I am really enjoying getting through my swap surprises, there's nothing quite like getting a new little surprise every day.  On December 11 I unwrapped stationary: On December 12 I unwrapped a London snowflake ornament for my tree: On December 13 I unwrapped some taffy like candies: On December 14 I unwrapped a paper star which now rests on my tree: On December 15 I unwrapped this super awesome bracelet: On December 16 I unwrapped chocolates: I am a few days behind on my unwrapping due to the craziness of the pre-holiday life and December work schedule.  I plan on catching up tonight though.  It does keep me super happy and in the holiday spirit.  

I have been lucky enough to participate in some really awesome swaps through the  International Geek Girl Pen Pals Club  but so far this has been one of my favourites.  The premise was you got a partner and you exchanged a small gift to unwrap for each of the 31 days of December.  Like an Advent calender. I recently participated in a swap over at the  International Geek Girl Pen Pals Club  that I was super excited about.  Now, I know I get pretty excited about all of them because I love getting mail, and I love sending mail, and I really love putting stuff together that will hopefully make people happy.  This one however was for tea and well that's right up there with books, stickers and craft supplies as far as my addictions go.  (over the top) This wonderful package is from Alex, a fellow Canadian. This yummy package came from MsDuh, and came equipped with snacks for the tea.  The teas included were Everyday Wellness Tea and Siberian Fireball Tea both by  Lind's Blends  on Etsy and Cinnamon Plum Tea from  Spice and Tea .  I am super in love with the matching card and pencil, so adorable. Slowly but surely I am catching up on my blogging, and posting random stuff in between.  I feel positive about getting on track and getting stuff out into the world.  Now to find and dump my camera for all the ComiCon and Cuba pictures. Like most people I love to be spoiled on my birthday but this year I got the crazy idea to go away so I really didn't get very much of that.  So you can imagine my surprise when I got this super awesome package in the mail from my pen pal Anna.  (I shouldn't have been surprised, she is rather awesome) Check out that card, how awesome is that card? Turquoise butterfly wrapping paper...how full of happy is that? Clearly she gets me. And chocolate that smells SO GOOD!  I am saving it for Friday night and my Diablo 3 marathon. Wow, my first month back and I am a day late posting, not a good start.  I would love to say I have a great excuse for it but the truth is I just got so caught up in my spring cleaning yesterday that I forgot.  Anyhow, my post today is a double post because the best book I read in April was also my book swap book from February. As you may have heard if you have been around here for a bit I belong to a lovely group called  The International Geek Girls Pen Pals Club .  Along with acquiring myself an awesome  pen pal  or two, I have joined some pretty awesome swaps.  Which of course feed my favorite addictions, stickers, postcards, and books.  Yay books!
