PCC222 Scottie Christmas

Happy Monday, peeps!  We had a nice weekend....attended John's work Christmas party, went to an open house, participated in a little craft class with some neighbors, got our tree...it's not UP yet, but we got it!  Today, hopefully, we'll get it up and decorated!  I am still making Christmas cards and I was in a Scottish mood, so I snagged the Paper Craft Crew sketch for this week and went to work:

Visit the Paper Craft Crew and play along with Card Sketch 222. #pcc2016 #cardsketch www.papercraftcrew.com

These papers from Carta Bella's Christmas Delivery are some of my favorites for this year!  They matched my little Scottie (I think the name of the company is Lost Picture Stamps....they used to be on etsy) so sweetly:

The green banner is from KaiserCraft's Home for Christmas pad; the stitched mat (Lil'Inker) is cut from Old Olive.  I made a tag from an old Cuttlebug die and stamped the sentiment (Our Daily Bread Designs Mini Tag Sentiments) on it in Riding Hood Red ink, then added a candy dot and some twine:

It will be in the mail ASAP!  Thanks for popping in today!

Here are the crafts we made on Saturday....the first was my introduction to felting; we made a little felted snowman with washers, wool roving and some other craft supplies:

Every time I look at him I laugh, because his orange "carrot" nose looks more like a beak than a nose! I'll do better next time!

We also made a quick little folded star ornament.  My neighbor used this tutorial to show us how to make them:

I still need to add a gold cord to the top for hanging, but I wanted to share it, it was so pretty!  Easy, too!  I plan to make some more of these!

Enjoy your day!

Bunny Peace on Earth

DSCF0926-001

Happy Friday, peeps!  I have a fast Christmas card today, since my stash is not very big, I thought I’d better remedy that!  This one uses the challenge from Stamp, Ink Paper:
SIP Any Theme 5
Isn’t that a gorgeous challenge photo?  Just beautiful!  So here’s my CAS take:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Bunny Christmas Peace on Earth

I stamped my bunnies (sorry, I can’t remember the maker) in white craft ink on Sahara Sand, and embossed them with white embossing powder.  I added a little bit of DD glitter around the edges for sparkle.  I mounted it on a piece of Cherry Cobbler that I cut with a Nestability deckle-edge die.  I just got this SU Baker’s Twine….love it in Cherry Cobbler, so pretty!  I used a one-hole bow so that it wouldn’t slip off my card.  Sentiment is retired from Cornish Heritage Farms.

And since I used bunnies, this is also for the City Crafter Challenge this week, which is Woodland Animals!
Thanks for popping by today!

Merry Monday 64

DSCF5257

Happy Monday, everyone!  Happy Memorial Day!  After attending our local Memorial Day parade on one of the coolest May Saturdays I can ever remember, it was not hard to think of making a Christmas card!!!  Here’s the sketch that Lesley has for us all today:

I stretched the sketch a wee bit to make my image work:

MM64-LeAnne

I chose to do a monochromatic card in Pacific Point, using a couple of vintage-style stamps and a glittery snowflake ornament from the sale rack at my local big box store!

I added some DD glitter on the snowy image as well!  Easy peasy!  Now, I hope you’ll play along with us to make another Christmas card for your stash….and check out what the other designers did!  You can see them all at Lesley’s blog, Always Playing with Paper!  And remember, if you have questions, shoot me an email!  Easier to answer that way!

Here are a couple pix of handsome DH cheesing it up at the Memorial Day parade on Saturday…..it was so windy, we almost got blown away, but at least it wasn’t raining!

Our little town may be small, but we have a lot of heart!  Happy Memorial Day!
