SSC162 and JB Tic Tac Toe Santa

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I've got a vintage-style Christmas card for you today using the Sunday Stamps sketch and the Jingle Belles Tic-tac-toe prompt:

I found this cute little Santa I had printed out from a digital file long, long ago...so long ago, I can't find him again in my computer!  He worked well with the left-hand column of red, glitter and Santa!   I adhered him to a piece of cardstock and fussy-cut him out, then mounted him on a square of Mint Macaron glimmer paper and added a sentiment and sparkly bow. The card background is a paper from KaiserCraft with a bingo card from Simple Stories.  Quick and easy, almost no stamping!

I did stamp some sentiments from My Favorite Things and Holly Jolly Greetings on the inside, and it was done!

Obviously, since Cassidy is not living with us now, it's a little harder to get photos of her...plus she just doesn't want me to take her picture!  Yesterday was "Future Career Day" at school and the students had to dress up as what they wanted to be.....and she grudgingly allowed me to take a picture of her as a future rock star!!!!  Here she is playing air guitar (although she is NOT left-handed!):

And this is her "fake" mohawk, LOL!  You can't see it but there are sparkles in her hair too...very pretty!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

TSOT Ho Ho Ho

Hi everyone!  I really love our sketch for today's Try Stampin on Tuesday challenge!  This card came together so easily!  Check out the sketch, with the optional theme of "Tag Along":

And now for the card:

Isn't that Santa the cutest?  It's a chipboard piece from BoBunny's Candy Cane Lane; I got it a couple of years ago when I went to visit my friend Sandy on Long Island, and am finally breaking into it!!! I believe the tree paper was a gift from my friend Teri; the others are just from my stash, little scraps!  Look how adorable he is:

The sentiment is from SU's Oh What Fun...it works perfectly here, I think!

And on the inside, I combined the "jolly" from the same SU set with words and stars from Holly Jolly Greetings!  They play well together, don't you think?

I think this is a great, versatile sketch and I hope you'll play along with it this week!  You can submit it on the TSOT blog or try out our Facebook page!

We discovered that Cassidy is too tall to stand on a chair to help me at the counter....she can maneuver her plastic knife pretty well without it now!  She is just growing too fast!

Enjoy your day!

TSOT 276 Foxy Christmas

Hi peeps!  Tuesday has rolled around, and with it another wonderful sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday, with the option of polka dots:

The set Foxy Friends has so many possibilities with all its fun elements, and yet, it seems the most I've done with it so far is make Christmas cards, LOL!  This one uses A Little Foxy DSP, because I thought the polka dots looked like snow:

The tree was embossed with white embossing powder and cut out, the "Christmas" sentiment is from Holly Jolly Greetings, also embossed.  I took a little liberty with the banner, creating a "Merry" banner with Labeler Alphabet:

You can't see it, but I added glitter to all the snowflakes as well!  I hope you'll play along with our sketch this week...you can submit your creation to the TSOT blog, or try our Facebook page as well!  Hope to see you in the gallery!

This will give you an idea of the patience my hubby has...here Cassidy is "doctoring" him with her Doc McStuffins ambulance.....can you see his bungee cord oxygen tube?

The man is a saint!

PPA302 Graduation Day

Happy Saturday, everyone!  This is going to be quick, as we are going to our town's annual Memorial Day parade, in which DH will be marching as well as being a part of the Honor Guard which performs the three-volley salute!  So exciting!  My card today is a graduation card for my nephew, whose school colors are green and black!  The new In Color Emerald Envy was perfect:

This is a really large card, almost 5x7"; I wanted to use the Pals Paper Arts sketch shown here:

PPA-302-May26

and it was still a tight squeeze to get all those numbers in!  My background paper is from Canvas Corp, and I used these papers last year on some grad cards and my customer gave me the leftovers!  The chevron looked great with the bold green numbers!  The "class of" is from last year's Occasions Catalog, and I just cut off the "2015".   The sentiment at the top is from Paper Pumpkin and I added a little mortarboard which was also from last year's set!

And on the inside, more Paper Pumpkin sentiments and images, and the stars from Holly Jolly Greetings!

Thanks for popping in!

Cassidy got some bath crayons and was practicing writing names on the tub wall!

This one was my favorite:

Enjoy your day!

CTS171 Joyeux Noel

Hi everyone!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend.....the SUN FINALLY CAME OUT in Pennsylvania, and that was the best Mother's Day gift I could ask for!  I was beginning to feel like a mushroom.  Of course, Dana did make me breakfast, took me out to lunch and got me some little goodies, so that was good too!

My friend Linda used the CAS(E) this Sketch sketch for her Paper Players card (you can see it here) and I loved it so much, I decided to use a few scraps I had laying on my desk to make a Christmas card!  Here we go:

The little stitched square is from the center of my own Paper Players card; I cut out the Dazzling Diamonds greenery (Tim Holtz) for another card but didn't use it, and I had this little tag cut out from another diecut threesome and was saving it for....whatever!

The background is from SU's Holly Jolly Greetings, stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  I stamped a sentiment from an Artistic Outpost set called Snowy Woods, and added an enamel dot (SU), then stamped another sentiment from the same set on the inside:

The holly is from another AO set called Sleigh Ride, stamped in Pear Pizzazz with markered berries.

The nice weather prompted Dana and Cassidy to wash the car....it was still a bit too chilly for me to be in shorts and bare feet, though!

Of course, the suds piled up and led to this.....

which led to this!

She went right into the bathtub after this and was asleep by 6 pm!!!  Washing one's car is hard work!  Enjoy your day!

Baby Boy Card

Happy Thursday, peeps!  When I saw the Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge yesterday, I was disappointed, because I didn't really need any baby cards:

SIP Theme 45 800

Then a notice popped up in my inbox that one of our church families just had a baby!  Yippee!  So I went to work:

I used a retired Project Life card to cut my Pear Pizzazz panel, using a Chalk Talk die; the banner is some retired DSP, and the sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners.  The stamped stars are from Holly Jolly Greetings, and the star diecuts are from Simon Says Stamp and My Favorite Things. I used the colors from ColourQ and the sketch from Paper Craft Crew:

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch 192

Now my only problem is that when I double-checked my email, the couple had a GIRL....duh!  So you'll have to come back tomorrow to see that card, LOL!

Meanwhile, check out my be-spectacled girls....yep, Cassidy got glasses yesterday!

Enjoy your day!

TSOT Duet

Ah, Wednesday....the middle of the week, all downhill from here!  I have another duet of cards today ( hope you're not sick of them!), both using the Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch for this week:

A couple of the designers did two cards, so I did too!  The optional theme is "Spring is Here"....well, spring sort of came for a few days here in PA, then went into hibernation!  We've had below freezing temps at night and let's just say, I am trying to get spring BACK!  These gorgeous Simple Stories' I Am floral papers have been calling my name:

I also used some Graphic 45 paper from their Botanical Tea line (solid pink diecut circle) and So Saffron to diecut the sun, which was a gift from my friend Martha, and I don't know the manufacturer.  I added some cheery baker's twine, and the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday called Beauty of Spring, and it was stamped with Regal Rose and diecut with the Chalk Talk die:

Even though the weather doesn't feel spring-like, this card makes me think it well get here eventually!

The next card uses the same sketch, as well as the Merry Monday challenge to use a sentiment as your focal point, and the Stamp, Ink Paper color challenge:

SIP 42 Color Challenge 800

One of my favorite purchases from last year was Papertrey's O Holy Night....it's perfect for this challenge!  I stamped the verse in Night of Navy, added circles of Soft Sky and Bermuda Bay that had been stamped with silver stars (Holly Jolly Greetings) and finished it with some silver accents:

Can you believe it...the DSP is from the Halloween DSP line from last year...it's perfect too!  Thanks for popping by today!

I do not recommend having your pedicure done while you are hanging upside down!

She is such a silly girl!

Enjoy your day!
