Merry Monday 52

DSCF3067-001

Happy Monday, all!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  It is a bit chilly  here—not too hard to think about Christmas, as winter certainly is still here!  Today’s challenge from Lesley is a color challenge:

Poor River Rock….I always forget about him!  So I was glad Lesley challenged us with this combo!  Here we go:

I used a retired set, Perfect Presentation, for my card today, along with the jumbo wheel Jolly Jingles for my background.  I did a little dry embossing, a little punching and a little blinging on my card!!!  A sentiment from More Merry Messages along with some River Rock snowflakes was perfect for the inside:

I used sketch #17 from CAS(e) This Sketch as well:

Hope you can play along with us this week as well.  Be sure to check out the amazing creations the others have made with this holiday color palette.  You can find them all on Lesley’s blog, Always Playing with Paper

I did find a couple of pictures of Cassidy from last month that I don’t think I shared with you:

Merry Monday 45

DSCF1948

Happy Monday, peeps!  Christmas is over, but I still have lots of stamps I haven’t inked up yet!!!  Thank goodness for Merry Monday—I can keep making Christmas cards all year long!  2013 is bringing a couple changes at Merry Monday…..in addition to sketches, we’ll be throwing in some color challenges as well!  Check out today’s challenge:

And here we go:

MM44-LeAnne-002

I pulled out my Jolly Bingo Bits for this card, as well as a retired set called Perfect Presentation for the little tag!  But this card has some other fun NEW stuff on it too!!

Can you see the embossed wavy lines on the card base?  They were made with SU’s Borders Scoring Plate….what a cool tool that is!  And see those little silver stars…..they’re from that Itty Bitties set (again!).  The light cord was drawn freehand using the Silver Stampin’ Dazzle marker, which is still available to purchase!!!  It’s all put together using the sketch 23  from Paper Craft Crew :

So don’t put your Christmas supplies away yet!  Play along with us at Lesley’s blog, Always Playing with Paper, and get an early start on your holiday stash.  I used every single Christmas card I made last year…..and I make a LOT of cards, so you can never have too many!  Be sure to check out what the other designers created as well!

I was working ahead on next week’s MM card and stepped away from my desk for just a second…..and guess who jumped in my chair?

You’ll have to stop back next week to see what she was playing with!

Merry Monday 26

DSCF0991

Happy Monday, peeps!  Wow, what a whirlwind weekend, spent mostly away from home, and my house looks a wreck!  So this will be quick so I can get things back to somewhat normal!  Today’s Merry Monday sketch looks like this:

And here’s my happy little card:

Merry Monday 26 - LeAnne

I honestly can’t remember using this side of this retired SU paper, but it was so cute and happy, I had to pull it out for this card!  I used a retired Christmas set called Perfect Presentation, and used Baja Breeze, Sage Shadow (miss that color!) and Pretty in Pink for my stamped images.  My tag punches made quick work of this little one:

and I just freehand-cut my “joy” letters:

This sketch lends itself to some fun interpretation with some layering and your choice of shape!  Hope you find some time to make one more Christmas card for your stash!!!  Can’t wait to see what you create!  Don’t forget to share it with us at Always Playing with Paper and check out what beauties the other designers made as well!

I don’t have Cassidy this week, but I did find a couple pictures I hadn’t shared yet…..the middle one is blurry, but she has her shades on upside down!  That girl!
