TMS631 Gather Together

Hi everyone!  I am squeaking in another card today so I don't miss the deadline for Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Here's their sketch:

And here's my take on it:

I recently purchased the background stamp Knit Together and I just love it!  I stamped in on a Soft Succulent card front with matching ink, then added a panel of Harvest Meadow DSP that I softly sponged along the edges.  The wreath was diecut from Sahara Sand cardstock and I colored the leaves with a soft wash of ink as well:

I fussy-cut the sentiment from Pretty Pumpkins and layered it on a vellum banner backed with a Basic White panel, just so it would show up better.  I just love how this came out!  I am also entering this at Happy Little Stampers, where their challenge is Anything Goes with Dies!

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

FMS497 You're Like Cookies

Happy Monday, peeps!  Hope your weekend was great!  Ours was quiet, just like we planned! I read a great book...The Girl from Berlin by Ronald Balson.  I normally don't like reading books about World War II, but this one was quite intriguing!  Anyway, I am squeaking in a couple of cards that use the FMS sketch for this week:

I wanted to make a whimsical card, so I pulled out Nothing Better Than and made a cookie card:

I used some DSP in Poppy Parade, Cinnamon Cider and Early Espresso for my strips and adhered them to my card front, which I partially embossed with the Dots embossing folder.  I stamped and diecut some cookies, then added a little tag with a foam diecut:

and here's the inside:

The second card uses the same layout, this time with a mat of Sweet Symmetry DSP and some flowers from Pierced Blooms:

I had been having some issues getting these flower diecuts with more stitching detail out of the die, but I used my waxed paper tip, layering it between the die and the cardstock, and they popped out like a dream.  I used Night of Navy, Misty Moonlight and Basic White for my strips, and Basic White and Soft Seafoam for my flowers.  I added some Blue Gems for the centers; the sentiment is from Little Delights:

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today!

And here's Cassidy's final project reveal; she had a bit of a learning curve with allowing one color of paint to dry before adding another, but we'll work on that!

(And of course, Dana cried!)  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

HLS Love is Patient

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  I have a clean-and-simple card today; the Happy Little Stampers challenge wants to see our "Off the Edge" stamping,

and I couldn't wait to use a new stamp my friend Martha gave me for my birthday.  So here we go:

I stamped the verse at the lower edge and punched the edge, then added a Tim Holtz floral along with some speckles. I resisted the urge to fill in the flower and decided to leave it open for a more CAS look!

I like this so much, I may make some more!  Thanks for visiting today!  Oh, and I think this is the last of my birthday cards:

This happy, cheerful card is from my friend Wendy:

And this cutie is from my Inspired By teammate, Danni!  LOVE those little mice and cupcakes:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Merry & Bright

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Wow, I realized I have only made three Christmas cards so far this year...I need to step it up!  The CAS Christmas Card Challenge had a color combo that I love (they're have a birthday party too...check it out), so I decided to combine it with the Jingle Belles sketch and the Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge of Anything Goes:

I did originally color in an older SU angel stamp but changed my mind and went to a retired Elzybell image that I have always loved!  Stamped her on some watercolor with Stazon ink and went to work:

I diecut panels of some retired SU DSP with the Stitched Rectangle dies and adhered them to a Crumb Cake card base, then added my little image; she was watercolored with Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler inks.  There is Wink of Stella on the snow but sadly, you can't see it in the photo.  The snowflakes and embossed white sentiments are both from some retired Paper Pumpkin kits:

Another Paper Pumpkin sentiment and snowflake decorated the inside!  It was nice to add another card to my stash!

Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!

IB92 Truck Full of Pumpkins

Happy Thursday, peeps!  It's time for another Inspired By challenge--Laurel always comes up with beautiful inspiration photos!  Here's my take on her challenge today:  a truck full of pumpkins!

And here is her inspiration:

The vintage truck theme is wildly popular these days, but usually it's a RED truck, so I was excited to see this tan truck!!  My mind immediately went to the old SU stamp called Loads of Love, but apparently, I got rid of the Accessories set, which had pumpkins in it!  So I turned to another set called Countryside...it had a perfect vintage truck, but it had the word "apples" on the tailgate and the baskets inside are full of apples...SO....I need you all to put on your imagination hats and pretend that these apples are actually those little baby pumpkins...you can do it!!  Check it out:

I began by stamping my truck with Stazon ink on SU's watercolor paper and using my aquapainter to color it in.  I cut a little scrap piece to fit over the tailgate to hide the word apples...betcha couldn't tell that from the photo, could you?  It blended very well!   After watercoloring it, I diecut it with a Nested Label die, then added a sentiment from an old Impressions Obsession stamp and diecut it as well:

I mounted it on a piece of woodgrain paper, then on a Pear Pizzazz card, and stamped an image and sentiment on the inside:

I am also entering this in Happy Little Stamper's October watercolor challenge!!

I need lots of masculine birthday cards this month and I am really low, so this will go into my stash!  I hope this fun photo will challenge you to make a card too--share it with us at the Inspired By blog!  See you there!  And thanks for popping in today!

So here's the outfit for Wacky Wednesday (and the wacky ham that's wearing it!):

And the wacky hair:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

AYSI204 Holiday Greetings

Happy Friday, peeps!  I hope you had a good 4th, if you celebrated the 4th of July!  It was a hot one, that's for sure! Luckily, my nephew's house has lots of room because right at picnic time, it POURED!!  Still lots of good food and fun, though!

Okay, we've got a new As You See It challenge for you this week....check this out:

No photo description available.

Doesn't that look like a fun recipe?  I loved it!  And here's what I created:

I had gotten this Avery Elle wreath die a while back and thought it would be ideal for a sparkly glimmery red wreath, since it already had stars!  How convenient!  The Mint Macaron sentiment dies were backed with the same red glimmer paper:

And I added a little Mint Macaron bow:

While I was cleaning out my craft room stash lately, I came across some pre-embossed papers that someone had kindly made and mailed to me....I cannot remember who this generous soul was...but I put one to good use as a snowy background!  It went on a Real Red mat for a nice bit of contrast!  And here is the inside; I used some images and sentiments from the retired Stitched with Cheer set!  Love how this turned out!

And since there's a fair amount of sparkle going on with my glimmer paper, I am entering this in the Happy Little Stampers July challenge:

I hope you'll play along with our Christmas recipe to create your own holiday card!  Be sure to share it with us at As You See It!  And be sure to check out what the DT created as well!  Thanks for popping it today!

Twister is still around, LOL!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Crushing on Curry

Happy Friday, peeps!  I had a bit of a rough day yesterday so I hunkered down in my craft room last night for a bit of stamping therapy!  Neither is stellar but at least I got inky!  They both use Crushed Curry ink, too!  The first is for CAS(E) this Sketch:

I pulled out some stamps that hadn't seen ink for a long time!  A plaid background from Unity (Gurnsey Gingham) and a little thumbprint set from Clearly  Besotted (In Print) seemed like a fun match:

This little kitty is stamped in Crushed Curry and Soft Suede on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I used a MFT die and some retired SU burlap ribbon:

He just makes me smile!   My second one is for the Happy Little Stampers challenge of Diecuts as well as the CAS Watercolour Card Challenge for August, which is sunflowers:

I diecut two flowers from some watercolor paper, using a MFT Stitched Flowers die, then watercolored them with Crushed Curry and Soft Suede inks, since I already had them on my desk!  I layered them together, then I added some Old Olive leaves and stem, and mounted them on a Whisper White card that had been embossed with a Lil'Inker Stitched Rectangle die:

The sentiment is from SU's Beautiful Bouquet!  This card was partly inspired by Bonnie's birthday card to me; this picture doesn't do it justice, it is even prettier IRL!

And here's another floral beauty from my friend Linda H:

And this beauty is from my Paper Players teammate Jaydee:

Thank you ladies, for my beautiful cards!  More coming in the next few days!

Cassidy has been saving her money to buy a skateboard, and I thought it might be a good idea to get her one at a yard sale to try out  first!  We hit a fabulous yardsale right around the corner from our house and managed to score a Penny skateboard, two helmets, a boogie board and a plastic toboggan, all for $1 each!!  Look at the look on her face:

So far this is the only way she's been able to ride on it, LOL!

Give her time!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!
