My favourite holiday is Halloween.  I love dressing up and seeing the kids so excited to go out and interact with the community.  I love making up little packages to give out. I wear two costumes at least every year.  One for work and one to take the kids out trick or treating. I also love to see the house that really go all out decorating for Halloween.

There's nothing like something to look forward to celebrating every day.  Especially at this time of year when there's less daylight and you feel like the day is just dragging on. So there are some pretty silly holidays out there and every day is a chance to celebrate something weird and wonderful.  I am a big fan of the silly and weird and of celebrating in general because as I have learned repeatedly over the last few years, life is short and can end any minute. So part of my goals for 2014 was to blog more (which I have totally blown so far by getting sick and faltering during the A to Z Challenge which I will finish, eventually.) and as part of that I am going to incorporate posts about stuff I find interesting.  So monthly holiday posts are in.
