My Creatively Random Life

Currently.... It's been a while since I have posted one of these for you guys.  I miss it, updating you on all the random things that I have going on.  I am hoping to have the time to get it up and going again. As well as the rest of my blog since I have been neglecting it just a wee bit. Loving... It's almost fall again, the weather is cooling down, I can wear boots everyday and jackets and hoodies.  This is my best time of year.  I was given both new boots and a new hoodie recently so I will be wearing the heck out of both. Reading... Right now I am reading The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection From the Living Dead by Max Brooks and listening to Chainfire by Terry Goodkind on Audible. Watching... Right now I am binge watching a lot of Criminal Minds and Supernatural while I study.  Not sure what works for you but I am on fire with my marks so I am going to keep it going for now. Making... Currently.... I have not done a currently post in ages and I thought now would be a good time to revive them as I have got a lot going on and have been blogging a lot more. Loving... Getting more exercise out in the fresh air walking Miss Cat to camp every morning.  It feels great and we enjoy the time together. Reading... Hmm, right this second I do not have a book on the go.  Weird.  Usually I have three or four.  I was just contemplating rereading Ready Player One because I saw a teaser photo from the movie this morning and got all excited about it. Watching... Cat and I have been binge watching Full House on Netflix because Ace is away and we can watch whatever we want.  We are just at the end of Season Five. Listening To... Over the course of the holiday season so far I picked up some fantastic cups and bottles and I am in love with them all.  I purchased on a whim a new water bottle from the impulse buys in the line at Winners and it is the best I have ever had, keeps water super cold and doesn't leak.  I received a tea strainer bottle from my bosses and it is my new addiction and my darling coworker got me a tea strainer cup which is perfect for reading at home.  So easy to hydrate right now. Reading... I was lucky enough that Santa brought me lots of books for Christmas.  Right now I am reading The Accidental Tourist by Anne Tyler.  These three are up next: Watching... That the weather is cooling down and I can start pulling out pants, long sweaters and boots.  It's a whole wardrobe change and it feels great. Reading... Work has had me too tired to read lately, I have been so behind on all the reading.  I just finished a really great book, There Once Were Stars by Melanie McFarlane and I have other books that I want to start reading but when I get home I am so brain dead because we are changing systems that I just stare at the TV and play My Little Pony. Watching... Right now I am rewatching Gilmore Girls, almost at the end of Season Three.  I am hoping that I can hold out to finish the rewatch in time to be ready for the new ones. Listening To... Currently.... I was reading  Jamie Morrow's  Currently every week and I always wanted to hop on board because it seemed like such a fun way to keep you guys updated on the stuff going on in my life so here I am. Loving... A friend braided my hair for me a couple of weeks ago and I am loving not having to deal with what to do with it every day.  I am going to be so sad when I take it out. Reading... I have been reading Cidney Swanson's Ripple Series.  I really liked it in the beginning and then I didn't and no I am not sure but I can't stop reading because I need to know where she is going with what she has done with the story. Watching... I FINALLY watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two.  I never wanted to watch the last movie because the second last one was so sad that I just couldn't bring up my courage. (so pathetic, I have read the book at least 15 times)  Listening To... Still listening to A ...

Having the desire to blog again, now if only I had the time to get to some of the longer posts that I want to get up.  Reading... Still working on Immortal Flame by Jillian David which was my first ever Goodreads win.  I have read a few books in between for reviews that I have promised which is why it is taking so long.  I so rarely read for just pleasure anymore. Watching... I have been too busy to watch television all week but we took the kids to see The BFG last weekend (mostly because Finding Dory was sold out) but it was fantastic and I highly recommend it.  Especially if you have a gap like I do with a preteen and a little one who never can agree on a movie, they both LOVED it. That Canada Day is this weekend and I will have a peaceful day off of work. Reading... I won a Immortal Flame by Jillian David from a Goodreads contest and I just started it last night. Watching... Rewatching Gilmore Girls reveing up for the new episodes coming up. Listening To... All of the Audible all of the time. Thinking About... Switching schools for my kids, they have both had a rough year and I am just done with the school that they are at. Anticipating... Going to see the Tall Ships with the kids this weekend. Wishing...   That I let go of my insecurities more often and just had fun, life is short. Making Me Happy... That my kids can socialize well with others.

The warm summerish weather and getting to be out walking everyday.  It makes for children who are less bored. Reading... Too many things, I keep volunteering to review stuff for people like I have all this time on my hands when I don't and then I am up all night reading. Plus I joined an online book cub because books. We are reading Uprooted by Naomi Novik this month, I really enjoyed it. Watching... I just started watching Breaking Bad on Netflix last week, a little late to the party but now I am super addicted.  I am already on season two which is crazy considering how little time I have for tv watching and that the kids cannot watch it. Listening To... A Game of Thrones on Audible, even though I have read...

I won two coffees on roll up the rim...life is pretty shiny right now. Reading... Right now I am reading Habored Secrets by Marie F. Martin which is a tough one to put down, I read through snuggling and watching our shows last night. Watching... At the moment I have moved on to binge watching Xena or should I say rewatching as I watched it originally when I was in high school. Listening To... Workout Pop Playlists on Google Music at the gym, because I really like hearing this song: Thinking About... It's only -6 out this morning! I didn't have to bundle up like some sort of barely moving snowsuit creature.  Plus I got in my morning walk, it was fantastic.  I am 2% to Rivendell now, I know it doesn't seem like a lot but given how cold it has been... Reading... Reading is fun, but this week I have not had a lot of time for it for some reason, the super cold has made me too sleepy I guess.  I am reading 'Becoming Us' right now, I like it but it seems to be dragging a bit now that I am close to the end. Watching... At the moment Bailey cat and I are all about curling up on the couch and streaming episodes of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.  I think Bailey has a crush on Salem... Listening To....

Right now I am reading Antler Dust by Mark Stevens, it's not something I would normally pick up to read but as I am working towards something I am just going with what fits.  I really am enjoying the book though, it's got a great feel to it.  I am usually not a fan of mystery books where the reader knows what is going on but Stevens makes it work well. Movies and sleep.  It has been so cold outside the last few days that I love nothing more than being able to curl up in bed under all the warm blankets and watch a movie.  Till I fall asleep because I never make it through a movie and Mike always has to turn them off. Reading... I am starting to do alphabetical reading for my A-Z Challenge this year, I find it pretty exciting to have a goal for my reading.  Currently I am doing W and Y, one real book and one e-book so that no matter where I am I have something to read. Watching... After seeing 'The Force Awakens' three times we are working our way through the old Star Wars movies.  We are currently in the middle of  'The Empire Strikes Back'. List...

Snow, it actually snowed here this morning.  There's none that stuck around on the ground but it is a start. Reading... I found the Vampire Academy books when our local thrift store was having a sale and I plowed through the first three over the weekend.  They are fantastic.  Can't say I want to watch the movie but I highly recommend the books. Watching... Attempting to finish off this season of Doctor Who before the Christmas special, if only work didn't get in the way. Listening To... Zombie Run at the gym. Thinking About... How we are going to get through Christmas dinner when 1/4 of our house is still not unpacked thanks to how rough the last few months have been. Anticipating... Getting all ...

Getting to spend so much time with my family over the weekend. Reading... I am reading Deep Six by Clive Cussler, it's a reread but every bit as exciting as the first time that I read it. Watching... Catching up on Doctor Who and streaming The OC. Listening To... Zombie Run for all the exercise. Thinking About... How short life is. Anticipating... Christmas . The walk with the kids to school in the morning, it's a great way to start the day. Reading... Finishing off War and Peace FINALLY. Watching... This season of Doctor Who (finally Clara get interesting!) for the most part.  Jane the Virgin here and there and movies from my childhood on Shomi.  I have discovered that my kids either really love or really hate old movies. Listening To... All of the radio because I have been living at work this week, and when this happens I discover that I am not fond of today's music.  Except this song: Despite how much the video depresses me I love this song. Thinking About... How little time there is before Christmas, when I have guests coming to stay and I STILL haven'...

Hot coffee on a cold morning, there's nothing better and Mike makes me a coffee to go every morning before work so that I can enjoy it on the walk to drop off the kids. Reading... I am reading Ready Player One again in preparation for reading Armada. I know they are not exactly related like that but that's how I like to read. Watching... Still watching Sherlock Holmes but I have now added in Jane the Virgin and rewatching Doctor Who. Listening To... 90's workout playlists at the gym.  I find nothing more inspiring right now that the music I used to listing to. Thinking About...
