My Creatively Random Life

Like most people I love to be spoiled on my birthday but this year I got the crazy idea to go away so I really didn't get very much of that.  So you can imagine my surprise when I got this super awesome package in the mail from my pen pal Anna.  (I shouldn't have been surprised, she is rather awesome) Check out that card, how awesome is that card? Turquoise butterfly wrapping paper...how full of happy is that? Clearly she gets me. And chocolate that smells SO GOOD!  I am saving it for Friday night and my Diablo 3 marathon. See, Fluttershy fits right in. Thanks for the package full of birthday happiness Anna!

So yesterday rather than doing the productive thing I was hoping to be doing while I was listening to the phone drone on in my ear at work.  (work on my NaNoWrMo of course) I decided to pull out a sheet of stationary and doodle on the back of it.  This happened because one of my super awesome pen pals is forever sending me letters with all these lovely drawings and I feel bad.  I mean all she gets from me is plain boring old stationary.  Maybe some stickers if I am not writing on the fly, which sadly I usually am.  I am actually quite proud of how they came out.  I mean not only can you tell what they are, they are actually quite cute.  Except the cat, that just looks kind of evil, which I suppose cats are prone to doing.

As you may be able to tell from my super awesome new badge, I have joined an awesome new club.  They are called the International Geek Girls Pen Pals Club .  The best part, I get a pen pal.  (so cool, right?) When I was a teenager I had a few pen pals, (slowly over the years we lost touch) but I thought it was an awesome experience.  It was a great way to learn about how other people live, and make new friends.  My pen pals helped me get through some very tough times in my life. Anyhow, I am very excited about getting a new pen pal. (some might say a little too excited)  I didn't manage to get my name in until round three (bummer!) so I don't officially have a pen pal yet but I have been getting prepared. I haven't gone too crazy because I don't know what my new friend to be likes yet, but I picked up some tiny ponies to send with my letter because well...they are awesome!
