Coffee Cuties Card

Hello there!  Audrey here with my last post as guest designer for the month of December!  For my card today, I pulled out some adorable coffee themed products from Sugar Pea Designs!  To create this card, I started out with a piece of Kraft cardstock cut to 4" x 5.25".  I diecut all of the pieces from the Coffee Cuties die se t out of various colors of cardstock, then added depth with Distress Oxide and some white gel pen accents.  I placed the coffee cuts about where I wanted them and used the Trinity Stamps Seasonal Winds stencil to add some steam coming from the cups, splattered the panel with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, then popped the cups up with foam tape.  The sentiment is a combination of a stamped sentiment from the Brew-tiful Sentiments stamp set and diecut word from the Whole Latte Words die set .  Under the cups, I added some coffee beans using the Cool Beans stencil and a tiny coffee bean stamp from the Brew-tiful Sentiments stamp set .  Then, I ink blended

Singing in the Rain Card!

Hi there everyone!  Linda  here today on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog with a fun new card! I created this fun card using the amazing  Singing in the Rain  stamp set from Hello Bluebird! I started this card with a white card base in A2 size and then added a front panel, which I diecutted from white cardstock with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle die. I love the amazing borders stitched dies give! I stamped all the amazing images from the stamp set and then masked them to keep them clean before started blending a background.  I blended a rainy background on this piece, just using  Black Soot  Distress Oxide ink and a cloud stencil.  I added loads of white splatters and then removed the masking paper. I coloured all the fun images with bright colours, using Copic Markers. Wishing You Showers of Joy! Thanks for watching, hope to see you next time!

Christmas card with die-namics of MFT

Hello crafty friends! Here Laura, today I show you this christmas card made with the " Christmas lights die-namics " of MFT . You can find it in the Butterflyreflectionink store 😉 To start with, I cut the lights in different colors of cardstock . For the background I used a Christmas paper and vellum to give prominence to the lights and make them stand out more!!  And finally I prepared the composition and glued all the pieces with Flitter Glu to make the result more durable! 😉 I used the technique in which the glue is not seen and consists of putting it only where there is an object in the decoration, so the result is better finished. I hope you like it! Remember that you can find all these products and many more in the Butterflyreflectionink store !!  Thanks for your attention and see you in another post!

Hello Card

Hi Crafty Friends! Stephanie here with my last card for this DT term. I can't believe how fast and how amazing these past 4 months have been! Today, I'm sharing a Hello card using Pinkfresh Studio and Honey Bee Stamps .  I started by cutting some white cardstock down to A2 card size. I then put the card in my Misti Tool and stamped the pretty flower border from the Pinkfresh Studio Charming Floral Border stamp set. I colored in the stamp with Copic markers. It's hard to see in the picture, but I also added in a shadow outline in N0 Copic to add a little dimension.  When I finished coloring, I moved on to the sentiment. I stamped the small sentiment from the same Charming Floral stamp set in clear Versamark and embossed it with white Ranger Embossing Powder .  I then stamped the hello from the Honey Bee Stamps Bitty Buzzwords set. I just love this set because it's so versatile! I popped up the hello with some foam adhesive and glued down the 2nd sentiment flat. I

Have a Yeti New Year!

Hello crafty friends! Today is my last post for this DT term and I am so sad! It has been such an honor to be part of this design team and I had so much fun creating cards for you these past four months! I am so grateful for Vanessa giving me this opportunity and I appreciate all of you for your support and encouragement! *hugs!* For my last card, I have a Happy New Year card featuring Mama Elephant's Me and My Yeti . I have always wanted to try creating a bokeh background and thought it would be the perfect backdrop for the yeti as he rings in the new year. I masked off part of the card and then used a lot of Distress Oxides ( picked raspberry , salvaged patina , cracked pistachio , wilted violet , chipped sapphire , black soot ). Then I stenciled on the bokeh circles with white pigment ink . I cut out the panel with Mama Elephant's Cloud Nine die. I cut out "2022" from silver glitter cardstock and black cardstock using Concord & 9th's Tall Type Numbers . I

Skating Penguins with Leontine

Hello! How are you all doing? I hope you had/have a lovely Christmas? Today I'm back on the blog with a wintery card using the totally adorable penguins from Mama Elephant. You can find the products I used in the shop and I will link them for you as well.   First I stamped four penguins from Penguins Go Skating and the sentiment from Tree Picking on some copic friendly paper that I cut as a semi slimline with my paper trimmer. I used my Misti to help me ink the stamps three times on the same spot to get nice black outlines with the MFT Extreme Black ink pad . Once those stamps were done I added the penguin with earmuffs super close to the penguin on the left, so it looks like they are skating together.  I was left with a very empty canvas, that was ready to be colored. It always scares me a little, because I know how I want it to look, but I'm not always sure I can pull it off. But, baby steps help right? So I grabbed my Copic Sketch Markers and started coloring the pengui

Merry Christmas Card by Sara Zoppi

Hi BRI friends, Merry Christmas everyone! Sara here! Today it’s my turn on the BRI blog and I’m here to show my inspiration for the December BRI Mood Board. This is a perfect palette for Winter cards, I really love those cold colors mixed with silver. But since today it’s THAT day, the most important of the Holiday Season, I wanted to create a Christmas card. And this is my inspiration! I must admit I recently saw a bokeh patterned paper that was my inspiration for this card. So I couldn’t resist to create my own version, using the colors of the Mood Board. I used blending brushes and Distress Oxide Inks in Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Tumbled Glass, Pine Needles and Shabby Shutters. I applied a layer of colors, with a really soft hand.    I then used some nesting dies to create circles with masking paper and I applied a few, added another layer of color (image 1) and then I added other circles (image 2: some of them overlap). I repeated the process until I was happy with the effec

Merry Christmas Card by Audrey Tokach

Hello friends!  Happy Christmas Eve to those who celebrate!  Audrey here with another project to share as guest designer for the month of December!  I have a card to share using stamps from another favorite company of mine, Paperie Ink!  To create my card, I started off by stenciling the Watercolor Wash Square Stencil from My Favorite Things onto a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of white cardstock using Distress Oxide inks in Shabby Shutters , Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo.  I stamped images from several Paperie Ink stamp sets , including Santa Baby , Like Christmas , and My Pawliday , and colored them with my Copic markers.  Then, I fussy cut them with my scissors, and arranged my little scene, adhering some elements flat with a glue pen and popping some up for dimension.  Under the scene, I added a strip of striped patterned paper, and a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Offset Sayings Christmas stamp set .  To finish off my card, I added a scattering of Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes around

Camping Critters Card!

Hi there crafters!  Linda  here today with a fun slimline card! Have you all seen the amazing  Camping Critters  stamp set from Avery Elle in the  store ? I just love this amazing set, the camping critters with there smores are just so adorable! I started this card with a slimline card base from white cardstock and added a piece of patterned paper on the front of my card. I then diecutted a piece of white cardstock with a slimline stitched rectangle and started working on a fun background on there for the cute images.  I stamped a treeline and some clouds and then blended the sky using  Mermaid Lagoon  ink from Ranger, and the grass using  Mowed Lawn ,  Twisted Citron  and  Peeled Paint  Distress Oxide ink. I diecutted two of those pieces with  grass dies , to add a few layers and depth to my card. I then added all the fun images from the set and a sentiment on the bottom. I also added some mushrooms and flowers, which you will find in the  Beary Good Friends  and  Look how Big  stamp

Have a Really Cool Christmas Card

Hi Crafty Friends! Stephanie here with a new mini slimline shaker Christmas card!  I have been wanting to try making a full shaker card and a mini slimline, so I combined them! I started with the largest of Lawn Fawn's new Large Mini Slimline Stackables dies. I die cut one slimline card base from white cardstock and one from white glitter cardstock to use as snow later. I then ink blended the sky with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide . I added in some snow and stars to the sky with Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust Paste  with a stencil. While the paste was drying, I colored the stamped images. I stamped the car and tiny deer from the Car Critters and Car Critters Christmas Add-Ons sets. The cute Yeti and trees are from the Yeti or Not . All the images are colored with Copic markers.  I took the glitter cardstock mini slimline I die cut earlier and used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders to make snow drifts on either side of the card. In the middle of the card, where the card will go, I

Lawn Fawn Christmas Pop Up Box Card

Hello there, crafty friends! I have a pop up box card today that features Lawn Fawn's Joy to All ! One of my favorite moments of Christmas over these past couple of years is when my kids open the gifts they bought for each other, so that was the inspiration for this card. Except we don't have a dog but that doggie was too cute not to add 😂 I stamped and colored images from Joy to All , Furry and Bright , and Cheery Christmas (Copic colors listed below). I added a few white gel pen details and tiny adhesive pearls for ornaments.  I used Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up dies and paper from Lawn Fawn's Snow Day collection  to create the pop up box card. The sentiment was stamped from Toboggan Together and Joy to All (I used chili pepper ink ). I added snowflakes from different Lawn Fawn sets using mermaid ink to finish off the sentiment panel. Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season! Copic markers: Kids: E000, E00, E0

Tis the Ski-son Card

Hi there! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a card that was inspired by the gorgeous winter-y Mood Board for December ! **swoon** such beautiful colors!F For my card I used a combination of Paperie Ink Stamp Sets ! I stamped the images from Snow Good and Ski On and then colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! Once everything was dry, I fussy cut the images out! I used the Stitched Mountain Borders from Lawn Fawn to create the background. I kept the dies all in white, and then placed them on top of a Fog Cardstock card base! I haaaaaad to add some sparkle, so I used the Chunky Glitter from Lawn Fawn and LOVE how that looks on the mountain tops! I also die cut out the banner with vellum , and used some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and very lightly added color to the back of the banner! LOVE that ice blue! I heat embossed the sentiment and it was complete! Hope the card made you smile! ~ Samantha

Warm Holiday Hugs with Davina

Hello crafty friends! Davina here with some winter BRI Moodboard color inspiration for you today. I used the beautiful cool-toned colors of the December Moodboard, and tons of Mama Elephant goodies, to create this fun scene. The colors this month are Ice Blue, Classic Blue, Greenery, and Sparkling Silver. They are the perfect combination for all of the winter scenery. All of the items used are available in the Butterfly Reflections Ink online store.  I was so excited to pull out my Mama Elephant products and create a Holiday card with these colors. I knew I wanted to use my  Arch Snow Globe  die set, and looked for some arctic stamp sets to combine. I’ve always loved the  Me and my Yeti  stamp set and I thought the cute penguins from the  Little Penguin Agenda  set would go well together.  I stamped and colored my images before cutting them out with the coordinating die sets. Next, I added white dot highlights and some glittery sparkle with a  W

No Peeking Card by Audrey Tokach

Hello friends! Audrey here! I am back today with my second post as guest designer for December! My card today uses products from Honey Bee Stamps and Lawn Fawn ! To create my card, I started off by diecutting a piece of kraft cardstock, cut to 4" x 5.25" with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake Backdrop . Then, I used it over completely with Lawn Fawn Yeti Ink , and splattered the background with watered down white acrylic paint. I added a snowy hill by diecutting a piece of white cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside dies . I stamped a few images from the Merry Little Mice stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps . colored them with Polychromos colored pencils, and fussy cut them with my scissors. I popped them up on the hillside, and stamped a sentiment from the Honey Bee Merry Christmouse stamp set onto a banner diecut. I matted the panel with a piece of gingham paper from my stash, and added a snippet under the sentiment too. To finish off my card, I ad

Warm Hugs Card!

Hi there!  Linda  here today on the Butterfly Reflections Ink with a fun new slimline card! I used the amazing  Warm Hugs  stamp set for this fun card from Heffy Doodle! I just love these fun eskimo's! I started this card with a white card base in slimline size. I then added a front panel to my card, which was diecutted with a stitched slimline rectangle die, which gives such a nice border! I left this card to be a one layer card, so I started with stamping my images. I stamped the eskimo's first and then masked them with masking paper, so I could let all the other images fall right behind them. I also stamped all the other images, to start blending a fun background. I used  Cracked Pistachio  and  Peacock Feathers  Distress Oxide ink from Ranger to blend with. After blending I added loads of splatters to make it more fun. I then removed the masking paper and coloured all my images with Copic Markers. I added the fun sentiment from the text to finish this card with!   Thank you

Christmas card with "Oh gnomie tree" stamps of Mama Elephant

Hello crafty friends! Here Laura, today I show you this christmas card made with the " Oh gnomie tree " stamps of Mama Elephant . You can find it in the Butterflyreflectionink store 😉 To start with, I stamped the gnomies with " Detail black hybrid ink pad " and then painted it with Copic markers . Then i used the "oh gnomie tree" creative cuts to cut it. This time I wanted to use colors that were not typical of Christmas and I think it was very funny! 🤩 For the background I used distress oxide inks " Shaded lilac ", " Punk Flamingo " and " Spun sugar " and I made some splashes with white watercolor . And finally I prepared the composition and glued all the pieces with Flitter Glu to make the result more durable! 😉  I hope you like it! Remember that you can find all these products and many more in the Butterflyreflectionink store !!  Thanks for your attention and see you next week with another post!
