Sand Between Her Toes CYCI69

DSCF9927

I loved the sketch from Can You Case It this week:

CYCI#69

but I realized I was running out of time!  So here’s a quick card using the sketch as well as the Free for All 273 challenge at Splitcoaststampers, which I haven’t played in forever!  The theme is “Sand between Your Toes” and I had the perfect Artistic Outpost set for it:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Vintage Beachy Sand Between her Toes Artistic Outpost

I used some retired Baked Brown Sugar textured cardstock along with Very Vanilla textured cardstock, stamped the background images in Soft Sky and stamped the bathing beauty in Soft Suede:

DSCF9928

I love how the textured cardstock gives it an even more vintage feel!  I stamped some shells as the bottom, added my sentiment and some burlap and baker’s twine trim!  Hope you like it!

A little more playtime from yesterday:

CAS Shabby

DSCF4342

Happy Monday, everyone!  Are you looking for Merry MondayLesley is sick today, so it’s going to be a wee bit late!  Instead, I played with the CAS sketch challenge at SCS, which I haven’t done in a long, long time!  I also used the challenge from the Shabby Tea Room as my inspiration:

Obviously, my card is not really shabby, but I so loved the colors and images in this photo, I had to use it as my starting point:

DSCF4341

We were to use polka dots, flowers, yellow and green….I think I got it covered!  I used a retired die for my flower, layering it three times; polka dot paper is from Polka Dot Parade; gingham and sentiment stamps are PTI.  Isn’t that center sweet?

DSCF4343

I hope Lesley feels better soon…perhaps I should have made this into a get-well card for HER!!!  Have a blessed Monday!

IB67 and SC429

DSCF3493

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  This is going to be lickety split fast, as we are headed to an Easter party today at my friend Athena’s house.  Cassidy LOVES Athena, so it should be fun!

Today’s card is for the sketch at SCS shown here as well as the Inspired By photo this week….is this cute or what?

I rarely do “punny” cards, but I had this idea rattling around in my head for a while:

DSCF3490

Corny, I know!  I just couldn’t help it!  This retired chocolate Easter bunny was a perfect choice for the inspiration photo!!!   I used the new 7/8” scallop punch to “bite off” his ears!  I also used the sentiment from Ears to You---still available, until March 31!

DSCF3491

My bunny was stamped in Versamark ink on Chocolate Chip cardstock and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  Can you see the shine?

DSCF3492

I had the Crumb Cake piece already embossed, so I just added the pink stripes and embellishments!  Any questions….shoot me an email!

Cassidy was fascinated by the hard-boiled eggs I was making for tomorrow’s egg-dying eggscapade!!!

And you may be able to see a little “boo-boo” under her nose….a little mishap from the other sitter’s house!!! No worse the wear!  Enjoy your day!

DD44 & SC428

DSCF3340

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I am way late today---had a busy day yesterday, no stamping time, but I did get my taxes done!  Today, it was cold but sunny outside, so Cassidy and I did some playtime in the fresh air!

I have not participated in any SCS or Dynamic Duos challenges lately, so I thought I would marry Korin’s sketch and Lesley’s colors today!  You an see the sketch here and here is the DD challenge:

Since I needed a hostess thank you, I used all SU products today:

DSCF3337

My hostess just happened to purchase a Big Shot AND the Itty Bitties set, so I used both in making my card!  The Top Note is embossed with the Cloudy Day EF---I even punched out a piece from it to use for the scalloped mat behind my bee image---just covered up the hole with my striped panel-----and I used the little bee for my banner!   I love the fresh, clean look of this!  I added a little glitter to his wings, too:

DSCF3339

The bee is from Every Little Bit and the sentiment is from Fabulous Phrases, and the banner was cut with the Itty Bitty Banner die.

Thanks for looking today!

CAS194 & IB47

DSCF0414

We are still on hurricane watch here in SE PA, and we still have power, so I was able to get a little extra stamping time in today!  I was thrilled to have this card chosen as a winner for the last Inspired By challenge!  Woohoo!  So of course, I wanted to play again this week because look at this fun inspiration photo:

The clean and simple challenge at SCS was collage style, and I love that as well, so I did a one-layer card incorporating some vintage images with a pink typewriter from Established Elegance:

DSCF0416

I stamped my typewriter in Blushing Bride, then using my SU grid paper, I made a mask for the front of my card as well as a mask for the typewriter, and sponged the inside with Sahara Sand ink, then stamped my collage images.  A simple saying from Blessings from Heaven and my one-layer card was done!

Praying that everyone is staying safe, warm & dry on the east coast!  And thank you to those who have been praying for us…we appreciate it!

Four for Fall

DSCF8826

Before I begin today, I have had a couple of people ask about the supplies that I use on my cards via the comment section.  Unfortunately, since they are signed in anonymously, I cannot answer the questions!  So if you have any questions, be sure to send me a separate email….my address is on the right sidebar!  Love to help you!!

I did some “fall” stamping this week, and completed some challenges as well!  I seem to have been on a Crumb Cake kick!  This one is for the Little Red Wagon challenge 154—“Falling for You”:

DSCF8824

This uses the wonderful fall colors of More Mustard, Tangerine Tango, Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze.  Each leaf was stamped and punched with SU’s 1” square punch.

This card was for SCS’s CAS191 challenge, which was to use plaid:

DSCF8858

I printed out some digital gingham paper, added a simple PTI wreath and some Tim Holtz sticker letters; I embellished the wreath with a little heart and ribbon:

DSCF8859-001

The next one is kind of a departure for me….it uses scrapbooking stickers and no stamping, at least on the outside!  I got these Debbie Mumm stickers at a show I attended, and I thought I would use one or two to embellish a card, but I ended up using a whole bunch of them!!!  They are big shiny 3D stickers…love ‘em!  Same paper as above, on a Chocolate Chip card base:

DSCF8861

This qualifies for Use It Tuesday #41---a new challenge for me—All About Fall.  We’re supposed to use something that’s been in our stash, and these are definitely all about fall!  I used two PTI sentiments for the inside:

DSCF8863

Finally, this card is for the Papercraft Star challenge #116—Fall Colors.  Check out this inspiration photo:

And here is my card:

DSCF8864

The card mat was embossed with a Cuttlebug fall EF and leaves were attached to a burlap panel.  Another PTI sentiment on the inside:

Thanks for looking!  And remember, if you have any questions, just shoot me an email!

DSCF5641-001

Just a quick post today as I need to be out the door! I squeaked in some stamping time yesterday using the SCS Sketch Challenge sketch #395 and am also entering it in the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge 128, which is a beach theme!

And here is my card:

The image was stamped on watercolor paper and colored with an aquapainter and reinkers!  If you have any questions, just shoot me an email!!!
