SIP124 Girls' Night Out

Hi everyone!  Tuesday's here and that means a new Stamp Ink Paper challenge!  It was definitely a challenge for me!  Check it out:
 No automatic alt text available.
This theme is a little out of my norm, for sure!  I just don't have any "party" stamps, but I did remember a cute little sentiment from a retired SU set called Love You Sew!  I found some paper with gold accents (although you can't see them here), and Dana had just given me a little leftover bit of glittery ribbon from her wedding bouquet, so I went to work:

I heat-embossed the sentiment (and paint brush) in gold, then used a tag die to cut it out, adding another tag of gold foil behind it, and attached it to the bow with some gold thread.  I also added a vertical strip of gold foil diecut with a scalloped stitched die:

My card base is Early Espresso, and my friend Martha just gifted me with this lovely birthday die, so I cut it out of gold foil as well and added to the inside!

The design team has some wonderful samples they've shared, so be sure to check them out at the Stamp Ink Paper blog!  And meanwhile, share your creation with us as well!

Slowly we are getting the living room back to normal, now that the floors are down; I even got out my turkey collection and put it on the piano for Thanksgiving!  I know I showed these before, but I still love looking at them and I hope you do too!  Some of them are missing their lids, but I don't mind; I started with my grandmother's salt and pepper shakers and now whenever I find one that's not too expensive, I add it to the collection.  There are also some other crafty things along with a little wooden set of Pilgrims and Indians that I got when Dana was small:

Our living room and kitchen are now one big room and painted all the same color....look how different it looks here!!!

And these are my favorites:  an Eldreth Pottery turkey, and a wee set of Pilgrim candles from when I was a little girl!

And Cassidy isn't really playing...she's just sort of foolin' around!  Maybe one of these days, she'll take some lessons!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

CTS181 and CASology 206 Work of Art

Hi peeps!  Phew, it's hot....I feel like singing Martha and the Vandella's HEAT WAVE!!  I decided to cool off with some cool colors and the CAS(E) this Sketch sketch and the cue from CASology:

There are some really fun cards in the CASology gallery; I wish I had the creativity that some of these stampers have!  Mine is rather mundane, although I did do some sponging, which I haven't done in a while:

In the next few weeks, I am going to be highlighting some SU colors that I rarely use!  A wee challenge to myself, you could say!  Today I am using Tempting Turquoise....I love this colors, but for some reason, never think to pull it out!  I stamped the little paintbrush from the Hostess Set (last year) Love You Sew in Tempting Turquoise, Marina Mist and Bermuda Bay, then added some speckles and sponging in Soft Sky.  I stamped the sentiment from Work of Art and added the swoosh from Love You Sew on top, as well as some sequins from my stash:

To do the sponging, I just lined up some Post-it Notes, stamped and sponged...easy peasy!  My final touch was to add a little baker's twine bow; I used the one-hole bow technique so that it doesn't slide off my panel.

Thanks for popping in today!

Cassidy made a little pot in Sunday School a few weeks back and we finally had time to paint it!

Have a blessed day!

MTS120

Happy Monday, peeps!  Hope it was a good weekend for you!  I managed to squeak in some stamping time yesterday after church, a walk and some yardwork!  The Match the Sketch sketch looked interesting:

Since the Occasions catalog will be retiring at the end of next month, I thought I'd use some of the products from it; some Birthday Bouquet DSP and the cute hostess set, Love You Sew:

I used a retired zigzag die to make my horizontal piece; the rest is just simple stamping!  Fun colors of Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride are so fresh and springy!

Thanks for popping in today!

A little shower, some jammies, and Chase the Paw Patrol dude watching over their shoulder, means they're all ready for bedtime stories!

New Catty Stuff and Valentine RAKs

Happy Friday, peeps!  Yay, the weekend is almost here!  I am planning to bundle up and stay warm...it's supposed to be super-duper cold here in PA!  Yikes!

I have a couple of cards to share using products from the Occasions catalog...I have had a lot of fun playing with these sets!  The first one is a little notecard using Love You Sew (hostess only), stamped in Real Red, Watermelon Wonder and Cameo Coral:

How simple and easy is that?  And this one uses the new Balloon punch and Large Numbers dies, along with Watermelon Wonder DSP:

I used words from Endless Birthday Wishes, and the "th" is from Little Numbers.  I added some white dots on my "5" with a white gel pen.  And here's the inside, using confetti from Love You Sew as well as a sentiment from Perfect Pairings:

And finally, I want to share some lovely creations sent to me by my creative friends!  This gorgeous vintage-styled creation is from Linda Hultquist:

This one is from my Paper Players teammate Sandy Mathis:

And this confection is from Shelley Germann:

And to top it off, Shelley knows I love vintage Valentines (vintage anything, really), and she sent me this pristine Valentine as a little gift!  Wheeeee!  I just love it!  And since DH was in the Navy, it means even more!  Isn't it adorable!  I will treasure this one for sure!

And DH still has time for Cassidy to sit on his lap and read to her!!  You can tell she's getting a wee bit bigger...she almost doesn't fit!

Enjoy your day and have a great weekend!

Valentines X Two

Happy Tuesday, peeps....a wee bit more snow today, not a lot, but enough to make me want to stay inside and be cozy!  I made a couple of simple Valentines yesterday....the first is pretty traditional, and it was inspired by Teneale's sketch here, using some Love Blossoms DSP:

The cupid image is from my favorite, but sadly retired, Valentine set, P.S. I Love You....stamped him in Rose Red and fussy-cut him out and attached him to a little banner of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.  The "love" diecut is from Simon Says Stamp, called Small Love You:

I am entering this in the Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge of "Love"!

SIP Challenge 34 - Love 800

The second card uses a non-Valentine stamp set, the hostess set Love You Sew from the Occasions catalog, along with some Melon Mambo cardstock and ink and Everyday Chic DSP:

I just had so much fun stamping all those little stitched lines on the front!! Wheeee!  And on the inside:

That's a good Valentine message, dontcha think?  Love it too!

Here's my little Valentine, sorting out Scrabble letters with Mommy:

Enjoy your day!

TSOT 256 Love You Sew

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  The Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch this week gave me the perfect opportunity to use one of the cutest sets in the Occasions catalog:  Love You Sew!  Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

The sentiments and images in this set just make me giggle!  I love them!  I paired them with some Birthday Bouquet DSP on my 4 1/4" square card and used Watermelon Wonder for the main image; Pink Pirouette for the background and Mint Macaron for the embellishments!  No extra doodads on this card, just stamped images, cardstock and DSP!

Be sure to check out the cute samples from the DT at Try Stampin' on Tuesday---they are really wonderful this week!  And play along with us too...either on the blog or on our FB page!

Movie time with Mommy....unfortunately, I think she fell asleep before Norm of the North was over!

Enjoy your day!
