ColourQ160

DSCF0128

Hey everyone!  Happy Tuesday to you….and it’s ColourQ day!  Check out this fun banner inspiration:

cqc160

These are great Halloween colors, but I went in a little bit of a different direction, taking my cue from that spooky tree:

LeAnne_CQC160

I mixed up some different stamp sets here, randomly stamping my leaf image in the challenge colors on a black tree, adding some fun embossing and a couple of buttons!  I cut down some big blingy leaf stickers my friend Martha gave me to add a little sparkly interest:

I also added a little popped-up leaf at the bottom, next to my sentiment!  I hope you are inspired to make a spooky or fun creation with these colors!  Check out the ColourQ blog to see ALL the fabulous stuff the Courtiers have created this week!  And remember, if you have any questions, just shoot me an email!

While I was sweeping the floor last week, Cassidy told me she was going to “sweep” with the dustbroom:

Great hand movement!

I didn’t have the heart to tell her I usually don’t sweep the walls and doors!

Waltzingmouse Sketch

DSCF8007
I almost forgot to post this card!  Waltzingmouse is having  a sketch challenge, so I made a card for my friend Julia.  Here is the sketch:

Waltzingmouse June 5 sketch

and here is the card:

DSCF8003

It uses Kraft, Garden Green, Confetti Cream and some Basic Grey DP; a BIG button from my stash, and the image from Blessed by You.  Sentiment is from Starving Artistamps.  I also made a faux button on which to mount my real button!  I separated the layers of cardstock on the sentiment panel so it was very thin, then rippled it a little for a wavy effect.  TFL!

Card Patterns Sketch

DSCF7884

After seeing Broni’s cute card here, I peeked at the Card Patterns Sketch blog….I don’t think I ever visited that one! The sketch was so sweet and simple, I used it to make two more quick cards that needed to go out in the mail today. First, here’s the sketch:

I did one the way the sketch shows, then flipped the other:

This one uses some LilyKate BG paper and images from Starving Artiststamps:

And this one uses a sweet little digital image from Kathy Martin, CC Garden Variety DP, and incorporates some paper piecing and coloring with Copics:

Thanks for visiting today….I think the sun is TRYING to peek out, which will improve my mood greatly!!!

Color Throwdown #89

Woohoo!  I am the hostess for today’s CTD, and these are the colors I have chosen:

swatch 89

My inspiration was some beautiful Wisteria paper from Basic Grey; so many yummy patterns from which to choose!  Be sure to check back on the CTD blog for all the participation details and play along with us…I would love to see what beautiful creations you can come up with using these colors!  And of course, they’re ALL retiring, so let’s give them some love!

I needed a get well card for a sweet friend who recently had some surgery, so this is what I made for her:

I remembered some stamps I had from Starving Artiststamps, these cute little dragonflies, and I thought they would be perfect for this card, which also uses the Unscripted Sketch #51 for this week:

US51

They are stamped in SU’s Basic Gray and colored with Copics;  I added some bling to them:

and I pierced the bottom of the card freehand, following the scallops….I thought it came out pretty good!  Oh, I added some bling there too:

And the inside, with a sentiment from Waltzingmouse:

Thanks for visiting today!  Be sure to stop by the other designers’ blogs for more creations using these colors:

If you have any questions about anything used here, please send me an email! Have a blessed day!

Mojo Sketch #124

I have not had a chance to do a Mojo Sketch for a while, so while I had my SA stamps out on my desk, I pulled some Thoroughly Modern DP out and made another card.  Here’s the sketch, #124:

and here’s the card:

And the inside:

We needed a few sympathy cards this week for a family in our church, so this was a good start for them.  Thanks for visiting today!  If you have any questions about products used here, just give me a shout.  And don’t forget about my blog candy here!!!

Color Throwdown #78

swatch 78 Broni is the CTD hostess this week with this lovely color combination!  And be sure to check the CTD blog for a sweet little surprise!!!  Feel free to play along with us, using these colors or something close….when you’ve posted it on your blog, or an online gallery, please link it with Mr Linky so we all can see what you’ve created!

I struggled at first with these images, and wasn’t really happy with my first card, so I set it aside and started again.  Despite the fact that I stamped my center sentiment a tad bit crooked, I still like it:

DSCF6643

The images and sentiments are all from Starving Artistamps; the butterflies are stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with black EP, then colored with Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky reinkers.  I stamped the “Faith Hope Love” across the Kraft Top Note with Creamy Caramel, then stamped the main sentiment in Stazon.  Some pink & blue twill “tied” it all together!  I hope you like it….now check out what the other CTD artists have come up with this week:

Oh, and here’s my first attempt, which also uses the Fall to Layout Sketch #76:

Not quite so spiffy…..I do LOVE this sketch, however….so you may see it again soon!!!  Thanks for visiting today!
