Stamp Club Projects

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Almost halfway through the week, yippee!  I thought I would share a couple of the stamp club projects we made on Monday.  I enjoyed making the box card shown here so I thought my stamp girls would too!  Both groups used DSP from Come to Gather, in different patterns and palettes.  Instead of using a circle die to cut out the opening, this time we used the Stitched Rectangle dies.  So here they are (the center panel on the first one looks off-center but it is only because of the camera angle!):

To create the opening and the inside panel, we adhered a piece of DSP to the front of the card, adhering the SIDES only.  Then we cut out a panel using one of the Stitched Rectangle dies; it is a little challenging to get it through the Big Shot as you are cutting through two layers, but it will work!  Because there is no adhesive holding the layers together in the center, you are able to separate them (save the white layer for another use), then you can then flip the DSP over and cut a smaller panel using the next size down die.  Adhere that piece to the center and decorate as desired!  For these, we used the Seasonal Layers leaf dies, and added a sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays, also diecut with the Stitched Rectangle dies.  A sentiment can be added to the back, if desired.  Once finished, these can be pushed flat and they fit into a standard envelope! I really enjoy making these cards!  Thanks for popping in today!

Wayne's company did a charity golf outing yesterday for the Make a Wish Foundation (they raised $31K!!!), and he brought home one of the centerpieces from their table:

Isn't that pretty?! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Cardinal Christmas Wishes

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Doesn't it feel like Monday?  Labor Day always messes my schedule all up!  Anyway, my friend Michele has been making these amazing box cards using Shari Carroll's YouTube video (which you can see HERE, and you can see Michele's blog with her amazing creations HERE).  SO....I made up my mind to give one a shot and it was a lot of fun, and easier than you might think!  So here is my first attempt using Toile Christmas:

All images were stamped on Whisper White cardstock, colored with Blends and diecut with the Christmas Cardinal Dies.  I randomly stamped the branch on the Crumb Cake card with Sahara Sand ink and lined the inside with Shaded Spruce DSP.  Here's a side view so you can see the "box"; it folds flat to fit in a standard size envelope, too!

The pretty sentiment banner is part of the set too....even though the images in this set are large, they're easy to color and not intimidating at all!  And they'll be available tomorrow!! Woohoo!

Thanks for popping in today!

Sunday morning before it got hot, I was in the garden picking (more) green beans, and I heard a "whoosh" and looked up to see this:

Over the years, we've seen a couple of balloons fly over, but it's been several years since we've had any, so it was really fun to see!  And it was a perfect day for it!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!
