able to use one of the large chipboard words from Dear Lizzy  perfectly in between.  I had initially thought I would paint them in some way...but I love the way the white title contrasts with all of the colors! I started with a piece of American crafts white cardstock....And, at this time, Butterfly Reflections Ink does not offer 12x12 papers, but what goes on that piece of...

Happy Flowers and Chocolates Day!

Hi everyone!   Norine here today, with a couple of simple Valentine's cards to share with you! I started by painting a wash of red watercolor paint on two sheets of watercolor paper.  I used the Gansai Tambi paints for some really rich, intense color that smoothly flows into a pale washed out color.   Once they were dry I could die cut them with the MFT's Peek-a-boo Striped Heart die , once with the heart positioned with the darkest color at the top and again with the darkest color towards the bottom.  Then I could push out the pieces from the one first card panel and replace them with the pieces from the second one.  And because I now had some leftover painted pieces that I'd removed from the first card, I decided to die cut the heart once again on a plain white piece of watercolor paper and add the stripes to that.  After all the pieces were in place and adhered to a card base, I die cut the word "happy" ( Concord & 9th...

Brutus Monroe, True Love Luggage...

Hey folks, it's Norine  and I'm back on the blog again today and switching it up from all the flower cards a couple of days back.  Today I'm sharing a couple of cute and simple cards! I stamped the image from the True Love Luggage stamp set by Brutus Monroe  twice, once onto Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock for coloring with the Zig Clean Color markers (the Bon Voyage card), and again onto Neenah Solar White cardstock for coloring with Copics (the "Follow You Anywhere card). I stamped the sentiments using individual alphabet stamps like these ones from Lawn Fawn, called Milo's ABCs .  The Bon Voyage sentiment is stamped with all the alphabets bumped together on the MISTI , but for the "follow" sentiment, I didn't have as much room to fit it all in so I drew a line with a straight edge and a pencil, and stamped each letter individually. The Bon Voyage card is a top-folding A2 size card and when I messed up the stamped sentiment...

Sweet and Simple

Hi, friends! Rebekah here today to show you a card made with super sweet products from  Pretty Pink Posh ! I don't know about you but there have been times when I sit down to make something and I almost feel stressed. I feel like as if every card has to be an involved process and has to outshine the last card I made. Well, here is a lesson in relaxing! Some cards can be beautiful and yet simple to make and still come from the heart! This card took less then 30 minutes to make and it even includes colored images and a shaker!  I kept my coloring  and design to a minimum and I love the results! First, I colored my images form the Pretty Pink Posh Friends Forever Stamp Set  and cut them out leaving a small border. Then, on a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of card stock I die cut a small heart using the  Stitched Heart Dies from MFT. . I also stamped my sentiment and colored a small shadow under where i will place my little girl images. I added  Foam Mounting Ta...

Elphie Selfie

Happy Saturday!  Today I'm sharing stamps and dies from Elphie Selfie .  This adorable stamp set includes lots of critters (my favorite!) that I stamped, die cut and colored with Copics. The coordinating dies make cutting these cute images out so easy. For the elephant's spray I decided to do rainbow hearts. I used  Distress Oxide inks  for the hearts. These inks are so creamy and they float on top of that paper making blending super simple and fun.  I used Distress Oxide Peeled Paint  for the background and finished my card with a sentiment from Elphie Selfie  and Clear Droplets .  Thanks for joining me today! Have a wonderful weekend!

Bunches of HUGS!

Hi there!  It's Rebekah here today! For this card I used the Misti Stamp Positioner  to aline and stamp the sentiment along the side of  a white card panel that I die cut using the large, stitched rectangle die in the MFT Blueprints 25  . I used the Lots of Hugs Stamp  sentiment stamps also from MFT.  About 2/3 of the way down I used the larger hugs sentiment in the set and colored it with copic markers. For the heart charms, I die cut white paper with the smallest heart in Stitched Heart STAX die set  four times and colored each one with my copics for a perfect color matching to the sentiment. I tied the twine around the spine of the card and added the hearts to the ends of the twine. I added foam on the back of one heart and then attached the twine with  Multi Matte Medium  and then added the other heart. This adds some dimension and helps keep the heart charm safely attached to the twine. MFT has a number of basic sh...

Hearts and Hugs

Hey there, friends! Its Rebekah here sharing a card I made using the  Flicker Heart Die  from Memory Box and the  Avery Elle Simply Said Love Die ! For this card, I used the die over an entire card panel, shifting it slightly each time before I ran it threw my die cutter. I saved all of the heart die cuts because I used them a little later on in my process. I used foam tape to pop up the panel and I mounted it on a piece of Kraft cardstock. I then colored a few of the hearts with a marker. I placed them inside the heart panel here and there. The  Avery Elle Hugs Die  comes with the background for the word 'hugs' and I cut it three times from white cardstock and glued them together. I also cut it once with red cardstock and adhered it using  Multi Matte Medium , sifting it a little to the side so it could slightly be seen behind the white cardstock. For the word 'hugs' itself, I cut it from black cardstock and black craft foam and glued them togeth...

Everyone Deserves...

Good Morning!!!   I'm  back with a new card featuring Concord and 9th products, some older, some new!! As soon as I looked at the  Give Thanks  stamp set,  I instantly gravitated toward the leaf image that looks like a heart.  I also used the  Friend Like You Dies . I really struggle with color combinations so I used one of the Distress Ink Recipes.  Recipe #5 to be exact. Those colors are Worn Lipstick, Shabby Shutters, Scattered Straw and Stormy Sky. I only inked up the edge and stamped directly onto some  Watercolor Paper  and smoothed the ink out with my  water brush . After stamping the entire background in this way, I added a few layers using the same inks with less water so the color was more intense. Without taking apart the dies, I die cut the Friend Like You dies in the middle of the panel.  And look at all the prettiness that was left over!! I also used the scallop frame from ...

His Love

Hello Everyone! I am back with another layout! With Summer approaching, I wanted to jump in on my summer pictures from last year. There is nothing I love more than bright and colorful when it comes to summer. So with that being said, I decided to go for all the colors in this layout. Illustrated Faith has really done a great job with eye catching, colorful and incorporating gods love in their products. When looking for products to use for my summer photos, I knew right away these  Bible Journaling Stickers in HIS LOVE  were perfect! I wanted to keep this layout simple but interesting at the same time. I went for a mixed media background using watercolors and a packaging technique. I felt like watercolors are a great option because you can control how loud you want the color or how soft you want the color by just adding more or less water.  I didn't want to go overboard with a bright background, since I wanted these hearts to really stick out. I also went ...
