Enjoy the Little Things

The only part of Mondays I like is this part, sharing my projects with YOU!!  I guess it's one of those "little things" I enjoy.  How was that for an introduction??! hahaha :) Todays card features a stamp set from Newton's Nook called  Happy Little Thoughts .  This set is SO sweet!  It's full of wreath images, flowers, leaves and sentiments in the most beautiful fonts!!  What's also great about it, is it has  Co-ordinating Dies !!!  I'm a huge fan of co-ordinating dies..another one of those "little things". I used the most floral wreath in the set and stamped in onto to some smooth white cardstock using  Memento Tuxedo Black  ink.  The images are fairly small, so only one color of marker is necessary to color.  I never really have a plan in my head when it comes to my cards, I usually will focus on the main image and start from there (which is why most of the time, I never have room for a sentiment!) After I die cut the wreath, I sat and loo

We Wish You A Merry Christmas!

Hello! Emily Midgett here with you today as a guest for the wonderful Vanessa at Butterfly Reflections Ink! I'm so thrilled to be back here with you, and I have a super festive and fun watercolored card to share with you today, so let's get started! First let's talk about the watercolor panel. I used Winnie and Walter's In Bloom: Elsa's Florals stamps to create a background using Versafine ink and clear embossing powder. With some super simple masking (like, I stamped one of the poinsettias on masking paper and used it repeatedly), I was able to create some pretty little mini-bouquets of holiday flowers and foliage. After I had stamped everything to my satisfaction, I used my Zig markers and a wet paintbrush to color the festive florals.  I didn't want to cover up my painstakingly watercolored background, so I stamped the gorgeous greeting from the Merry and Bright stamp set, also from Winnie and Walter, onto some thin vellum and heat embossed i

Birthday Sloth

Hi peeps! Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving with your love ones. And, hope you score some good deals on Friday?? I spent my Friday working. This year, we received breaking record amount of cards for Caring Hearts Card Drive and honestly, none of us were prepared. Based on previous years result, we definitely never expecting the amount that we got this year. Needless to say we all working like crazy to get thousands of cards sort & pack for the nursing home. We are so overloaded that we haven't finish counting all the cards, but we have at least 42,000 cards. Now that I get that little update out, let's get on with my card for today. I love sloth. I think they have the sweetest smiling face. So, of course I have to have MFT Sweet Sloths  stamp set along with its matching dies . For the circle opening, I used MFT Peek A Boo Circle Windows . I think this card is just ooze with sweetness, don't you think? I finished the card with some Nuvo Cry

Elf love

Hi everyone, Gladys here! Today I have this card for you using the new release from Neat and Tangled called Elfs and their shelf . The N&T releases have been amazing and always goes out of stock. These cuties are in stock right now so get them while it's still available. They also make great Christmas gift for a crafty friend.....just saying. :)   For my card today I went with the traditional Christmas colors: red and green. For the background I blended a few distress inks. I used tattered rose for the lower half of the card panel and the top half is a combination of red colors: worn lipstick and festive berries .  I colored the elfs and stockings with copic markers and cut with coordinating dies . The fireplace is from My Favorite Things cut in light kraft card stock and colored in distress inks. I added wink of stella clear glitter pen onto the elfs hats, stockings and fire. For the sentiment I heat embossed it with white embossing powder . That is all from me

Almost Touchable Bows

Hello, all! It's Lynnea and I have another Christmas card for you! First, let me wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving! Whether you are celebrating with friends and family, donating your time at a soup kitchen, getting ready for some amazing sales, or one of the poor souls that have to work ( I feel for you! I was a manager at Target for a while! ) .... I wish you the happiest of days! I have two cards to share today! But before I share them, be sure to head over to the  Butterfly Reflections, Ink shop  for 25% your order (some exclusions apply) ! The sale is all ready going on and will go through Monday! Happy shopping! I can't keep my hands off of the new  Bells and Bows stamp set  from Altenew! I love how realistic the images are! I feel like I can pick the bows right up off of the paper! I started by stamping both sizes of the bows all over the card bases. I used 3 colors of green and 3 colors of red...although my lightest color for the red bow is actually a v

You Warm My Heart

Good morning everyone! I hope you're all having a great week. It's a short week for me because of Thanksgiving, and I'm so  looking forward to spending time with family, great food and maybe a little shopping :) But today I have a fun wintery card to share with you all. I started by die cutting my card base with the largest stitched rectangle from the Large Stiched Stackables  from some Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used my post it tape and masked off the edges of the card base, and then I used my ink blenders to apply some Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink . I also cut a curved line from a post it to create the horizon. Next I stamped the penguin from the   Beary Merry  stamp set and the Into The Woods stamp set-both from Neat & Tangled-on Bristol Smooth cardstock and colored them in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens . I cut both images out and glued them to the card panel with some Tombo Mono Liquid Glue.  I took a sentiment from the Altenew

Tangled Lights

Almost a month until Christmas! I'm not ready, not by any means. We'll be putting up our tree this weekend, and I am sure that I will quite look like this little Yeti by the end of the trimming... Karen B. here from The Bald Dragonfly , and I'm so happy that I got to ink up the cute Beast Friends Stamp Set from My Favorite Things . I used a lavender ink  for stamping and Copics for coloring the Yeti, and cut him out using the coordinating Beast Friends Die-Namics . I inked up a light green card base with some snowflakes from Lawn Fawn's Making Frosty Friends Stamp Set , and then a white panel with some lights from Cheery Christmas Stamp Set . (I hand drew the strands.) Before adhering the bulb panel to the card base, I added some gray splatters and covered the bulbs with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops . To finish the card, I created some sentiment panels with the sentiment white heat embossed, and added the Nuvo Drops to the bulbs that the yeti wrapped him

Poppy Stamps Poinsettia Peace

Happy Monday (ugh)!!   Laurie  here to share a very golden and very simple Christmas card.  I ordered the  Poinsettia Peace  stamp set awhile ago and decided to use it for my project today.  I adore these small stamp sets from Poppy Stamps.  They are always so cute and unique AND affordable!!!  They often have matching die sets, but this particular set does not. I started by lining the "peace" sentiment up on a piece of 3.5 X 5.5 inch piece of kraft cardstock.  Using my Mini Misti, I was able to stamp the sentiment perfectly by simply sliding the cardstock either up or down using the grid paper.  This would have been an impossible task for me before that tool!!  I used  Versamark  ink and heat embossed with  Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder . It looked a little plain, so I coloured in the letters using a red marker and also swiped the Versamark pad along the edges and added some more embossing powder. For the poinsettia, I gold heat embossed it, as well as

Pool Noodle Hockey Layout

Hello and good morning! Samantha here with you today, and I'm sharing a super FUN and BRIGHT scrapbook page! Ha! It's definitely bold, and definitely, mixed media (lite!), so let's dive in!! :) I started this layout with a white piece of cardstock and an idea! I used a black ink pad , a blending tool and did some masking with two pieces of computer paper to create the triangles! Once the triangles were done, I started with my neon watercolor! I used gelatos for this, but you could JUST AS EFFECTIVELY use the AWESOME Hero Arts Neon Ink pads! ! *swoon* I layered 'all the things!' under and around my photo! Ha! I used various Amy Tangerine papers from 6x6 pads , pieces from the Better Together Acetate Ephemera and some really old dimensional stickers ! Ha! I also used the rubber charm ampersand from Dear Lizzy Saturday collection ! I combined the Dear Lizzy Saturday Petals Chipboard Thickers and some black letter stickers from Elle's Studio to

Jumping with joy for you

Hi everyone Gladys here! I hope you're all having a great Friday. I'm back with this interactive card using MFT products (surprise!). I'm going to miss fall season so I made this card.      I used the Jumping with Joy stamp set from My Favorite Things. I cut my card panel with  Wonky Stitched rectangle on white cardstock. For my background I randomly stamped the leaves and colored them with copic markers in soft warm colors. I also did the same coloring on the girl and cut it with the coordinating die . I needed something to anchor the girl so I cut a brown cardstock using the circle scallop frame . I  glued the frame right on the center of my card panel then adhered the girl using a mini action wobble  so it looks like she's jumping on a pile of leaves. That completes my card for today I hope you enjoy. I will be back next week with another card. Till then have a fantastic weekend!!

Small (ish) Square Card Set

Hey there, everyone! It's Lynnea! I have a cute little card set to share with you today! I'm doing my very first craft fair in a few weeks, so I need to bulk up my card stash! Making duplicates is (obviously) a quick way to do that. It's super easy to make multiples of cards once I have a design in mind and all of my supplies out on the table! These cards are super duper simple! I made 4 card bases from heavy weight cardstock that are 4.25" square. I die cut some 4" squares from different designs of the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid  papers using the largest die from Lawn Fawn's  Small Stitched Square Stackables . Then I put 3 of the 4 (the x's, dots, and dashes) dies together from Lawn Fawn's  Stitched Borders  to decorate my background a little bit more. I wanted to use the  Friends for All Seasons: Spring  stamp set from WPlus9. These pandas are just the cutest and I fount this set hiding out in the back of my stamp bin. I know it&#

Merry Christmas

Good morning everyone! It's Cassie here, and I hope you're all having a great Wednesday. I'm back with another holiday card for you. Today's card uses some fun dies and a holiday stamp set to make a unique card. I started the way I start a lot of my cards, and die cut the largest stitched rectangle from the Lawn Fawn set Stitched Rectangle Stackables . I die cut it from Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then I ink blended some Candied Apple and Brushed Corduroy onto the rectangle. Each color took up roughly half the panel. I saw someone use these colors together and really loved it! It did not disappoint. I spritzed the paper with my Distress Sprayer and dabbed the water with a paper toweling. I wanted it to have a very messy look.     Then I took a sentiment from the Joy to the World stamp set from Hero Arts and stamped it in VersaMark in the center of the panel. I heat embossed it in white embossing powder . I love this stamp set because it has such a pretty font

The Toy Shelf

The holidays are getting closer and closer...and my children are circling their favorites in catalogs and spending a lot of time perusing the toy aisles in anticipation of what might arrive under the tree.  Karen B. from The Bald Dragonfly  here today, bringing a cute card inspired by a child's toy shelf I started with a turquoise card base with the fold to the left, rather than the top. I then die cut a white scalloped border and the "shelf" from MFT's Die-namics Blueprint #27 from white cardstock. (I love the sweet stitching and dainty scallops of this versatile die set!-how about you?) I then stamped, Copic colored and die cut the little girl and stuffed bear from Neat & Tangled's Better Together Stamp Set and dies . I also added some "stuffed toys" from Lawn Fawn's Cheery Christmas Stamp Set . (There are dies for these too, however, I fussy cut these images with a white border.) I tucked all the toys in the shelves, and the

Let It Snow with Honeybee Stamps

Hello Everyone!!  Laurie  here to share a card I made using stamps from HoneyBee Stamps.  I actually made three cards with this set and had a hard time choosing which one to post!!! I used the  Flakey Friends Stamp Set  as well as  Flakey Sentiments .  The Flakey Sentiments set has a ton of mix and match sentiments that go well with the Flakey Friends set.  But they also will work on their own!!  I love that about the sentiment sets from HoneyBee Stamps. I started by stamping and colouring the bear image, scarf, toque (yes, toque. I'm Canadian, eh?) and coffee cup.  I also die cut a couple of clouds from the  Sunshine Layer Dies  from WPlus9.  My plan changed fairly drastically.  I only ended up using the scarf, the bear and the toque.  The set has an adorable toboggan (sled), so I decided to use that!! I used the  Stitched Mini Scallop Oval Dies  from MFT and while the cardstock was still in the die, I blended some blue Distress Ink.  This left the scallops white giving

Elf Shaker Card

Hi peeps. Vera here. As Caring Hearts Card Drive is going on in full swing, I keep working on building my Christmas card stash as well. You still have about a couple more weeks to send in your cards. So far, we have about 3500 cards in and I hope you will help us in getting more. :) For my card today, I reached for this cute MFT Santa Elves set with its matching dies .  I love coloring this cute elf. He's just so adorable! To make the shaker card, I used MFT Die-namics Peek A Boo Circle Windows  and did partial cutting and apply the same partial cutting with the elf dies as well. Here's a close up look oft he shaker part. Finished by adding shimmer to the ornament and the hat's bell with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen  and some pretty sequins. Well peeps, that's all from me today. May your weekend be filled with things that brighten and lift up your spirit.

We're Better Together

Good morning everyone, Happy Friday! Gladys here to share this card with you today. For my card I used the Harvest Buddies stamp set from My Favorite Things.    As with most of my card panels I colored it with Ranger distress inks. I blended the colors: abandoned coral , antique linen, twisted citron , and mowed lawn . I add drops of water then picked it up with paper towel. I let the card panel dry then die cut it with  Inside and Out stitched rectangle  to create a frame for my scene. Using my mini MISTI I stamped my sentiment in the center with Memento Tuxedo Black ink .      I colored all the images with copic markers then cut using the coordinating dies . I decided to add more texture on the grass so I randomly flick light to dark shades of green copic markers. I've seen this technique a few times and I think the result looks really cool so I wanted to give it a shot. To assemble my card I adhered foam tapes onto the frame and images for dimension. That i

Little Baby Jesus

Hey, there! It's Lynnea! And guess what?! I have another Christmas card to share with all of you! I know I can't get enough Christmas inspiration this time of year! I'm using the cutest set from Neat & Tangled and you can get it for yourself in the  Butterfly Reflections, Ink Shop! I started with a white card base and did some Distress inking with  Wilted Violet  and  Seedless Preserves . I made the inking darker at the center and lighter on the edges. I stamped out my manger from the  Little Baby Jesus  stamp set from Neat & Tangled twice using some  Memento Tuxedo Black  ink and colored the images in with various colors of  Copic markers . I used the matching  Little Baby Jesus Dies  to cut out the manger, but I fussy cut the actual baby right up against the outline edge. As a final touch to my card base, I flicked on some gold paint and some water mixed with Perfect Pearls. I used the coordinating dies to cut some stars out of gold glitter paper

Practically Purr-fect

Good morning, everybody! I hope you're all having a great day! It's Cassie here, and I've got another card to share with you. I've been feeling like I need a little break from holiday cards, so today's card was a purr-fect distraction. :)  What's better than cats and crafting? Am I right? I started off by stamping the ( adorable ) cat image from Neat & Tangled's Kitty's Favorite Things stamp set all over a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I stamped the cutie with VersaFine On yx Black Ink. I used this because I wanted to heat emboss the kitties, but I didn't want to use black embossing powder. I never have good luck with black embossing powder. So instead I used the VersaFine and some clear embossing powder, and it works like a dream! I filled in some of the background using the same technique stamping the little heart in the set. Next I took out my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and colored in the kittens and the background. I lo

Bluebird Birthday Wishes

I am a sucker for bluebirds. They hold a special place in my heart and I knew I had to ink up the bird from Wplus9's All Year Cheer Stamp Set in blue and orange when this stamp set made it's way to my crafty desk.  Karen B. here from The Bald Dragonfly , I have a fun and cute card today showcasing stamps and dies from a mix of companies that are available at   the shop ! To create my focal scene, I inked up a soft background with peach and yellow inks onto a white cardstock circle. (I was trying to replicate the transition from summer to fall, therefore I strayed away from the blue sky and vibrant green leaves.) I then stamped the branch and leaves from  Wplus9's All Year Cheer Stamp Set , as well as the bird in various colors of ink. I then bordered the image with  Waffle Flower's Flowers Circle Inverted Dies . This was adhered to a peach cardstock panel and a white cardstock base. I added a strip of die cut grass, similar to MFT's Die-Namics Grassy Fields

Cute Gnome Hugs

Hello everyone!!   I'm  back to share a sweet card I made that involves a little watercolour and some coloured pencil colouring.  Two things I haven't done in awhile, it seems!! I started with a piece of  Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper  and my  Gansai Tambi Watercolor Set .  I do not use these paints enough!!  They are amazing!!!  Super creamy and awesomely vibrant.  If you've been  on the fence about purchasing these paints, you should give them a try, you won't be disappointed.  Ok, sales pitch is done :) I chose some bright and happy colors, a yellow, pink, green and dark blue.  After loading my wet brush with paint, I painted simple lines down the front of my paper. Ground breaking, isn't it?  I let this air dry while I worked on my images and sentiment.  I used the completely adorable  Whimsical Gnomes  stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  I stamped everything with my  Mini Misti .  I used coloured pencils in similar shades of the paint to colour
