A to Z Challenge 2020 Theme

It has been a while since I have been here on the blog but I decided that since I was home and unable to do much else I would throw down for the A to Z Challenge this year.  I know that I have tried specific themes in the past, usually reading related but themes very much seem to hold me back. This year my theme is random, literally, I went to randomwordgenerator.com and put in the letters and picked the first word that came up.  It has made for an interesting list, one that has come up with a lot of topics for posts that will hopefully inspire myself writing them and anyone reading them this year. I know that we are all going through varying degrees of tough times right now but we need to find the bright spots when and where we can. I look forward to reading everyone's blogs in April. Melissa

A to Z Challenge 2017: Theme Reveal

Not that long ago I was in a huge panic, I had a theme for the challenge this year but I had done none of the work and only had one post written and scheduled.  I blame my son who gave me the flu and then took off on a March Break adventure.  Leaving me to fend for myself sick.  (was not pretty) Flash forward a few days though and I was feeling better but still pretty tired so I spent a whole night in bed reading which gave me a huge bump forward so I decided to keep my theme sort of.  It was going to be me reading through a series for every letter of the alphabet and reviewing each book. Instead I just went with what came up again, some are a single book, some are multiple books, some are novellas.  All are off the jungle that is my kindle.  Man that thing is too full of books, I could read two a day for the next ten years and not be through it.  Yet I keep adding more....I have a problem. That does not even count the books I read with Kindle Unli...

A to Z Challenge Theme 2015

Image
It's that time of year once again for the A to Z Challenge.  I didn't finish last year and for that I hang my head in shame.  This year however I prepared well in advance and I am good to go. Without further ado my 2015 theme is: That's right, I learned five new words for every letter of the alphabet and I am sharing them with you. It's always a good idea to expand your vocabulary, that's why word of the day calendars are so popular.  In fact, that's where I got the idea. I hope everyone learns at least a couple new words.  See you on the other side!

This Year's A to Z Challenge Theme

When I signed up to do the A to Z challenge this year I completely forgot that I was going to be away for almost the entire first week of the challenge....eek!  With that in mind I decided to go with a slightly less research heavy topic than the one I was holding over from last year.  Which makes me a little sad because I really wanted to do it but really excited because instead I am going to talk about something that really presses on my mind all the time. My theme for this year is going to be a person, place or thing list of stuff I have always wanted to write about.  I don't know about you but I have entire notebooks and tons of scraps of paper everywhere with words, phrases and sentences on them of stuff that popped into my head that I thought would make a good story.  Or at least a good jumping point for a story. So I have decided to make an alphabetical list of them and put a little research into them, with the hope that next year's A to Z will feature shor...
