Happy Tuesday crafty friends! Danielle here up on the BRI blog with a fun card featuring some old and some new dies and stamps from My Favorite Things! I simply adore the way this card turned out especially because it reminds me of my son Noah and our kitty Molly.
I started off using one of the images from the stamp set Little Buddies and stamped directly onto my cardstock. I then stamped the same image, this time on some Gina K Masking Magic paper and fussy cut around the image. This is because I wanted the little boy to appear to be sitting on the grass with the hills and trees behind him. Once I applied my masked image, I used the new Scene Builder and stamped my grass with flowers and the hills with trees. Once all my images were stamped I removed the masking paper to reveal the adorable scene. I always love seeing the whole image once everything is stamped! It's such a fun technique and can be used with any stamps you may have! I colored the boy and grassy hill he is sitting on first using various copic markers. I then proceeded to color the rest of the grass and sky. I was worried coloring such a large area with copics, but with smooth paper it really helped blending.
I then ran my colored image through my die cutting machine using the Stitched Circle Stax set with a smaller circle and then again with a larger circle on some Lawn Fawn Chocolate Bar cardstock. I used the new MFT All Lined Up Background stamp using Distress Oxide Ground Espresso ink.
I adhered my inked background to my card base using foam adhesive and added my colored image on top also using foam adhesive. I heat embossed my sentiment from the same stamp set Little Buddies, using Lawn Fawn white embossing powder on the new Fishtail Flag Trio die from My Favorite Things. This might be my new favorite die because of the 3D banner and you can arrange to fit your needs! It's so awesome!! I applied using foam adhesive directly under my colored image. I added some Pretty Pink Posh clear droplets for a little extra detail.
I hope you enjoyed this card!! It definitely holds dear to my heart! Make sure you stop by the shop to pick up these goodies and some older goodies you may have had your eye on! But while you are there make sure to check out all the new products in the shop...she has everything!!
See you next Tuesday!
Have a fabulous day!! xoxoxox
