Sand, Sound & Soul Review

Image
With the wedding seeming to loom closer with every day even though it's well over a year away I am jumping at every chance I get to delve into every aspect of wedding couture I can.  It's an interesting experience.  And not one that I think both parties of this engaged couple are enjoying.  As much Mike loves me I think he is getting tired of all the wedding stuff I am constantly at him with. I am very interested in doing something that involves the kids in the ceremony and makes them feel that we are moving forward together as a family.  With that in mind I was very excited to read this book. Book Summary: Discover Sand Ceremony Secrets for Creating the Best Wording, Unity Pouring Styles, and Color Palette Choices! In her ground-breaking new book, Sand, Sound & Soul: Sealing Your Wedding with a Personalized Unity Sand Ceremony , Sharon Vaz takes you on a fascinating tour of today's most unique wedding and commitment ceremony - capable of display...

Love Trap Review

Image
Synopsis: Daphne Bernstein did not like Jerusalem.  She ended up there by chance, dragging along her young daughter, her useless medical licence, her disgraceful past and her desperate hope to rebuild her life that has gone off course. In an ancient building, in the midst of a stormy winter, Daphne's life crosses paths with an alienated man and an ambiguous co-worker, who are both hiding a secret with heavy consequence.  Is this a random meeting or a sophisticated trap? Love Trap is a fascinating and unconventional story about lies, friendship and love.  It occurs in the dark and mysterious domain, between reality and distortion, created by fear and hope. Review: I found Daphne's tale to be very intriguing.  I don't usually read a lot of books that aren't fantasy or science fiction that take place outside of North America so that was refreshing for me.  Plus there was all the mystery.  I love a story that keeps me guessing at things. Every...

Express Yourself: Scariest Movie/Book

Image
The Express Yourself Weekly Meme is hosted  Bouquet Of Books  and  Entertaining Interests .  This week's topic is: what is the scariest movie/book you've watched/read? Arachnophobia is hands down the scariest movie I have ever seen.  All those spiders, just thinking about it now makes me squirm.  I scene full of spiders in any movie will make me turn my head away in any film.  Most other things I can handle but spiders turn me into a big baby.  Well,  spider and centipedes. The scariest book I have read at this point in my reading journey has probably been Pet Cemetery by Stephen King if we are going on pure creepy factor.  If we are going to go with giving one nightmares and not being able to get it out of your head I have to say A Clash of Kings by George R R Martin did it for me.
